They Got Me

The other day I was doing a little impromptu shopping. I had already spent more than I wanted and I was about to pass the Williams-Sonoma store. I said to myself. “Walk faster. Faster. Don’t look in. You don’t need anything else. Whatever you do…

…don’t stop…

Don’t look in the …”

photo

Dang. They got me.

I really tried not to go in, but how could I be complete without these Star Wars Cookie Cutters. I knew if I left empty handed, I’d wish I had bought them in the off chance someone I know wants Boba Fett cookies one day. So I went in, telling myself the whole time I would just have a peek. I can resist.

IMG_0100

I can resist so well that I only bought two. One for me and one for you. Okay, one for one of you.

IMG_0033

Now, I like to bake to go along with a giveaway if I can, but I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to make and pipe these this weekend and I just couldn’t wait to show you these cutters. Plus, my piping skills might deter you from wanting to try them. Piping royal icing is a skill I need to work on, but the way to go if you’re up for it. They’d still be super cute just like this photo from the back of the box, though.

IMG_0079

The cutters have plungers that make impressions in the sugar cookie dough as you cut shapes.

IMG_0066

You can whip up some Storm Troopers…

IMG_0072

A Dark Lord perhaps.

IMG_0075

Maybe some Boba Fett’s just so you can say the name over and over.

IMG_0073

And you have to make Yoda, of course. Make him you should. And eat him you shall.

But… but wait… where’s Chewbacca and R2-D2? What’s up with that? I want to nibble on a little Wookiee. And maybe a little Harrison Ford.

They need a second edition. Fingers crossed.

IMG_0052

The set comes packaged in a cute box with a recipe for cookies and icing.

Besides the kiddies going gaga for these, I think it would make a great gift for Daddy’s Day. Well, it might make some Daddy’s Day, not all.

Find them at Williams-Sonoma or…

  1. Love the Star Wars music !! It makes me feel so powerful ! Love baking, it makes me feel so happy !! Thanks Bakerella !

  2. My husband and I love Star Wars and so do our six little angels.
Would love these to make my family the most delightful cookies xxxx

  3. Oh my! This is my 7 year old’s favorite movie. I would really like to have a set of these to make cookies for his birthday next month! :o)

  4. The first time I watched these movies was with my husband. I cannot pick just on of them for my favorite. THEY ALL ARE!!!!

  5. My 7 year old LOVES everything Star Wars!

  6. My husband LOVES Star Wars….of course, he grew up with them. But now, at the ripe age of 37, he watches Clone Wars cartoon with his 6 and 4 year old sons (me and our 9 year old daughter find other things to do). Yes, it’s an obsession. To win those cookie cutters might just make his millenium!!

  7. My favorite character is Princess Leia. When I was a little girl I wanted to be her, so I would get my mom to put my hair into those buns on the side of my head. Good thing I was 5, so it looked cute!

  8. My husband and I and all our five boys love Star Wars! Funny timing, in fact: we started watching the first movie just last night (instigated by son #3’s request, “Mom, I really want to watch Star Wars tonight!” Well…ok!) I must say, however, that the last three movies are way better than the first three. Must have something to do with the presence of a certain Han Solo.

  9. This was the first movie I saw on the big screen. Never will forget that feeling!

  10. My and my younger brother used to watch the Ewoks cartoon when we were kids. The Ewoks was a spin-off cartoon of Star Wars.

My brother would go nuts if I made Star Wars cookies.

  11. OH MY, I NEED THESE COOKIE CUTTERS.

I took a life sized cardboard cut out of Han Solo to a bar. I also took him to another bar dressed in a toga as we were having a toga night. I also used him to pick up my friend from SeaTac airport, complete with cardboard sign.

I don’t know what I would do with these cutters, but it would be something epic!

  12. My husband loves the Star Wars movies. It would be fun to make these for him!

  13. So fun!

I am a big fan of Chewbacca! I hope they make a set with him. I can just see myself coming up some something cheesy like Chewy Chewie Chocolate Chip Cookies. On second hand, let’s hope they don’t come out with a second set…

  14. Oh my! My sister and I didn’t ever SEE Star Wars until it was rereleased in theaters (despite our being born when the original movies were still coming out). I enjoyed them very much, but she became OBSESSED. She had every Star Wars gadget known to man, including an R2-D2 phone (and all three movies on VHS). If I were to win these, I would try very very hard to keep them secret from her until her birthday (in July, and trust me, it would be a tough secret to keep!), and then make her a set of the cookies. Actually, I’m sure she’d like to nibble on R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewy, and Harrison- er, I mean, Han Solo, too… ;-)

  15. My sister and I were saying just the other day that there is no situation a Star Wars quote can’t handle, and they inevitably make you feel better. Imagine how much better a Star Wars cookie would make you feel! There are brilliant!!!

