They Got Me

The other day I was doing a little impromptu shopping. I had already spent more than I wanted and I was about to pass the Williams-Sonoma store. I said to myself. “Walk faster. Faster. Don’t look in. You don’t need anything else. Whatever you do…

…don’t stop…

Don’t look in the …”

photo

Dang. They got me.

I really tried not to go in, but how could I be complete without these Star Wars Cookie Cutters. I knew if I left empty handed, I’d wish I had bought them in the off chance someone I know wants Boba Fett cookies one day. So I went in, telling myself the whole time I would just have a peek. I can resist.

IMG_0100

I can resist so well that I only bought two. One for me and one for you. Okay, one for one of you.

IMG_0033

Now, I like to bake to go along with a giveaway if I can, but I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to make and pipe these this weekend and I just couldn’t wait to show you these cutters. Plus, my piping skills might deter you from wanting to try them. Piping royal icing is a skill I need to work on, but the way to go if you’re up for it. They’d still be super cute just like this photo from the back of the box, though.

IMG_0079

The cutters have plungers that make impressions in the sugar cookie dough as you cut shapes.

IMG_0066

You can whip up some Storm Troopers…

IMG_0072

A Dark Lord perhaps.

IMG_0075

Maybe some Boba Fett’s just so you can say the name over and over.

IMG_0073

And you have to make Yoda, of course. Make him you should. And eat him you shall.

But… but wait… where’s Chewbacca and R2-D2? What’s up with that? I want to nibble on a little Wookiee. And maybe a little Harrison Ford.

They need a second edition. Fingers crossed.

IMG_0052

The set comes packaged in a cute box with a recipe for cookies and icing.

Besides the kiddies going gaga for these, I think it would make a great gift for Daddy’s Day. Well, it might make some Daddy’s Day, not all.

Find them at Williams-Sonoma or…

  1. Oh my goodness! I need to get some of these. My son is absolutely obsessed with Star Wars!! I have already done a Yoda and a 3D Jabba cake. Way too cool!

  2. I LOVE Star Wars and so does my man! He still has a starfighter figurine from when he was little! These cookie cutters are WAY too cool!!!

  3. I purchased all six Star Wars DVDs last year and have only watched one. I know I’m late on watching this cult phenomenon, but am hoping that these cute cookie cutters can do the trick of motivation.

  4. We are a HUGE Star Wars family. I even made a standing R2D2 cake for my husband’s birthday two years ago. My daughter plays princess Leia all the time and we are topping out at about 100 figures not including legos. In fact my sick 5 year old is watching Return of the Jedi right now. Lightsabers abound in our house and these cutters are a must have. I did buy a copper circle cutter this year and reshape it into a R2D2 cookie. Worked great, but the cookie is huge. So glad someone is making them for purchase now!

Rolling the dice and so hoping I win. Thanks.

  5. My sons were big figure collectors and loved the movies, now my grandson is in love with them all. My favorite character is Luke Skywalker. You have to love a haro.

  6. Check out this awesome photo of Lando and Han at the 30th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back!

    http://www.tmz.com/2010/05/20/lando-clarissian-and-han-solo-reunited/

    PS Thanks, these are AWESOME!

  7. while I’m not the biggest star wars fan, the students i work with would love them!

  8. I love Star Wars, I have ever since I was a kid. I used to play Star Wars on the playground in elementary school with all the boys (I was the only girl who liked it)…I got to be Princess Leia, who is still my favorite, though you have got to love Han Solo. Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the movies, and I couldn’t begin to decide on a favorite line – too many good ones. And now that I’ve truly shown how much of a dork I am, I’ll just say, I love these cookie cutters! :)

  9. Ewoks! That is what this set is missing.

  10. My brother in law loves Star Wars!! It would be so much fun to make these cookies for him.

  11. My 5.5-year-old son is OBSESSED with Star Wars. I actually know very little about the series, so when his dad gets home from work (after an entire afternoon of trying to talk to me about it and being very frustrated that I know very little) he bombards him with questions, ideas, games, ANYTHING about Star Wars. It lasts until he goes to bed, then he dreams about Star Wars (we take him to the bathroom before we go to bed and he mutters about Boba or Vader), and he wakes up talking about Star Wars. All day. Every day. He’d love these cookie cutters.

