They Got Me

The other day I was doing a little impromptu shopping. I had already spent more than I wanted and I was about to pass the Williams-Sonoma store. I said to myself. “Walk faster. Faster. Don’t look in. You don’t need anything else. Whatever you do…

…don’t stop…

Don’t look in the …”

photo

Dang. They got me.

I really tried not to go in, but how could I be complete without these Star Wars Cookie Cutters. I knew if I left empty handed, I’d wish I had bought them in the off chance someone I know wants Boba Fett cookies one day. So I went in, telling myself the whole time I would just have a peek. I can resist.

IMG_0100

I can resist so well that I only bought two. One for me and one for you. Okay, one for one of you.

IMG_0033

Now, I like to bake to go along with a giveaway if I can, but I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to make and pipe these this weekend and I just couldn’t wait to show you these cutters. Plus, my piping skills might deter you from wanting to try them. Piping royal icing is a skill I need to work on, but the way to go if you’re up for it. They’d still be super cute just like this photo from the back of the box, though.

IMG_0079

The cutters have plungers that make impressions in the sugar cookie dough as you cut shapes.

IMG_0066

You can whip up some Storm Troopers…

IMG_0072

A Dark Lord perhaps.

IMG_0075

Maybe some Boba Fett’s just so you can say the name over and over.

IMG_0073

And you have to make Yoda, of course. Make him you should. And eat him you shall.

But… but wait… where’s Chewbacca and R2-D2? What’s up with that? I want to nibble on a little Wookiee. And maybe a little Harrison Ford.

They need a second edition. Fingers crossed.

IMG_0052

The set comes packaged in a cute box with a recipe for cookies and icing.

Besides the kiddies going gaga for these, I think it would make a great gift for Daddy’s Day. Well, it might make some Daddy’s Day, not all.

  26. My husband and son bond over star wars. My son has two light sabers, action figures galore, and loves to play lego star wars on the computer. Thank you, Melissa

  27. Star Wars brings back the sweetest memories of my little brother – I was 17 years older than him and took him to see the movie, with which he then became obsessed. I helped him collect lots of the little plastic figure toys from the movie, and bought him the books. Sugar cookies are his favorite treat. Now that he is 30-something and busy with little ones of his own, how I would love to surprise him with a batch of Star Wars cookies in the mail :-)

  28. My son would love these! He has a lot of the characters & loves the Star Wars Lego game for Wii!

  31. Just SOMETHING about Star Wars? OK. I wish I could do the double buns on the side of my head like Leia. 37. We are a family of Star Wars nerds. My favorite part…the famous line from Yoda “Do or do not, there is no try.” I use it all the time with my kiddos.

  42. My best friend is absolutely obsessed with Star Wars. I like the series myself (the original three movies, anyway) but this girl – she is in love with everything Star Wars.

I would love a set of these to make her a really rockin’ ‘thanks for being my bud’ gift. Then maybe she’ll finally forgive me for my torrid affair with a certain other sci-fi franchise with the word ‘Star’ in it.

  43. I remember the first movie we went to see as a family was Star Wars: A New Hope waaaay back in 1976. We were all mesmerized at the special effects!

  44. Love these! My four year old son loves to look at your blog with me and he is so excited by these cookie cutters. Would love to have them. I think i’m going to have to make a trip to Williams Sonoma too.

  48. I was never a fan of Star Wars until I met my husband. Yoda is my favorite character. He’s just so cute!

  49. Recently we picked up Star Wars LEGO for PS3 … SO much fun! :D As long as I’m a Jedi with the force, I’m happy.

  50. I remember a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, when my son was a wee little Ewok. He was getting a Millenium Falcon for Christmas and my boss and I sitting in his office floor on Christmas Eve day putting that crazy thing together. We cussed and laughed and my 19 yo Ewok still has that Millenium Falcon in the attic with the other Star Wars toys. Great memories, awesome boss and wonderful son! I bet I could make cookies with these and mail them to my old boss and some for my son! Good times!!

  51. We love Star Wars! Wouldn’t have been cute if they had made Wookie cookies?

  52. My little man loves playing the Lego’s themselves and playing the video game. He has seen all of the movies too. He kept asking for the expensive light saber last year. I had to get it for him, since the them for my Relay for Life’s team was Star Wars. My kids would love to help me make Star Wars cookies and I would be top Mom for a while.