  16. My son is OBSESSED with Star Wars. We did his birthday cake last year of the death star and little Tie Fighters cupcakes! The boy knows all of the movies and is a little star wars encyclopedia!

  17. I’ve always thought R2-D2 was too cute! He’s just adorable, and a cookie cutter in the shape of him ? Ohh lordie!

  18. I grew up loving Hans Solo and his lovable friend, Chewbacca. Long live Star Wars. My son is now 12 and its all new to him. I love to the excitement again through his eyes.

  19. lol Star War brings out the inner geek in me.

  20. I like the ewoks best, but they don’t have them :) oh well these are good for my hubby anyway!

  21. My favorite quote from Star Wars….

    “Laugh it up Fuzzball!”

  22. Love Star Wars! I have a photo project featuring a 3 3/4 inch Chewbacca from 1977 – I keep him in my camera bag, which goes everywhere with me. So many adventures together, and all inspired by one of the best movie series. Empire Strikes Back is by far my favorite! I’ve got so many friends and family who love star wars and my baking creations – these cutters would be awesome!

  23. My senior year math teacher loved Star Wars, but hated ewoks. When we watched the movies at the end of the year to celebrate being done the AP Test, he actually got up and fast-forwarded through all of the scenes on Endor and yelled at us for complaining! None of us found this strange!

  24. i remember taking my brother star wars characters and buring them in back yard. Also dressing up several years in a row as princess leila and my brother as luke

  25. My favorite movie is The Empire Strikes Back! Love it!

  26. I grew up with 5 brothers and Star Wars was just a part of my life. I used to pretend I was Princess Leia. I actually really wish I was :) Love these cookie cutters!

  27. Boba Fett and Jango Fett, because I love science and they are clones and the implications are fabulous for the movie!
AND… the thought of making a ton of clone cookies… is awesome!

  28. Wowee… I would be the coolest of cool if I had a plate of Star Wars cookies to serve at our next party! (Fingers crossed)

  29. My husband is a baker, and the two of us are big time Star Wars geeks! We just finished a marathon of all 6 movies, which was quite a weekend. I would LOVE for him to make me Star Wars cookies!

  30. Wow, over 2500 comments!! Well, I would just LOVE a set of these, so I could nom on Yoda, heehee.

  31. My two boys would love these! I see a Star Wars B-day themed party in our future….

  32. My best friend is in love with Stars Wars. She went to a Star Wars themed classical music symphony… IN COSTUME! She would love these :) Thanks for an awesome giveaway.

  33. My husband will drop everything to sit down and watch Star Wars..even if its just the cartoon! My girls and I would love to make him some Daddy Day cookies!

  34. I like empire strikes back and i think my favorite character is Yoda.

  35. sammei [at] gmail [dot] com

Always been a fan of the original trilogy, though I do love quoting the terrible lines from the new ones (“You’re not like sand!”). The significant other still has his loads and loads of action figures from back in the day, too! I would love to have these cookie cutters! Delicious AND nerdy, my favorite!

  36. My favorite Star Wars memory…the year Return of the Jedi came out, I entered and won an essay contest to get VIP tickets to the first showing in Denver. I won matching RotJ t-shirts for my dad and me and we got these giant golden tickets for admission.

I was super proud of myself for winning the contest and I wish today that I had a copy of that essay…I don’t remember what it was about and would LOVE to know what I wrote that won such an awesome first prize!

  37. The Star Wars fanatic in our house is my husband. The day after we brought our daughter home from the hospital he was already telling her the star wars story and singing the theme song for her. He has so much Star Wars stuff that the majority of it is boxed up cuz we don’t have room for it.

  38. Who doesnt love Hans Solo??

  39. OMG! I can’t believe they made cookie cutters! I hope they do have a second edition, and third and fourth! I have been a Star Wars fan since I was born! My parents are huge fans and so we always watched it and it of course grew on me and I just loved it!

  40. Love Luke and Leah and the first time I ever saw star wars I watched everysingle one back to back!!

  41. We love Star Wars!!! We have so many action figures and Lego sets that I cannot count them all. My son would be soooo excited if we won these. His birthday is in August and this would be great. Thanks for the chance to win and thanks for going into the store!!

