So far my favorite costume was the straight jacket I made a few years ago. I used my fly aways to make my hair look crazy and had a blast at work! This year (if I can get all the materials) I am going to dress up as Pikachu and since I build static easily I am going to (literally) shock people!

Last year I dressed up as Carmen San Diego and walked around with theme music. It was awesome!
For our first Halloween as a family, we all dressed up as cows. Hubby and I looked like big ole dorks but our daughter was deliciously adorable in a sweet cow costume that had made the rounds with all my girlfriends’ kids. What a great memory.

One year when I was a kid my grandmother made my sister and I matching capes to wear because we dressed up as witches. They were made of sparkly purple fabric and we kept them for years and years. I still remember them as my favorite costume of all time.

One of my best costumes as a kid was a witch. My mom was a makeup artist and made me, a three year old at the time, look like an old wrinkly witch! When the kids were at home I always dressed up like a witch. I had a long black gown, a very long black wig and would paint my face a lovely shade of green. Complete with a large ugly mole! One year we moved next door to a couple of little boys. Come Halloween I dress up just like I always did. Light the living room with lots of candles and set out my black pot with the candy in it.My new neighbor boys ring the bell and I answer it.
They take one look. ..drop their trick or treat buckets and head for home! One of my kids goes over to check on them and they are telling their mom they are NEVER going over there again that a real witch lives there. That’s been 35 years ago and I still miss all the fun we had .We now live in a community that we get less than 15 kids for trick or treat night. Not as much fun. I guess I am just a kid at heart!

Years ago, I pretended I was ill and unable to go to a big Halloween party with my Husband. He went without me in a rediculous last minute clown costume that was way too small for him. Right after he left I put my costume together. I was my Husband for Halloween. God love him but back then he dressed like a goof ball. White guy that is all about hip hop. Ridiculously baggy jeans with his boxers and butt hanging out. Skate shoes, oversized T-shirt and baseball cap. I must have put together a pretty good costume because it took awhile for anyone to recognize me at the party. I finally walked up to my Hubby and all our friends, introduced myself as Blair. They just stood there and stared at me! When they finally figured out who I was and who I was dressed as…well let’s just say nobody has ever taken away my title of best costume yet!