  12. These would perfect for my nephew’s birthday party! He’s turning 6 and he told us all that want’s a Star Wars party. I would love to surprise him with some of these cookies!

  13. I’m proud to say that the huge Star Wars fan in our fam is my little kindergartner daughter. While other girls play with dolls, she plays with her SW figurines, stuffed yoda, and even had a SW themed bday party! She loves reading through the SW comics too. She loves yoda r2d2 and c3po. I love princess leia and the ewoks!

  14. Princess Lea !!

  15. I saw these and asked my Star Wars loving husband if I should buy them. He said no, but I’m pretty sure his eyes said yes…in any case, way too cute!

  16. My favorite Star Wars character is my son! My two sons are huge Star Wars fans and for Halloween last year my oldest dressed up as Boba Fet and it warmed my heart to see him see happy.

    Does that count?

  17. My boyfriend is spoiled on all the sweets that I make him… I love baking. Little does he know (or probably even care, so long as I keep ’em comin’) that they’re all inspired by this site! He also happens to be the biggest star wars nerd I’ve ever met, so having these cookie cutters might just be enough to send him into a sugary, excitement fueled coma.

  18. For a friend’s birthday party, we watched all 6 of the movies back to back!

  19. my husband is totally obsessed with star wars!! I’ve watched them all with him over the years and they’re growing on me. I most definitely prefer the original trilogy to the new ones, but I know he’d absolutely die if I surprised him with star wars cookies!!!! :)

  20. My son is a Star Wars super fan! On Memorial day weekend, my DH is taking him to see Star Wars in Concert! The tickets weren’t cheap, but I know this is a memory that will last a lifetime for him!

  21. R2D2 – when I was young my parents bought my brother a robot that spun around made noises. When I think about it now that must have cost them a mint at the time. I have 2 brothers and we all loved the original movies and when the new movies came out I went to the theatre at midnight through a contest I won with a local radio station – it started at 12 midnight. I took my son with me and he loved it…..

  22. How super cool are these! My almost 4 yr old is into everything Star Wars!! He has all colors of the light sabers. Insane I know.

  23. My boyfriend would love these. He still plays with Star Wars Legos!

  24. haha! My son would love these!! He cracks me up with his StarWars Lego Wii game… that is my fav thing about StarWars- is HIM!

  25. Love me some Yoda, I do! Especially when he kicks butt!

  26. I loved watching Star Wars growing up (I was born in 85). We never owned the videos, so I had to catch it on TV or watch it at a friend’s house. When they announced that the original series was coming out on DVD, I immediately reserved my copy at the nearest Suncoast.

When I was younger, Return of the Jedi was my favorite.

  27. My husband got crazy when I showed the cutters to him… =)

  28. These are really cute, my little cousins would love these, and of course my husband would get a kick out of them too! I remember wearing my hear in two buns like Princess Leah and I had Princess Leah Underoos! Remember those!

  29. nothing beats a harrison ford-carrie fisher love story. :)

  30. My grandboys would flip over these

  31. Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith was the first midnight movie I went to go see. It was awesome! There was a Sith/Jedi fight in our theater!

  32. I would LOVE to make some cookies for my boyfriend and brother using these cookie cutters… they are the biggest Star Wars ‘dorks’ I know!

  33. My husband turned my now 4 year old son onto Star Wars while he was potty training. I spent a fortune on those Hasbro Star Wars figures as potty treats. Man – if only this has come out sooner!

  34. So Im actually a HUGE star wars nerd and for my 11th brithday I begged my parents to take my to the star wars art museum that was in SF. They took me. I begged for the lifesize cut out of Mark Hamill…. i did not get it :(

  35. I personally have only seen one Star Wars movie but my father LOVES Star Wars and would go completely crazy for these cookies!

  36. I have personally, never even seen Star Wars! A friend of mine is obessesed with it so if i win these. Im having a star wars cookies and movie night!!