  53. These are sooo cool!! My husband will love ’em =)

  54. I had a r2-d2.cake as a kid it is one of my earliest memories.

  55. My son walked by as I was reading your blog and he is jumping up and down with excitement saying he wants to have a Star Wars party. His dad will be pround. So now I guess I will be planning a Star Wars themed party and these cookie cutter are going to be a must. Thanks for offering the giveaway. If I don’t win I guess I will be visiting the closest Williams- Sonoma, too. Again Thanks!

  56. My favorite character is AAR TOO DEE TOO!!!!
I lost count of how many figures I have a long time ago.
I know. Huge nerd. But the Mrs. excepts me.

  57. I love me some Yoda! :)

  58. Ewok cookies would be the greatest! Bite size…

  59. My boys love Star Wars and they would really love their momma if she surprised them with Star Wars cookies!

  60. My friend in high school had this R2-D2 telephone that scared the daylights out of me the first time I heard it ring because I had no idea what it was. For some reason, though, she got rid of it when she got married. I was so sad.

  61. My family likes to play board games when we get together. The last time we tried Imaginiff. The question about me was “If Kelli was a character in Star Wars who would she be?” My Mom and I picked Han Solo because omgdreamyIlovehim. The rest of my family all said I was Darth Vader… Apparently I still have to love my family because my Jedi Mind control powers aren’t up to Vaders level and none of them choked to death on their wine. Harumph. These cookies would be a good way to have another laugh at my expense at the next family gathering.

  62. My son (who happens to be named Luke) is a HUGE Star Wars fan. In fact, he tells people (like teachers!) that his middle name is Skywalker. He takes karate, but calls it Jedi training and he has 8 – count ’em 8 – lightsabers. He turns 7 next week and all he wants is the Star Wars Clone Wars Wii game. Darth Vader cookies would send him over the moon!

  63. How can anyone’s favorite Star Wars character be anyone but Yoda? My son is just starting to learn about all things Wars of the Stars and would totally dig these. Plus, it would keep me out of Williams-Sonoma, thus saving my marriage :)

  64. My son told his school I was a good mom because I play Star Wars Wii with him. We are creating new Star Wars fans!

  65. I knew a few people who would love me to make them some cookies with those ;)

  66. These are sooooo cute. My favorite is R2D2 – I wish he was included!!!

  67. i want, i want, i want. my hubby and friends are huge star wars fans. even our friend jesper from sweden has a whole sleeve of star wars characters on his arm. soo fun, and i would love to be able to make these for them.

  68. I love Star Wars… Chewie is my favourite for sure…
Have you ever thought about Star wars Cake Pops??? I think you should put it on your list!!!

  69. I must have these! Seriously… if I don’t win them, I’m ordering them online. I had at least 3 dozen Star Wars figures as a kid. We also had the Millenium Falcon, a Hoth playset, the Ewok Village. -sigh- My husband was also a Star Wars fanatic. In fact, we still have his Star Wars sheets from when he was a kid. They’re on our almost 5 year old son’s bed right now. Our son is VERY in to Star Wars. I would have to say “Empire Strikes Back” is my favorite. What a fun giveway!

  70. Han shot first.

  71. My Star Wars confession is that I have somehow managed in my 25 years to only see 2 of the 6 movies. As a kid, though, I LOVED An Ewok Adventure. My boyfriend loves all things Star Wars and would flip over these cookies!

  72. I thought my husband was joking when we were dating and he claimed to have watched the Star Wars saga at least forty times through. Now that we have been married seven years and have watched the Star Wars saga at least eighty million times through, I believe him! My husband’s favorite character is Boba Fett, and I’m pretty sure I would get some new jewelry if a Boba Fett cookie ended up on his dessert plate. :)

  73. I absolutely ADORE the ewoks in the 3rd movie!!! They are like giant fuzzy teddy bears….that’s my favorite part!

  74. My lifelong friend is so addicted to Star-Wars he has a whole room dedicated to it. It’s verging on tragic I have to say :)
But nevermind, I just know he’d adore some Star Wars cookies to match!