  42. My son loves Star Wars. This morning before reading this post, I bought him the Legos Star Wars game for his DS.

  43. I have a nephew who LOVES Star Wars. It would be an extra treat to have Star Wars shaped cookies in addition to his cake this year for his birthday! Thanks for the opportunity!

  44. When I was small, I used to have such puffy hair my brothers used to tease me and call me Wookiee !

  45. My 5 year old son LOVES Star Wars! He has all of the movies, probably about 7 books, 6 Star Wars Lego sets, and I don’t know how many figurines. He would melt if he saw these :-)

  46. Starwars is awesome!!! they should have had a chewbacca cutter!!!

  47. the yoda is too cute! i want them :-)

  48. They need a princess laya with the gold ear muff things. That would be awesome!!!!!!

  49. Oh I would SO send these to my best friend Kat. We have been buddies since high school and I hate that she lives in Florida (I’m in Indiana) and makes it hard to hang out with her these days! She is a total Star Wars buff (would kill at any trivia game) and I bet she’d love these! Thanks for entering me!

  50. These are awesome. My older (by ten years) brother had all the original figurines when we were growing up, and we watched the original movies on VHS together when he was alive. Ahh. Memories. I should go out and by these!

  51. one can only hope that the random number chosen is in the 2 thousands :) i am entering these in the hopes of gifting them to a dear friend.

  52. I was 10 when the first Star Wars movie came out. Halloween that year, I made myself a Princess Leia costume. I’m still debating what order my kids should see the movies when they’re old enough — in the order they came out or chronologically.

  53. I want these! I like starwars, my husband doesn’t, but since I bake, that’s all that matters right?

  54. I grew up with Star Wars, but somehow, my husband has never seen any of the movies. It’s total madness. So maybe I should make him some cookies and he’ll want to watch the movies.

  55. In high school a friend of mine called me “Chewy”. No, I was not big and hairy.

  56. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Willams Sonoma. And one of my DS loves Star Wars. What a great summer day project!

  57. My grandchildren will go crazy over these!

They always keep me up to date on anything Star Wars!

  58. My husband loves Star Wars! He has tons of action figures, ships and vehicles. We’re going to Star Wars Celebration in Orlando in August and he’s very excited. :)

  59. Wow, I love these! They would be a perfect gift for my mom, who loves these movies and collects anything she can: toys, books, school supplies, and attends conventions. She even encouraged me to go as Princess Leia one year for Halloween! What a great contest!

  60. OMG! Those are the cutest things ever! My absolute favorite character were the Ewoks! I hope they come out with one of those cutters!

  61. My 5 year old just had a Lego Star Wars birthday. I wish I had known about these earlier this month. Oh well, saved me some time, I suppose.
My boys love playing Lego Star Wars on the PS3. And around here, we have Lego Star Wars characters, vehicles, and pieces coming out of our ears!

  62. My son loves star wars. We have all of the movies. We have a set of micro machines of the ships and I am sure there is more. I usually refrain from playing with the micro machines ect. I leave that to my 20 year old son!

  63. My dad introduced me to Star Wars when I was a little girl… I immediately fell in love with the princess and good vs. evil drama of it all. Years later, my dad and I will have conversations using nothing but Star Wars quotes… it’s something we both share and I am a proud Star Wars nerd because of him :)

  64. I enjoy Star Wars, but not as much as my husband. I think it reminds him of his childhood. I would love, love to win this set and surprise him. His favorite characters are still the ewoks though. lol.

  65. My hubby to be LOVES Star Wars, I would love to make these for him! I didn’t so much watch it when I was younger however I loved to wear my hair like princess Leia (sp?)! Hope I win!!!

  66. I have really enjoyed seeing my children discovering Star Wars so many years after I did!

  67. Oh my boys will love these! They have everything Star Wars possible. My youngest son even has his room all in star wars.
We have done 4 Star Wars birthday parties for them.
I love baking cookies almost as much as cakes. i know these cookie cutters are great, I’ve bought some before from William Sonoma.

  68. Thanks for the chance to win! The Empire Strikes back is my fav!

  69. My husband reads the books, watches the movies, plays the video games, reads the comics and has several figurines. He has gotten our son into Star Wars as well. In fact, we are going to be Star Wars characters for Halloween. He has decided to be Anakin Skywalker and his little sister is going to be Yoda. He hasn’t decided who we are going to be, yet. Our son also has a red, blue, and purple lightsaber. He has told us we need to get a green one so that everyone can play Star Wars in the family.
My husband thinks the cookie cutters are so cool and hopes we win. If we don’t I am going to have to order some for him:)

  70. I actually haven’t watch a whole movie of star wars.. I know, I know.. shame on me! hehe well, I’ve seen a part of it… although, I should probably see the whole thing heheehehe…
But those cookie cutter are so adorable >.<

  71. Those cookie cutters are so cute!
I have all six movies. Chewbaca or Han Solo is probably one of my favorite characters. Oh and I can’t forget about the Ewoks! They are soooo adorable!!