  37. I am THE BIGGEST STAR WARS FAN!

Most women have boyfriends, husbands, or kids who are into Star Wars. In my family, I’m the big Star Wars geek. I have the original VHS of the trilogy, which I watch when I need background noise. Also attended the awesome Star Wars In Concert last October.

So when I saw this post, I was sooo excited because it is not something typically seen on dessert blogs because Star Wars is not very feminine.

Thank you for giving these away! I’m definitely heading over to William-Sonoma to get these!

  38. My husband and son LOVE Star Wars. My husband passed on his original figurines to our son. They watch the movies at least once a month and enact these elaborate battles together. So geeky and yet SO cute!

  39. My nick-name as a baby was Yoda! It perfectly fit my ears and hairless head! I can’t think of anything better than making these cookies for my brother’s birthday, he is a huge Star Wars fan.

  40. I named my 4 month old son after Hayden Christensen who played Anakin Skywalker in the movie Star Wars :-)

  41. I love these!! My boys are Star Wars fanatics and would love these cookies. I’ve made all kinds of shaped cookies for parties and special occasions and now I need to add these to the list!!

  42. my son went as Yoda for halloween last year, I made his costume out of burlap sack, old green rubber garden gloves, and printed a mask off from the net! It was a cheap, but awesome costume!!

  46. my son would go crazy for these!

  47. My son went as Yoda for halloween last year.. I made his costume out of an old brown sweat suit, and burlap sack! I found green rubber garden gloves and sewed the fingers together to make yoda hands and I printed a mask off that I found online, glued it to cardboard and cut out the eyeholes.. he looked amazing!! and since he’s only 6, he was the perfect height!!

  48. My son’s 7th birthday is coming up and he would LOVE these!!!

  49. My husband loves Star Wars. Our daughter’s birthday was this week and when we went gift shopping he kept trying to convince me that what our 7yo really wanted was a Millineum Falcon.

  50. We’re a bit of a Star Wars clan: My husband found an app for a light saber to put on his iPod and my son’s a big Star Wars fan, too. My nephew had a Star Wars b’day complete with brown hooded cloaks. My daughter had a white outfit and wore her hair in Princess Leia buns. Thanks for showing all of your fans such interesting products and for sharing some of them, too!

  51. My husband has been a Star Wars fan since a small child. He can recite the movies word for word. Star Wars figurines don’t even get me started on the boxes and boxes…..I’m sure this is one more thing he would love.

  52. OK, where to start…hubby loves the original trilogy and got my 5 and 8 year old hooked, they’ve seen all 6, my oldest wants to grow up and help George Lucas make more movies. They have light saber duals with their dad, own just about anything Star Wars, everything from the Darth Vader bank to the voice changers. They watch the Star Wars Clone Wars show religiously, own costumes galore, we have the all the Lego Star Wars video games, even the Clone Wars Lightsaber Duals. I’ve even blogged about it, http://dawnypoo.blogspot.com/search/label/Star%20Wars. Should I go on? Sigh.

  53. my fave charater i chewy!

  54. Darn, Chewi is my favorite, and r2d2 second, they really do need a second set. those are SUCH cute cutters though!!!

  55. For the longest time I kept telling my dad and brothers how stupid Star Wars was, although I had never watched any of the movies…And then it happened. I watched the first one and was hooked! These cookie cutters are just the cutest tribute to Star Wars I think I’ve ever seen!

  56. I have seen all of the movies but I don’t really know which one is my favorite. These cookie cutters would be great to help me work on my Star Wars movie skills!!

  57. My husband would love those! My brother and I had tons of Star Wars toys growing up. One day he crashed his big wheel into the Death Star :-(.

  58. Episode IV (the original first movie) is my favorite. I remember seeing it in the theater multiple times. The first time I saw it the film broke right when it looked like they were going to be squished in the trash compactor.

I also had as many figures as my brother, including the bigger (Barbie sized) figures of Vader, Luke & Leia. I undid the hair on the Leia doll and could never get it back in the buns.