  75. I love it! This might make up for not going to Star Wars Weekends at Disney this year. We can have our own SWW anytime of the year!

  76. I love Chewie. He’s just so cute and furry.

Of course if you grew up when the movies were huge didn’t love either Luke or Han? I’m a Han girl myself. :)

  77. I hadn’t seen Star Wars until a few years ago and then got hooked!

  78. I had ALL the Star Wars figurines at one point! My coveted toy: The Darth Vador case they all fit in and traveled with me. Okay so they often played with my Barbies but hey, “can’t we all just get along?” These Cookie Cutters are great!! Would love to play with them! They should come in a Darth Vador carrying case!

  79. ha! love it! watching Star Wars with my brother when I was growing up is one of my fav memories.

  80. What a blast from the past! I remember it like yesterday…. It was the summer between 8th grade and Freshman year, and my brother and I saw Star Wars 7 times at the theater, because we couldn’t get enough of it. The movie was the most amazing thing ever. It really became a common ground for my brother and I.

  81. I am a HUGE fan! So big that I actually have a tattoo on my back thats Star Wars themed…. a bit silly I know but how else could a girl show her true love for the best science fiction movie out there to date. I have actually read most of the books surrounding Star Wars too. My favorite character, in both the movie and books, is Boba Fett. He had such a limited part in the movies but man do they really get into some character building in the books….. and I’m gonna stop right now before I geek out on you all anymore. So, needless to say I’d LOVE those cookie cutters.

  82. Oh, my husband would LOVE it if I won these! He is a big fan. Hm, star wars story, I don’t have much. Although, a while back my husband bought a lego set with all the characters, built the characters and then proceeded (with out telling me) to PUT THEM ALL ON OUR WEDDING PICTURE SHELF!!!

Imagine my surprise one morning when I glance up and smile lovingly to see my wedding pictures only to have yoda staring back at me…grrr.

  83. I am not a big fan of Star Wars, but I loved the hilarious parody Space Balls. I would love to have these cutters! They look awesome and there are so many people who are such fans that I am sure I could use them.

  84. oh.my.god

My inner geek just exploded with happiness, either that or my casserole in the oven did. Either way, there was definately a loud bang.

I’m currently trying to make an Imperial Stormtrooper costume, ok..I lied. I’m trying to convince my boyfriend to make me an Imperial Stormtrooper costume. With those cookie cutters, lots of begging, those cookie cutters and more importantly, those cookie cutters I think I might be able to convince him to make it for me.

  85. oh i love star wars .. when i had foot surgery.. at 35.. i was laid up for week.. watched them all.

  86. Funny how life comes circling around. I grew up with Star Wars figures that were my brothers and played with them. Now I watch my little boy getting into Star Wars even without every seeing a movie (but reading books instead) and his little sister playing with him. Love it!

  87. I love all 3 of the ‘old’ starwars movies. The new ones not so much… Think my favorite is Return of the Jedi.

  88. Oh my gosh, these are the most awesome cookie cutters I’ve ever seen. Can you get them online? I HAVE to get them online! I’m a Star Wars fan since I was a little girl because all the family always watched the old (they were already “old” then) films together. I don’t like the new films, besides Episode I: The Phantom Menace. And lately I realized, guys love that I like Star Wars, haha.

  89. I have a friend who got star wars trivial pursuit one year for Christmas. As luck would have it he rolled to go first. He answered every question correctly and finished the game, without anyone else getting a chance to participate. He’s no longer allowed to play that game with anyone!

  90. I have a game for Wii where me and my boyfriend battle each other with light sabers. Too much fun! I don’t have a particular favorite character, but I love the movies! These are awesome.

  91. I have to admit, I know NOTHING about Star Wars… but I have a friend that these would be PERFECT for. She is the biggest Star Wars fan that I’ve ever met – and in that adorable girl way, not a creepy way :) She also just found her new love of baking / cooking, so this would be the most perfect gift for her 30th birthday, which is coming up soon!

