When I was in grade school I dressed up as a “rock star” every single year for Halloween. Some years I went as a child version of Stevie Nicks, other years I wore a leotard with tights [no pants!] and sprayed my hair pink in some weird attempt to look “punk.” Those were my favorite Halloween costumes ever! And to this very day, I’m a complete sucker for Snickers on Halloween – or anytime, really. =]
I love to dress up as minnie mouse! :) its such a classic that is so recognizable at any age :)

As a kid, my favorite costume was a werewolf. I’d wear ratty old jeans, a torn flanel shirt, brown face paint, fake fangs and tease my hair!! It was fun…….and cheap!!!

Last year my husband and I dressed up as jack and Jill that fell down the hill.

My fave costume had to have been the time when my mom made me a “bunch of grapes” aka just a bunch of purple balloons attached to my clothes and my baby brother was a grape that “fell off” and he was dressed in purple with one balloon attached somewhere. I think I was about 3 or 4 and he was 2 or 3. Still my favorite!
I made my son a ‘One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying Purple People-Eater’ costume a few years ago and it fits me. Not everyone gets it, but I make myself laugh! Any candy corn makes every day Halloween!

Back in the day, the most fun my sister and I had trick or treating was going to our neighbors houses and getting all of the homemade goodies like the caramel apples, popcorn balls and homemade candies.
My favorite costume that I wore was probably two years ago as Medusa. I didn’t buy it premade. I wore a green dress and curled my hair so that I could easily pin the plastic snakes on my head. I also wore a headband with a snake on it and some green ribbons. All I needed were special eyes to turn people into stone, lol.