  59. I just can’t think of Star Wars without thinking about Space Balls and “Pizza the Hut”

  60. I just moved in with my super geek fiance, so I’m now the proud co-owner of… about a million Star Wars action figures. Jeeez!

  61. Oh. My. Goodness!! Those are so cute! My son loves Star Wars.

  62. My husband and my 3 boys (7, 4, &2) all love Star Wars! So of course I love it too…nothing like having a pod-race or a space- battle before dinner!

  63. My favorite part in all of the movies is as follows:

    Anakin: You are SO beautiful.
Padme: It’s only because I’m so in love!
Anakin: No… No! It’s because I’m so in love with you!
Padme: So love has blinded you?
    Anakin: That’s… not exactly… what I meant…

SO awkward… yet so awesome. LOVE it. But really? Empire Strikes Back is my favorite. And Han Solo is probably my favorite character.

  64. The original vector graphics Star Wars game is the greatest Star Wars game ever made.

  65. What about the Ewoks?? They were my favorite! I guess they wouldn’t have made a cute cookie though :)

  66. Return of the Jedi is the BOMB!

  67. i think my son is the only 4 year old on the planet who hasn’t seen the star wars movies…any of them. But some day i’m sure he will see them and love them as much as my husband and i do. at any rate he’d love to eat little yodas even if he doesn’t really know who he is =)

  68. Hard for me to pick any one character but probably Hans Solo. Love these cutters and my grandkids would love to help me make cookies with these! Thanks for the chance.

  69. Recently my sister found me a set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cookie cutters for my husband (we both grew up loving that cartoon!) and I’m going to use them to make him some birthday cookies this year. I’m thinking if I were to throw in some Star Wars cookies as well…..I’d pretty much be the wife of the century! :-)

  70. love, love, love them. I know my grandkids would love these cookies

  71. OMG! I’m not a big Star Wars fan but those are just to darn cute! My son has several mini figurines. Not sure how many or what they are called, but he has them lol.

  75. It’s my birthday on Sunday! I was thinking about making sugar cookies instead of cake so I could dip them in Nutella fondue… If I could make it Star Wars…I believe my life would be complete. May the Force be with us all. :)

  76. Yoda rocks! Love the cookie cutters, so cute.

  77. I have made 3 Star Wars cakes to date and have been a Star Wars character for 2 Halloweens. These are too dang cute. If I don’t win them I will buy them!

  82. OMG, I have to have this. My nephew has been a star wars junkie since he was 2, he has seen all the movies, acts them out, and quotes lines from them now that he is 5. He would die if I made some of these cookies for our “date’s” that we have every couple of months! Please please please smile down on me oh random number picker

  83. I would have to say I am a princess Leah fan. I am also a Han Solo fan, but that could just be because he was played by Harrison Ford.

  84. My guy friend LOVE Star Wars! So much so, that he owns his own official Storm Trooper’s costume (uniform?) He would DIE if I made him these cookies!

  85. I must confess, I’ve never seen a Star Wars movie all the way through – sinful, I know!! But to be fair, Spaceballs is one of my all-time favorite movies ;o)

  86. My bedroom has shelves full of my husband’s Star Wars action figures. And so does our closet. And so did our kitchen. And so did another bedroom. Hmmm…. maybe he needs some Star Wars cookies perhaps?

  87. I admit….I’ve seen all 6 Star Wars movies and they aren’t exactly my favorite. But…..my hubby would like these :)

  91. My boys will love these!

  92. We have a former friend and neighbor that had a Star Wars room…yes, ROOM. Two entire walls were covered with figurines, the other two walls had shelving units with every known collectible Star Wars item, including Snickers wrappers, and in the middle…wow…in the middle was a glass shelving unit 6 feet tall with 4 layers that had every Star Wars LEGO construction set available put together and on display.

  93. My adorable four year old son was playing Star Wars with his best friend cousin and couldn’t remember the name Darth Vader. He dubbed himself “Darth Vodo”, and it’s stuck. Darth Vodo, he is.