  92. These are so adorable! My husband loves Star Wars and would love to get these for Father’s Day.

  93. Wow, so MANY comments, so my chance is slim. But wanted to let you know I live in a house of 3 boys (1 hubby and 2 boys) and it is ALL Star Wars ALL the time here. Much to my husband’s glee, and my, well, my…fading amusement. Not only do we have Star Wars figurines, Star Wars ships, sheets, coloring books, Tag Readers, video games, and recently added, Star Wars Legos. I guess what I am saying is that my collection needs cookies! (you know to help me get through the day!)

  94. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with the Ewok movies so when I saw Return of the Jedi, I was hooked! It’s one of my favorite all time movies! :)

  95. HOLY COW!!! Me and my husband are HUGE Star Wars fans!! We passed along our love of the saga to our son! :o) He has tons of figures and ships and knows all sorts of trivia! These are soooo cool! :o)

  96. I remember going to the movies to see Jedi…I was really young and the only 2 things I remember was that it was my cousin’s B-day present and the Ewoks…As I got older, I really loved the series…My 2 favorite Star Wars memories have to be waiting in line for a midnight screening of Episode One which coincided with the grand opening of our local theater, and playing Lego Star Wars on Xbox with my husband!

  97. This is hilarious! I love it! Well, my husband is very into Star Wars. Before we moved to GA we had friends that we played the Star Wars role playing game with. Yes, we all played. Even the wives ;)
And I have no idea how many Star Wars figureines my husband has. 3 Starships though. If I don’t win I may have to go hunting for these :D Very fun!

  98. I have wonderful memories of going to see all the Star Wars movies with my Dad and Brothers when I was a kid. If you asked me today what movie was what I couldn’t tell you. I also remember all the toys my brothers had, I especially loved the masher that came with foam squares. I know the men in my life would just love these cookies!

  99. I remember standing in line for the first movie (yeah, I am THAT old!)

  100. I have two boys, ages 4 and 7. I would be the coolest Mom on the block if I won these cookie cutters!

  101. We are HUGE Star Wars fans in our house. My husband, sons, daughter and myself are all fans. We even have dressed up for a Halloween party this year as Star Wars Character. Very fun!

  102. Oh my goodness. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. He still collects the action figures. (He’s 28) Now I don’t usually indulge in this world of his, but his birthday is in August, and I would love to surprise him with some Star Wars cookies!

  103. Luke, I am your fathaaaaa

  104. I’m a Hans Solo fan all the way. How can you resist 70’s/80’s Harrison Ford??

  105. love the originals, but also really enjoying the recent Family Guy and Robot Chicken parodies

  106. Star Wars reminds me of my teenagers years. I had a crush on Luke. Now that my son are into Star Wars too, I feel so old!

  107. My favorite star wars movie is probably Revenge of the Sith.

    Love the cookie cutters!

    Claire

  108. Aww, those are so fun! I think little Yoda is the best! :)

  109. WE’re big star wars fans, I think that the Empire Strikes back is probably my favorite but I love them all. My hubs has a nice size of random star wars items. We’re big on Darth Vader too.
Hope to win love these cookie cutters!

  110. I remember going to see the original Star Wars with my mom and brother. I even had C3PO earings and a necklace.

  111. Hubby is a HUGE fan – and son was Yoda for Halloween last year. I HAVE to get these, even if I don’t win! Thanks for finding!

  112. I looooveeee Star Wars films, they’re just great¡¡¡My brother is a huge fan,he collects everything from starships to (Darth Vader )Mr. Potatoe Head¡¡ He has a little R2D2 that walks, talks … oh,I know the force is with me…I’ll have the cookie cutters to complete the collection (& he would really be surprise with the Yoda cookies¡¡¡

  113. I always wanted to be like Princess Leah. In fact I have a son named Luke.

  114. Our family is actually not into Star Wars, but my nephew would flip over these cookie cutters. He loves Star Wars. I hope I win. Thanks for the chance.

  115. OMG< I know there is no way I will win….. I am headed over there tommorrow!!!!!!! so cute!

  116. these cookie cutters are amazing!! i would say yoda is probably my favorite character, though i LOVE ewoks to the fullest.