  72. My 3-year old granddaughter and I would have to make these for her Star Wars loving Dad.

  73. The first time I saw Star Wars, I was terrifed by the Ewoks. Not Darth Vader, the Ewoks. They are like teddy bears that are trying to kill you.

  74. I love it when Darth Vader reveals himself to be Luke’s father. And I once wore my hair to school just like Leah.

  75. My boyfriend loves Star Wars! And I love getting him Star Wars themed anything. Last year I got him the ultra amazing Star Wars: A Pop Up Guide to the Galaxy for Valentine’s Day and he loved it! I definitely recommend it to any Star Wars fan out there with kids or an appreciation for finely crafted pop up books. These cookie cutters would be a great surprise!

  76. I LOVE Star Wars! I grew up watching one every Sunday, thanks to my brother. My favorite would have to be Episode VI, Return of the Jedi.

  77. Oh my!!! I am in need of these for my sons as their father’s day presents…. I still have all the toys up in the attic. They should really come by and go through them one day. I don’t know how many times they were Boba Fett for Halloween.

  78. i love star wars!! (probably helped that i had 3 big brothers that loved it too Ü)
since i watched 4, 5, and 6 growing up, princess leia was definitely my favorite, in 1, 2, and 3 there’s probably a tie between anakin and obi one. Ü
    thanks for the oppurtunity!

  79. My earliest memories are watching Star Wars with my parents! Now I teach Pre-K and my kids and I wear our Star Wars t-shirts all the time. They can take anything in our classroom and make a lightsaber out of it…only they call it a “lifesaver”, haha! I love that Star Wars is loved by all generations.

  80. One of my earliest memories is fighting with my best friend over which of us got to be Leia and who had to be chewbacca. All the other action figures were so obviously boys….

  81. I actually dislike star wars with a passion, but the rest of my family loves it … My mom used to hand make customes….

  82. I would be an A+ auntie if I made these for my nephew…No lightsaber molds?? sad day!

  83. Oh my goodness – these are amazing! My son LOVES Star Wars, I would have to say our favorite is Chewbacca! Love that big hairy guy!
    Crosing our fingers to win!

  84. Oh my gosh, my friend’s son would be so excited for Star Wars cookies. These are awesome. I never got into Star Wars but my older brother had Star Wars wallpaper in his room in the early 80s and it scared the bejesus out of me.

  85. I had NEVER seen a SW movie until 1998. It was a deal dh and I made in return for a BIG favor that I would sit down and finally watch the first 3 movies before Episode 1 came out. He would flip if I won these and made a batch or two up for him and his wookies, I mean, friends! LOL

  86. Awesome cookie cutters! I’m a sucker for the Star Wars movies, but I especially love the original 3!

  87. My freshman year in college, my friends and I would pass long, lazy, hungover weekend days watching the entire trilogy from start to finish. Those were the days!

  88. I LOVE Star Wars! I still have my brothers Han Solo action figure from the 80’s and I have good memories of going to see ALL 3 of the first Trilogy, books 4-5-6, at the Kennedy Center at the young age of 9 :)
Plus, I do enjoy baking and these would make a wonderful 1st birthday theme for my little guy :)

  89. Those cookie cutters are adorable! The original Star Wars movies are some of my favorites. I have two dogs named Yoda and Obi Wan, and plan on someday adopting a Han Solo as well.

  90. OMGosh! LOVE these! My son is gaga for Star Wars right now!! Wer just redid his room in a star wars there, and scored big time at a garage sale last weekend –vitage figures (ha!–1984!!) $25 for a boxful of them! He is now up to 85 figures !! Crazy!!

  91. LOVE THIS! Both hubby and I are big Star Wars fans but he is a huge fan. We both read all the extended universe books, he can quote just about any line from any movie and he has 3 Star Wars tattoos including a very large one on his back. Now my 3 year old daughter is getting in on the Sat Wars love in the house. Oh yeah, one of our chickens is also named Boba Fett.

  92. My family will go crazy over these! I have two sons, who both love anything Star Wars. My husbands Christmas present this year was a Star Wars Vault Collectors book. We love all the movies, but especially the first three. My kids love the new Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon, but I am a purist so I am not as big a fan as of the movies. All time favorite is Harrison Ford as Han Solo. He is so The Man!