  94. For my daughter’s first halloween we dressed her up as Princess Leia :o)

  95. When I was younger everyone used to call me Princess Leah because my name is so close to Leia’s, but I out-geeked them. Actually went and found out my birthday’s the same as Carrie Fisher (who plays Leia), which was always a secret source of pride for me :-). I really love the Star Wars movies, and combined with my Lego dorkiness, this means I’ve been drooling after this (http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Star-Wars-Collectors-Millennium/dp/B0017V21EY/ref=pd_sbs_t_3) set since it was announced… more than 5000 pieces? Yes please!!

  96. I have to make my comment an apology: I saw Phantom Menace 7 times in the theater. In my defense, all my friends were really into it and I only paid for it twice. Also, this one time when I was sick, I watched all six movies in their official order, and, dude, they are not about Luke at all. It is a huge redemption saga about Vader.

  97. Oh my gosh. Oh. My. Gosh. I am in love with these, and my boyfriend and all of his friends would fall deeply, madly in love with them if I made them for for his upcoming birthday. Please. Please. Please. Please pick me.

  98. I was two years old when I saw Star Wars in the movie theater with my older brother and younger brother. Now my boys, 12 and 10, are completely addicted. It’s like reliving my childhood with my boys’ Star Wars paraphenalia all over the house!

  99. I blame my parents for me missing the boat on Star Wars. When I was a kid all I knew were Ewoks – I didn’t see the movies and become a fan until I was an adult!

  100. You already said my favorite thing about Star Wars….nibbling on Harrison Ford. My goodness, what a fine-looking man/cookie.

  103. I love Star Wars and Empire is my favorite. All my son’s friends are jealous of the Star Wars collection I have on display, but he knows not to touch Mommy’s Star Wars stuff! That’s alright, he has his own little collection growing, mostly with Darth Vader stuff.

  104. My husband love Boba Fett which when I first watched the original movies with him I completely missed that character. I more of a fan of the new trilogy and Queen Amadala’s amazing clothes.

  106. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE star wars in this house! Seen all the movies, even the animated ones and the old ewok ones. We have the toys original and new, legos, books, and just about everything else. My boys (i have 3) really want the R2D2 fish tank at petsmart…But, not any fish LOL.

  107. I loved the original star wars – not the prequels. My favorite is Yoda – but the Ewoks are super cute too!!

  108. My husband & boys LOVE Star Wars! Watching my 3 boys get excited about lightsabers and Jedi’s make just as excited to watch the movies with them.

  109. Nephew has a Star Wars birthday party coming up. These would be perfect!

  110. I loved the original 3 Star Wars movies and was so excited when the next 3 were going to come out, but ridiculously let down by them. I was studying in London when #2 came out and saw it with some friends, and I couldn’t help laughing…loudly…at all the romantic scenes. And despite my dislike of the new ones, the same friends and I spent all night at an IMAX theater watching all the Star Wars movies – 1-6 – in a row. It was so much fun. I’d totally send them some cookies if I win.

  111. My son and I have started playing the Lego Star Wars video game together, and it’s lots of fun. He hasn’t seen the movies yet, but I bet he would love some cookies that matched his game…

  112. When Star Wars first came out I was 7 and I want to be princess Leia! When the action figures were released she took me to NYC so I could get Princess Leia, we stood in line forever to get her. What did I do. At lunch that same day I promptly lost her. Of course I started crying. My mom went back to the restaurant and searched under the tables until she found Princess Leia! Best mom ever!

  113. My brother LOVES Star Wars and he would love it if I made him some Star Wars Cookies! How Cute!

  114. My GRANDAUGHTER loves Star Wars. She’s 5 and watches all the movies with her Dad. She would love to help make cookies and use these cutters…..gotta love it…

  115. Those are awesome! I make cookie bouquets. I have a friend who is a new dad and that would be the best 1st Father’s Day gift – a Star Wars cookie bouquet. :)

  116. Oh man, sugar imperial cookies are my specialty, and I can only imagine how much tastier they would be if they were star wars imperials!