  117. My son loves star wars, and I love to make cookies. Winning these is a win-win :) so very cute, might have to buy them if I don’t win them

  118. *giggle* You said, “nibble on Harrison Ford”. Since my son was born 2 and a half years ago, I’ve been patiently waiting for him to be old enough to appreciate the ENTIRE series. Yes, the “new” ones aren’t as good as the original three, but it’s worth it to get the whole story. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  119. My husband is a Star Wars fanatic. His parents’ basement was absolutely filled with Star Wars collectibles when we were first married. And he’s doing a great job of training our kids to follow his footsteps – our son’s first Christmas gift was all of the Burger King Star Wars toys that he’d bought on Ebay. And this year, he will be having a massive Star Wars birthday party (his first friend party.) He would go crazy over these!

  120. WOW – my son(7) is a HUGE Star Wars fan. We had an amazing birthday party where the boys were trained to become Jedis. Very cool and fun party. He collects the LEGO Star Wars ships. However, my husband is also a junkie and his parents passed down his 100+ figures to our son. They both love to get them out and create scenes with the different LEGO ships.

  121. This is so funny! Just saw these yesterday online.. I love them! My favorite memory was when I had just met my (now) hubbie. We were looking at a broken light fixture in my older cousin’s room (who lived with us at the time) that his brother had broken the day before with one of his collector edition light sabers. And I said without even thinking “Well I guess his metaclorinian count wasn’t high enough.” We all three died laughing..including my then boyfriend. I knew our dorkiness matched and I would someday marry him! Thanks Star Wars!

  122. So cute! I love Yoda! When my kids were teeny babies, I had a onesie with Yoda that said “Size Matters Not”. These cookie cutters are perfect!

  123. My 3 boys love Star Wars. We have light saber battles and fight the the storm troopers. These are great cookie cutters.

  124. Oh my word, those are so fun. My husband would love that. He has been a star wars fan since he was a kid and still had all of his star wars figures, ships and accessories from when he was a kid! It is quite a collection. He has a smaller collection of the new toys as well. I have no idea the number! I would love to make those cookies for him!
    Thanks!

  125. My nephews are all obsessed with Star Wars!! I
m currently the favorite Aunt, these may just help me retain that status! :)

  126. My husband and I took my son to see Star Wars when he was small. He loved it. I think my husband loved it more. they both saw it about 17 times. Today, at 37, my son still collects Star Wars….he has everything and loves it. this is something I’ve never seen before and my son’s birthday is in July. I think it would be a great gift for him…thanks for all the great stuff you do. This is something I enjoy.

  127. I’ve never actually seen Star Wars. I have lots of friends who are huge fans, though. They would LOVE these cookies.

  128. My husband would love Stars Wars cookies!

  129. I have a 5 years old that will go bananas with Star Wars cookies!! Our house is flooded with light sabers and battleships! May the force be with us!! :)

  130. Han Solo my favorite….the hot bad boy! hee

  131. My sister walked down the aisle to the theme music from star wars !!!!! These are probably about the only memorabilia her and her husband don’t have!!!!

  132. LOVE Star Wars! Just thinking about it makes me want to have a Star Wars movie marathon. The cookies would be the perfect snack!

  133. I grew my hair long so I could wear it in buns like Princess Leia. It never quite worked out like hers, though.

  134. My brother introduced me to Star Wars, so he would LOVE these. I should probably consider giving him these for Father’s Day. They do need to make a second edition, though. Where are C3PO and Obie Wan? However, if they ever made an Ewan McGregor cookie cutter….well, my brother would be missing one from that set….

  135. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!

As I giant Star Wars FANATIC…have these now I must.

I don’t even want to think about how much $$ Geroge Lucas and his merchandising rights have from me.

I have the Star Wars cookbook and Quote book and many of the novels. I have the special edition DVDs of the original trilogy….phooey on the new trilogy.

It’s so nerdy, but Star Wars has impacted my life in so many ways that I honestly would not be the same person if I had never heard had the experience when I was 8 years old in my grandparent’s living room siting on their orange shag carpet watching The Empire Strikes Back for the first time. I looked at my mom and told her I was going to marry Han Solo.

    So um…pick me please :-)

  136. These are awesome..even w/out piping (which I wouldn’t b able to do anyway)!

  137. I love Star Wars and my husband does too. We would love these cookie cutters!

  138. LOVE these! If I don’t win, I may buy them anyway! I love ALL of the Star Wars movies, but I love Harrison Ford! I grew up watching the movies as a kid, and my Dad is a huge Star Wars fan, so I would love to make him some Star Wars cookies for Father’s Day!