  93. I used to watch the originals with my dad because I was the only one who would sit through them with him! :D

  94. I recently went to the Star Wars Concert – by myself – and it was awesome!

  95. I fell in LOVE with Han Solo and still kinda wish i could marry someone like him….

  96. OMG, thank you, thank you!!! I’m so happy that you took a chance and gave into looking in the W.S. store. I could have easily came across these myself, but I have to use the same strategy-if you sneek a peek, it’s too late! ; )
My son is graduating from high school this yr., and he is a HUGE Star Wars fan. The thought of doing the predictable grad. hat and “2010” related cookies etc. just did not appeal to me…just doesn’t seem as personal as I would like. THESE cutters will be the perfect solution-personal, fun, and totally unique. Super cool-thank you!

  97. I’m not much of a Star Wars fan myself, but my husband is and would go NUTS over these! He was so excited when our son was born so he could live out his Star Wars toy purchases through him! :)

  98. My boyfriend loves star wars!! And when he saw the cookie cutters said that he already now that to give in my birthday! Poor me!

  99. I have tried to watch these movie several times as a marathon but just can’t! Maybe the cookies will help me stay awake!

  100. My husband is quite the Star Wars fan. He would love these cookies, and if you pick me, I’ll post pics of them decorated up to the wazoo. (I’m pretty good with a piping bag. ;) ) Thanks for the great contest! Fingers & toes crossed! We don’t have this store in Canada!! Pick me!!! Please!!

  101. Thx for sharing, and I can’t wait to see the iced finished product!

  102. I always loved the Ewoks when I was little – who wouldn’t want a giant teddy bear to play with?

  103. oh my, I love star wars!!!!

  104. My fav would have to be Hans Solo! Yum!
My Hubby’s would be Darth Vader! We have the whole good verses Evil thing going on!!
Stars Wars are is his all time favourite movies, these would make a great 40th birthday present! Fingers crossed I get them for him!
    Thanks of the chance :-)

  105. My oldest son (seven years old) saw this post this morning and has yet to stop talking about it. Looks like I know what I’ll be buying for his birthday! He has (probably literally) hundreds of star wars toys. I think he first started watching the movies when he was two (we’re terrible, I know). In fact, as I type, he’s reading a series of books about Boba Fett.

  106. Those are super cute!! I have not seen all of the Star Wars episodes. I have, however, seen them in the order of the story instead of the order they were released.

  107. Return of the Jedi. When I was little I used to play Star Wars all the time and was always Leia. My next favorite would be Han Solo.

  108. My two little boys have just discovered the joys of Star Wars. I’m trying to ease them in gently and certainly there’s no gentler easing than paving the way with cookies!! :-)

  109. My husband and 3 year old daughter are obsessed with Star Wars. I like the newer star wars movies, but the die hard fans in my house love the old movies. I like Queen Amedala, my husband likes Boba Fett and Caty LOVES Admiral Ackbar… so random.

  110. My favorite characters are Han Solo and Chewie. My husband and I have the Lego’s Star Wars video game… and we don’t even have kids yet. I would LOVE to make these for my nephews!

  111. these are awesome!!
i hope they come out with ewok cookie cutters as well.

    thanks for the giveaway!

  112. My husband comes from a family that is hooked to Star Wars. The first midnight movie I ever went to was Star Wars the original when they digitally remastered it and showed it in theaters. What a fun memory.

Why are three of the four cookies bad guys? Definitely need a second edition.

  113. My Husband actually got me into star wars. We bonded over the movies and collecting the action figures. Our favorite ones are the M&M star wars action figures we found. He has Boba Fett and I have the storm troopers. They are just so cute! Okay I guess they are my favorite and not his! =) I know He’d love it if I won the cookie cutters since I have the Boba cake pan from his childhood.

  114. When I was having a baby, the name Lucas was a contender. But only because my partner didn’t consider Wicket to be a decent human name. Fool.

Luckily I had a girl, and Leia had already hit the scrap heap before she was born. I have dressed her as Chewie and Yoda on the past 2 Halloweens though…

  115. My first date with my husband in 1999 was at the movie watching the The Phantom Menace! Loved the movie. He owned a Darth Vader head thingy full of stasr wars action figures. One day he gave it away to a less fortunate kid.. Once he saw the real value in tha market he wanted to kick himself!

  116. I love Chewie! Great cookies.

  117. My boyfriend is wearing a Star Wars shirt right now. He nearly broke up with me when he found out my sister had never seen a Star Wars movie. And he loves cookies and I love baking!