  117. When I was a kid, my older brother would watch Star Wars every day after school. Every day. And I would watch with him. I complained at the time, but I realize now that it was one of those rare brother/sister bonding times and I love it.

My favorite characters are the Ewoks. No question.

  118. my favrite character is chewbacca. i mean, who doesn’t love a giant bear/monkey/sloth creature?

    ;)

  119. OMG! Thank you for showing these, I must get the pancake molds for our big breakfasts on Sundays, my 3 young Padawans will flip out. We are big Star Wars fans (have dressed up as various characters for the past 3 Halloweens). My littlest Jedi, age 3, says his favorite movie is “Star Wars number 5: The Emperor’s Striped Back”.

  120. Stars Wars is a movie that appeals to all. I watched it as a kid and now my children love to watch the movies and play with their lightsabers.

  121. Oh my heck! I just watched all SIX of these movies for the FIRST TIME over the weekend! I am totally and completely in love! I must have them!!

  122. My favorite is Yoda. And one year I made my own princess lea costume for Halloween. Wow…so want to win these. Favorite one is Empire Strikes back.

  123. Love these… looking for a theme for my husbands 4oth these would be a great!!!

  124. OK, have to try for these or my husband would never forgive me! He’s a HUGE fan! I love Star Wars too, but I can’t compete with his Star Wars love, specifically his Boba Fett obsession!

  125. I love Star Wars, but I live with some people that know the movies inside and out! They would love these cookies.

  126. Both my husband & I are huge Star Wars fans! I remember seeing the first Star Wars movie in the theatre. When I was little, my sister & I played with all of the Star Wars action figures & I even had a Princess Leia (my favorite character) doll (a Barbie like doll) & I gave her a haircut (which I totally regretted). I also have a Stormtrooper Mr. Potato head-that’s how much I still love Star Wars!!! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  127. Star Wars is awesome! I love unusual cookie cutters. I think the best movie is the Empire Strikes Back. I had a crush on Han Solo as a child.

  128. I love the original Star Wars movies… takes me back to my childhood! My hubby and kids would flip if I made Star Wars cookies for them!

I agree with you… a second edition is a must! What I wouldn’t do for a little Harrison Ford cookie cutter… ummmmmm! ;)

  129. Didn’t see Star Wars until I was in high school, but have loved it since. Hubby is a big fan! :)

  130. I’ve finally managed to get my boyfriend, who previously professed to hate star wars (WHAT?!) to watch all of them. We had a marathon of sorts. He is now a convert. haha He has also promised to have his friends dress up as storm troopers and escort me around town for my birthday this year. SO excited.

  131. My now grown kids grew up watching Star Wars…and collecting every figurine available! Now my grandkids are enjoying it all over again!!! I make THE BEST sugar cookies around…or so “they” say….and so would love to whip up a batch of Star Wars Cookies!

    Love your site!

  132. I don’t know anything about Star Wars. My 7 yr old is a fan though and I can’t count how many Galactic Heroes he has. This would be so fun for a birthday party!

  133. Star Wars was the first big time Sci-Fi movie I saw! Super cool special effects that hold today. Hard to do back in the ’70’s. I have nicknamed my printer Darth Vadar. My black Printer, fax, copier combo can be a bit temperamental!!! Love the cookie cutters!!! Super cute! May the Force be with You!!

  134. My husband and son are HUGE fans, we have to watch the movies every time they are on…..i think there is a marathon on this weekend, yahoo!

  135. I love Hans Solo….dreamy =o)

  136. These are great … will have to go and get a set as we have several Star Wars fans!

  137. We are Huge star wars fans in our house! From movie cells from each movie in the wall to a replica lightsaber… Our kids have been anakin, darth, jarjar, padma, and storm troopers for halloween. We even have a yoda tree topper. He is our Christmas angel! I would love these cutters!

  138. My entire family loves Star Wars (not a big fan myself, but…would love to see them enjoy the cookies.)! I love that my kids favorite thing is to turn off all the lights and “fight” with flash lights as light sabers, making all the sound effects, of course!! My three year old also calls all popcicles light sabers, too!!