  139. So my Star Wars story is this. My dad put the first three movies on a VHS tape and would play it from start to finish…over and over and over and over…you get the idea. So, yeah, I’d love to have a set of these cutters to make him up a fun little surprise and I’d make a set of cookies for my two brothers as well…since if he wasn’t around *they* would rewind the tape and watch it over and over and over…. It’s a wonder I’m sane. ;)
    Have a super day!

  140. SO much fun! R2D2 and C3PO crack me up. R2D2 doesn’t even speak and he’s still the best! Here’s hoping for a 2nd edition of these as well!

  141. I am a huge Star Wars fan. We just watched all 6 the other day. My favorite movie is the Return of the Jedi. Love it, mostly because I love me some Jabba the Hutt.

  142. OMG I need these!!
They’ll be such a great addition if hubby decides to bring cake to work again.. This is what I made last time: http://universalsine.blogspot.com/2010/05/havde-helt-glemt-denne-her.html (Sorry about the text being in Danish)

  143. OMG…those are awesome! My son is 4 and totally LOVES Star Wars right now…he plays the Lego game all the time…he is starting his own collection of figures to go with all the stuff my husband has from his childhood. I want to start making my own decorated sugar cookies and wow this would be perfect!

  144. Oh my…my two boys would just about hit the moon when they saw these..

    Empire Strikes Back for sure!!

  145. my husband love star wars, but nothing like his uncle – he has an entire star wars room full of collectibles.

  146. Love them!!!

  147. YAHOO…I actually had written you a while back asking if you’d done any Star Wars cake pops yet….our friend had his 40th b-day party….we improvised….I totally agree with them needing a Chewie cutter!

My fav. movie is the original…I remember as a kid in 1977 going to the only movie theater on our side of Portland, OR (west side, not too far from your book signing at Powell’s a few weeks back)….my 7 year old brother and myself (8-years old) waited with my folks for quite a while..then we got to see it…AWESOME! It’s my first movie experience and I’ll never forget it!

    ~ Kathy (Beaverton, OR)

  148. I like the original Star Wars Trilogy. I loved the Ewoks and Yoda! My stepdad showed my nephew the new Star Wars movies a few years ago. Last Halloween my nephew dressed as Darth Vader and he’s obessed w/Yoda! It’s really fun b/c he’s 8 and always finding Star Wars stuff. It’s cool to share something from my childhood w/my nephew many years later.

  149. I was Princess Leia for Halloween in the 2nd grade. My waist-length pigtails wrapped around my ears completed the outfit.
Today my kids are actually really in to “Clone Wars”. They would LOVE Yoda cookies, though. I’m with you, a Wookie Cookie would be the best. I would use chocolate sugar cookie dough-mmmmm.

  150. My nephew and his dad would love some Star Wars cookies! He dressed up as Darth Vader for Halloween last year and my one-year-old was Yoda. The cutest Yoda ever he was!

  151. For my eighth birthday my older brother took me to Star Wars. (That was 1977 and I forbid you to do the math). I fell in love with Han Solo and the entire Star Wars franchise. I’ve been a huge fan ever since. I even have a jedi costume, a jedi pseudonym, and a lightsaber!

  152. We’re huge Star Wars fans here (the originals — not the new movies). Our daughter even chose to have a Star Wars party for her 3rd birthday last fall.

  153. I’ve actually only seen the first Star Wars movie (by release). I made a deal with a friend a few years ago that when he got a cell phone I would watch Star Wars. I made it through the movie, but it just isn’t my thing. My husband on the other hand is a huge fan. I’d love to make him some cookies for his first Father’s Day.

  154. My favourite character is Chewbacca, I think I enjoyed the most recent film the most, I’m not very fond of the older ones :s

  155. I would say I knew virtually nothing about Star Wars- despite seeing most of the films (I just don’t ‘get’ fantasy/science fiction), but I learnt most when I had to make a Star Wars themed cake for my nephew’s 5th birthday (based on a cake I’d seen elsewhere). http://www.flickr.com/photos/marie-mcg/4584575249/ Hope you can see it here. He LOVED it, and would go CRAZY over bisuits made from these!!