  118. My husband loves everything Star Wars – books, movies, action figures, Legos, etc….

  119. My son is only 6, but is totally obsessed with Star Wars. He has some lego ones as well as action figures. His birthday party would be so fun with these cookies!! Thanks in advance!

  120. Star Wars was still my favorite. Loved the light sabre battles.!

  121. My sons have over 75 Star Wars figures and countless LEGO Star Wars sets. These cookie cutters would not go to waste here.

  122. These cookie cutters would have been perfect for my son’s 9th birthday party – instead I attempted a R2-D2 cupcake cake that was pretty disastrous. It tasted good but it was so sad looking, I really should have known better – I’m not terribly talented in the area of baking. That is why I love, love, love your site so much. I can live vicariously through your amazingly beautiful, and I’m sure delicious baking efforts.

  123. Empire strikes back was the best out of the star wars films in my opinion. I’m not the hugest fan, but my boyfriend sure loves it! If i made these cookies for him, it would most likely be the only baking that would truly take his breath away!

  124. I’m pretty sure most of us are commenting for our husbands/boyfriends! My boyfriend loves star wars and even bought himself a ‘JEDI training’ hat on his recent trip to Disney world. He would LOVE these cookies!!

  125. These are too cute! I would definitely make a million Darth Vader cookies. <3

  126. Love Star Wars! One of my most favorite memories with my dad. We went and saw all of the movies in the theater…. I’m too young to have seen the “first” ones in the theater when they were released, but we caught them at a marathon at our local theater. too fun.

  127. My son is 4 yrs old – what a great (and tasty) way to introduce him to the characters! My earliest memory is of having a Princess Leia notebook in second grade!

  128. Oh my gooooooodnessss!!!!!!! Those are WAY too stinkin’ cute!!! Have them I must for my son’s Star Wars birthday party. Resist the force I cannot!! ;-)

  129. I want my husband to make cookies for once. I think this set would motivate him.

  130. I enjoy all the Star Wars movies old and new! A classic for our generation. My son would flip out for some Star Wars cookies.

  131. I have yet to see Star Wars (I know, terrible) but still look forward to my first marathon- and the perfect thing to accompany a marathon? Cookies made with these! YUM and adorable!

  132. Love those! I just had my birthday and my kids got me the Star Wars pancake shapes. Cookie cutters would match perfectly! And I agree about the second edition…I’d like to take a bite outta Han Solo. Mmmm.

  133. my daughter loves star wars. whenever she is sick she lays down on the couch and watches ever movie we have. my husband does the same thing!

  134. Cookie dough, or dough not. There is no try.

  135. I used to love the 3rd one best, because of the ewoks. So cute, right? Lately though, I have really questioned that choice because people say the 2nd is the best. I have to rewatch to figure this out, but instead I have chosen to lose a tiny bit of respect for myself for loving the ewoks so much. Oh well.

  136. Winning these would be great. it would save me from having to scurry past the WS store lest I get swept away too.
    :)

  137. The Ewok scenes in Star Wars Return of the Jedi was filmed in one of my favorite places – Muir Woods!

  138. Seriously…like I need one more Star Wars thing in my house! :) May the force be with you.

  139. Hmmm… Picking a favorite for anything Star Wars-related is pretty difficult. But if I had to pick my favorite movie, I’d go with Return of the Jedi.

  140. Oh my! My husband and son would love love love those! Well so would I. Thanks for the info

  141. I’ve watched the trilogy too many time to count! And I had 3 or 4 ewoks stuffed animals! And what little girl did not want to be Princess Leia!

  142. I SO envied the Princess Leia buns as a kid. My daughter is actually terrified of Star Wars, but my godson would absolutely go nuts for Star Wars cookies!

  143. These are so cute and clever. My hubby has been forcing me to rewtach this series with him this week, and I am totally inspired by these cookie cutters. Buy them I shall.

  144. My 4 year old Grandaughter LOVES Star Wars! She watches it with her Dad who has some of the original toys. She also LOVES making cookies – these would be GREAT for a Father’s Day gift for her Dad! (or an anytime surprise!!!) Hope I win!!!!!!

  145. My little boy is only 4 but I have a feeling these would go over big in our house!

  146. For my son’s 2nd birthday we’re doing a Star Wars party. He’s loved it since he was an infant. Being able to make little Star Wars cookies would make him sooooo happy!

  147. LOVE these! Our 5 year old daughter loves playing with my husband’s ‘vintage’ Star Wars toys. They’d love these. :)

  148. OMG!…so cute I would love to make these cookies for my Dad and husband. I grew up watching these movies with my Dad because my Mom refused to. Brings back memories. ..I like Yoda! Thanks for the giveaway!

