  34. Before they could choose and wanted store bought costumes, we made our kids costumes and I think we were pretty crafty. Finally in the pre-teen years, they called on mom & dad to help and our favorite was my son’s “headless man”. Used small throw pillows and football pads to “raise” his shoulders up. Dad constructed a neck with fake blood, cord, & veiny stuff (mildly gorey) that you only saw if you were a tall person. We led him around the neighborhood. Sadly, that was his last time TorT.