  156. I love Star Wars!! But I really want these cookie cutters so I can make some Darth Vader ones for my sister. When she was little, she got a perm and her hair ended up shaped like Lord Vader’s helmet, so when we look back at old pictures we always do the “Vader breathing”. Don’t worry – she laughs too!

  157. I have a friend who is a HUGE HUGE Starwars fan. He’s actually gone so far as to name his kids after characters in the movie.

  158. How freakin’ cute are these cookie cutters! I’ve never seen Darth Vader so cute…although, Colette, your daughter sounds adorable…and cute kids trump cookies every time!

Anyway, I love watching the movies with my family, and we often have “movie marathons”…my dad even uses Yoda’s voice for his GPS. (Have to admit…”Turn right you must” does get old…)

    Em :)

  159. The original Star Wars (1977,78??) was the first movie my whole family went to together I was 8 or 9. Loved it!
Princess Leia needs a cookie cutter, too.

  160. Wow, well if I don’t win the cookie cutters I will HAVE TO buy them just to keep my Star Wars cred with my friends. We do enjoy our Star Wars paraphernalia at the Edwards house. from our tie fighter legos to our sculpture of Boba Fett being eaten by the sarlacc. We are working on having a baby so everything these days is evaluated on its use with said future child; how cold would it be to be raised with Star Wars cookies?!?!?

  161. My husband has a Lego Chewie on his key chain. :)

The Empire Strikes Back is the first movie I can remember seeing in the theatre, and it’s always been my favorite.

  162. OMG!!! I love these and they would make a great addition to my collection and would have a blast decorating them. —do or do not. There is no try!

  163. R2D2 – in fact, I was playing with the tiny LEGO version as I was reading your post!! He was hiding under the computer table, and I had just found him – could that be fate? : )

  164. Star Wars is a big deal in house. Starting with my husband. My oldest son started his love of it at the ripe old age of 2. We have all the toys, movies, games, PEZ dispensers, halloween costumes…even the voice command R2D2. I am torn between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi as my favs.

  165. I personally like Yoda, and have even carved a Yoda pumpkin. These would be for my brother-in-law for his first fathers day (My sister is due tomorrow). He is the biggest Star wars fanatic I know, and would love these.

  166. I loved the old Star Wars. I didn’t like the new ones at all. In fact, I still haven’t watched Episode III. That kid was a pouty brat!

  167. I must have watched Star Wars everyday when i was about 6, I think i drove my family crazy! I would always cover my eyes with my hands and peak through my fingers as Princess Leia and Hans Solo kissed…and then rewind it over and over! haha. I loved the Ewoks the most. I still have a stuffed Ewok. Anyways i would love a chance to win these cookie cutters, then i could have a Star Wars Party! :)

  168. My family and I have always teased my mom by calling her chewbacca. Dont know why? lol

  169. Just again is it unfair to live in a country that do NOT have thees stores…..

My son is the biggest fan of star wars. He turns 8 in august. And would die for thees cookies.

    Heidi

  170. We just saw the Star Wars Symphony this week. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

  171. My good friend is a Star Wars junkie and her birthday is coming up. I’d love to make her some cookies for her celebration!

  172. oh how fun are those!!! when my son was little, i also bought him star wars christmas tree ornaments. i think he’s had alll the coool star wars stuff. well, all but these fun cookie cutters!

  173. How cute are these?? I was principal flute in my college’s wind ensemble, and during my senior year, we played a Stars Wars medley and went on tour up and down the east coast (mainly to area high schools). The best part was seeing all the high school kids’ faces when the recognized the piece. Of course, playing the flute solos was pretty cool too! =)

  174. My son LOVES Star Wars- he has a million toys, 6 light sabers, etc… I was actually looking at those cutters online the other day and he went nuts over those too. His birthday is coming up next month, these would be perfect for my non cake eating kid (gasp! is he really mine?!?!)

  175. When I was growing up it was Luke, as I got older I realised what a whinger he was and preferred Han Solo. Now I would have to say Leia as a cool chick who could carry off some crazy outfits and take the fight to the boys!

Favourite movie would be the original, Star Wars.