    -Kristen

  149. I want these because my boys would be ecstatic. My 4 year old likes Yoda the best. He even impersonated him playing charades last night. He pronounces it “Yu-oda” though. We’re working on it. May the force be with you.

  150. Oh my.*LOL*
Forget Father’s Day…these would be awesome for me!

I had pretty much all the action figures when Star Wars was released way back when *eeps*…but Han Solo and Leia were my favourites. Saw all the movies in the theatre (minus the newer-older releases except for the very last one).

These cookie cutters are genius and yes, I do hope they have other characters. Brilliant

  151. Haha, uh…my husband just turned 26 this May. He loves Star Wars and he loves Legos. Last year he bought himself a huge General Grievous Lego figure, which is displayed on his desk at work with a couple other Lego Star Wars figures, and for Valentine’s Day I bought him light saber chopsticks. So I thought I’d buy him another Lego Star Wars kit. I shopped around and checked out the reviews to make sure I’d be getting him something cool. All the reviews began with, “I bough this for my 8 year old son…” or “My two 6 year old nephews loved it!” You can still love Lego Star Wars even if you’re in the double digits in age, right? ;)

  152. I never win anything, but hey, why not!

My younger, 18 year old, brother had 6 lightsabers. 2 of which are the forceFX ones. He also films lightsaber duels for youtube!

  153. I happened upon these little guys when I snuck onto W-S website a couple of weeks ago and was soooo tempted to buy them!!! I love Empire Strikes Back, and I LOVE Han Solo, he’s dreamy!!!

  154. I once made a storm trooper cake for my nephew’s birthday. Wilton had a cake pan. This was when Star Wars first came out, he was 8 at the time. He was totally crazy for everything Star wars, he had all the action figures and all the vehichles. We use to have alot of fun playing with all his stuff.

  155. Love Yoda, I do. Thankful am I that none of the crappy characters from the new ones are included.

    LOVE!!

  156. My 13 year old brother knows absolutely everything about Star Wars. It’s disturbing, actually. These would be fabulous for a birthday party for him.

  157. I’m just amazed that you have over 2400 comments on this one entry. Star Wars…my son was born 10 years after this movie was released and I love the timelessness of it. When he discovered it, it was as if it was a brand new film, and of course, by then, I don’t even know HOW many were out! Right above my t.v., right now, sits the trilogy of the first 3 films, always at the ready for him to watch. Even at 22, he is like any other kid, wanting to immerse themselves in a magical world at a moment’s notice.

  158. Ooh, I love Star Wars. My favorite character is Leah — she is really confident! And she has the best outfits.

  159. I watched Star Wars in a Theology and Film class at university :)

  160. ohh, love those cookie cutters! I am a Yoda fan. I just love the little green, wise guy. The force is with him.

  161. Favorite character would definitely have to be R2D2! :)

  162. I don’t know who loves Star Wars more – my husband or my oldest son. And now the baby boy is already using a light saber.

  163. I’ve never actually seen star wars, but both my brother and my boyfriend love the movies and both of their birthdays are coming up! :)

  164. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these! And I have the perfect people to bake them for! Yes I said people, as in plural. I have a ginormus family and at least half are die hard star wars fans ….and the rest…well they are just cookie fans! LOL!

  165. I love the princess leia hair-do!

  166. So cute. My husband is such a fan of all 6 movies, I got him Clone Wars for Christmas. Best Christmas gift ever. Gotta love R2.

  167. These cookie cutters rock! My boys have Lego Star Wars everything. I don’t have a favorite movie but do enjoy them all. My boys (and husband) would love these. Thanks for the giveaway.

  168. I remember watching and loving the original 3 movies with my brother and playing with his star wars legos when I was a kid, so I was pretty excited when the first of the prequels came out. I went with my family to see Phantom Menace and about 15 minutes into it – I threw up in the theater so we had to leave; it was a blessing in disguise, really, because the star wars prequels are terrrrible.

  169. Great! Now I have to buy (or win) these and host a Star Wars Movie Marathon. Thanks so much Bakerella!

  170. Ooohh have these I must! My son and youngest daughters are Star War FREAKS…The youngest plays her Lego Star Wars on her DS and wanders around muttering “Roger, roger”… What fun!

  171. My husband loves star wars. He has a triva games and can answer almost all the questions!

  172. i was in kindergarten when star wars was in its infancy. my mom would always give me two pigtails and then wrap my braids around them… any idea what the kids called me??