  176. My son was playing Lego Star Wars and I was listening to him explain to his Grandfather how to get past a level. He said that the naked lady has to do it. Apparently, Lego Princess Leigha in her bikini looked naked to him.

  177. I LOVE these! Star Wars (the re-release) was the first date my husband & I went on. I feel like it was just yesterday. Thanks for the opportunity.

  178. I like Star Wars, but my husband LOVES it! He forces me to watch it all the time, lol. I would love to have a set of these. I know he would love star wars cookies.

  179. It’s hard for me to choose between the original trilogy as to which is my favorite movie. Han Solo is my favorite character, and my first Hollywood/Movie Crush (even though I didn’t see the movies until the late 90’s) And while I don’t have any action figures, I do have books! lots and lots of Star Wars books. My husband makes fun of my geekiness.

  180. Love the cookie cutters. My son has a starwars print in his room and I remember having playing with starwars figures at my babysitters.

  181. 2 things:

    – C3PO is hot.
    – my husband would pass out from happiness if I won these.

  182. I love Star Wars and recall many a hour spent playing with the figurines with my brother. He has since passed his love of Star Wars onto his son and I would love to have these to bake for my nephew and sit down for a Star Wars marathon with him!

  183. I was in Williams-Sonomo last weekend and came thisclose to buying these for my fiance! I love that they have pancake molds, too!! My fiance loves Star Wars – he has a life-size R2-D2 that used to hold all of his Star Wars toys; and a big puzzle-poster that is hanging in his “man room” in our house. And, yes, I admit it, I’m a fan, too!!

  184. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this post! I LOVE Star Wars. Brings back such wonderful memories of going to the movies with my parents as a litle girl. And who could forget the braided buns when I dressed up as Princess Lea 2 halloweens in a row! What a great giveaway!

  185. Oh, man, I grew up on Star Wars! Favorite character is Yoda and I do a pretty terrible impression of him. :) Fingers crossed that I win!

  186. my husband is a boba fett fan! those cookies would be much appreciated around here :) thanks for the chance to win!

  187. We are all Star-Wars all the time around here – and I especially love it when my daughter’s Polly Pockets get to take a spin in the Millenium Falcon, b/c who doesn’t love Han Solo??

  188. i’m living in germany, so i probably won’t find any shops selling those cookie cutters… my favourite character is chewbacca – we share the same haircolour, ha! well, i’m longing for a chewbacca cutter, too. (would be a wookiee cutter, i guess… ;))

  189. I was able to see all of the Star Wars movies the night before they came out….my husband was so jealous when he found that out! :)

  190. THANK you for featuring these. We love SW in this house! I think I’ll try to squeeze in a trip TODAY to go get these. We have a SW birthday for my son complete with darth vador (husband) showing up to fight the kids. My son will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!

  191. My husband is a HUGE Star Wars fan, and so I’ve had to learn to love it too. The thing that stands out most in my mind is when we finally found out how Anakin became the Darth Vader that we know from the final three movies. My husband looked as excited as a kid on Christmas and said to me, “I’ve been waiting my entire life to see exactly how that happened.” And he was teliing the honest truth. These cookie cutters would be a great surprise for him!

  192. I actually know two different people who have never seen Star Wars, if you can believe that.

I can never resist WS, either.

  193. MAy the force be with you!!! I need that force!

  194. I love star wars!!!! I have all the movies. I think my favorite character would have to be Yoda.
these cookie cutters are so awesome!!!

  195. I was 26 the first time I saw Star Wars.

    My son was two.

And we’ve watched the movies a GAZILLION times since then!

  196. Star Wars was the first movie I saw 5 times in the theater. I wanted to marry Luke Skywalker, but now I see Calista Flockhart has the right idea.

  197. I have friends who would ADORE these!! I always fall asleep in the middle of star wars :( But at least I’ve tried!

  198. my 3 year old son would love these. i’ve barely ever watched any of Star Wars, but he watches them with his dad, often, especially the original series. he schooled me just last week on who was who and if they were good or bad and who they fought. the nerdiest 3 year old i know.

  199. I love Star Wars! When my brother and I were little, we played the theme song on our record player and ran around pretending to be Luke and Leia. Good times.