  173. These cookie cutters are so amazing! My favorite character is definitely Yoda. Whenever I see Yoda, I immediately think of the Weird Al song.

  174. chewbacca definitely. He seems to get the great lines.

  175. Those are awesome! My boyfriend, myself, and my two sons are all Star Wars geeks! We even have the Star Wars edition of Trivial Pursuit!

  176. Is there any woman on the face of this great earth who didn’t walk away from the Star Wars movie madly in love with Harrison Ford? Man-oh-man!
As far as my favorite character piece that we have at home? When my son was born, my sister bought him a furry “Chubbles” that has a light sensor and when we cut on or off the light in my sons room, Chubbles makes that precious “ChubbleBabble”! Chubbles and BJ will both be 31 in August and they’re both good as new!

  177. My favorite characters are the ewoks…mainly because (oddly enough) my dog looks like she could have been in the cast for the series no problem. My boyfriend is also a HUGE Star Wars fan and he’d totally get a kick out of these. Thanks for a great giveaway! :-)

  178. “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.”

I once bought my boyfriend what I thought was a life-sized, true sound, light-up light saber on ebay… but it turned out to be only a four inch long gold replica. What can you do with a tiny metallic replica of a life saber? I suppose you could throw it at your enemies… but at most it would just give them a headache.

  179. I remember watching Return of the Jedi in 7th grade art class…for the life of me I can’t remember why we did that?!

  180. We are huge Star Wars fans. The knowledge my daughter has sealed the deal with her boyfriend…so dear.

  181. I LOVE Star Wars, I’ve organized more than one all-night marathon with my dad to watch all the movies again. Very cool!

  182. These cookie cutters would be the perfect birthday surprise for my husband!!!!

  183. When I was five I had a little Ewok doll with glowing eyes. They used to randomly start glowing at night and scare the heck out of me!
P.S. I still love Star Wars
P.P.S. I’m glad an Ewok isn’t included in the cookie set though

  184. My husband would love these! He has a very expensive light saber and I think he is hoping to get our 9 month old daughter to love Star Wars as much as he does!

  185. OMGosh! I make “Star Wars the Clone Wars” cupcakes for kiddos I know. Is there an address I could send a picture to show you? I’m feeling all conspiratorial all of a sudden. ; )

  186. These would seriously up my cool points as far as my 8 year-old and his friends are concerned. If I don’t win, I think I’ll have to buy some.

  187. OMG, my son is the biggest Star Wars fan! I would be such a cool mom is I surprised him with these!

  188. I have a confession…. I’ve never ever seen star wars. I don’t know how that’s possible because I love watching movies, but for some crazy reason I just haven’t watched it! I have very into baking and decorating cookies lately and this would be very fun to have:) I vow if I win these cutters then I will watch all the movies… ( however many there are)!!!!

  189. funny thing about star wars.. i’m not that into the movies but i like how the characters look :)

  190. I like my Star Wars characters like I like my chocolate chip cookies. Chewie. ;)

  191. What a great idea! This is one of those “why didn’t Ithink of that” times.

My husband loves Star Wars. I hadn’t even see them until I was dating him. So chalk one up for him for introducing me!

His birthday is coming up and he is having a milestone birthday and he loves anything nastolgic so this would be perfect.

    Thanks!

  192. I have two boys and one big boy (my husband) who are HUGE star wars fans. I stopped counting how many action figures they have because it’s insane! These cookie cutters would be perfect for them! Love them!

  193. Oh my, my sister and her husband are the biggest star wars fans i know..along with my 3 year old nephew! Who would Love eating star wars cookies!! :)

  195. my husband loves star wars!!! he loves his marc ecko star wars clothing so i know he’d def love star war cookies.

  196. The little ewoks were my favorite characters and my favorite Star Wars movie was Return of the Jedi. My nephew is is a big Star Wars fan and would love these!

  197. Oh my gosh, my son is OBSESSED with Star Wars and he’s never even seen the movies (he’s only 6)…..it is all because of the Wii Lego Star Wars games. HE’s been on a Boba Fett kick lately wanting to “buy” him. These cutters would be perfect for his bday in July!!!!!!!

  198. i’ve never seen star wars but i’ve been on the ride at disneyland many times!

  199. When I was a kid I not only had a bunch of Star Wars figurines, but I also had the planet Hoth and a “Return of the Jedi” swing set complete with a Speeder bike!

  200. Boba Fett and Storm Trooper cookies would be awesome! I have to say, I’m not ashamed to have a soft spot in my heart for Episodes 1-3 simply because Ewan Macgregor graced them with his presence.