  139. When The Empire Strikes Back came out, my uncle took me and my sister to see it at the theater. I was 4 and my sister was seven. When the snow creature appeared at the beginning at the movie, I got so scared I kicked over our whole bucket of popcorn!

  140. My son is obsessed with Star Wars right now! I spends hours playing on the Wii with his lightsaber.

  141. When I was little my cousins and I were obsessed with Star Wars. We would spend hours upon hours playing with our Star Wars figurines and playing with my moms childhood toy of the 1970’s Death Star Play Set. It stands about 2 feet tall and even had the collapsing sewage area in it. It was the coolest thing ever!!!

  142. I really enjoy the movies occassionally, but absolutely love the music (John Williams is my favorite). My brother-in-law (dubbed “cookie monster” growing up, and huge fan of Star Wars) would absolutely love these cookies if I made them for him.

  143. I don’t like star wars…gasp…but my hubby does. He likes Yoda.

  144. I remember waiting in a line that snaked around the block downtown to see Star Wars when it first came out… it was the first blockbuster and is still going strong!

  145. I grew up loving star wars and saw the originals in the theatre with my dad. Now my son, who is 4, loves all the movies too. Maybe too much….the other day we were driving home a little friend of his and watching the dvd in the car….the little friend said, “there is princess leia”, and my son looked at him confused and said, “that is not leia! That is princess amidala, leia hasn’t even been born yet!” Now that is a 4 year old that knows his stuff!!! He would love these cutters- stacy

  146. we got my son the star wars cookbook for his birthday last year. he would absolutely die if we got these!

  147. My husband has been Anakin Skywalker for Halloween for as long as I’ve known him. He claims he wants to get his money’s worth out of the costume : ) I’m sure he’d appreciate me making these for him.

  148. I love character cookies and it just so happens that i have quite a few star wars fanatics as friends. it would be such a fun party….

  149. “Walk faster. Faster. Don’t look” Hahahaha! I SO know what you mean. ‘-) My favorite character is R2-D2. I can still remember seeing that first Star Wars movie…the theater goes dark, and then the text starts scrolling up the screen. Wow – that was considered special effects then! Thank for sparking the memory today Bakerella!

  150. GAH! I would ONLY make Star Wars cookies!! For the rest of my life! My brother is HUGE into Star Wars and I always tease him about it. He would be teasing me if I got these!

  151. These are so cute! I loved the Star Wars movies growing up but I haven’t seen any of the new ones. I used to want to be Princess Leah.

  152. My husband and I’s first date was going to see Star Wars at the IMAX. Now our oldest son is turning 5 next month and it’s his favorite movie…naturally he’s having a HUGE Star Wars party! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to make these cookies for his party.

  153. I must admit, the cookie cutters are cute. My husband is a HUGE Star Wars fan.He would get such a kick if I served up some of these! As a general rule, I stay out of Williams-Sonoma; I always end up leaving with something.

  154. My husband is obsessed with everything Star Wars, but my favorite character has got to be Obi Wan Kenobi – so poised and calm, and handsome.

  155. I just found this site and LOVE it!! You’ve inspired me to start baking again and to get serious with it. I can’t wait to start.

As for Star Wars, I love all three original ones and the second trilogy was decent. But my all time Favorite characters are the Ewoks. I have a stuffed Ewok that I still sleep with, and have since I was 2. Oh, did I mention I’m 30? lol Why is there no Ewok cutter? You’re right, they need a second edition.

  156. My girlfriend is a huge fan and ever…. im so excited!!!

  157. First of all, I must have these cookie cutters! (and the matching pancake molds!) Second, I love star wars! I’ve seen all of the movies, though I agree the original are better! In high school, I had two friends who had working light sabers with sounds and everything..they proceeded to have a lightsaber fight. It was awesome, just like these cookies would be!

  158. My husband makes the Yoda voice whenever I am mad at him and it always works to get me laughing again. Hmm…win these I will.

  159. Oh boy…my husband and son love Star Wars and would love it if I made them some cookies!

  160. My husband is LOVES Star Wars, my daughter at the age of two was chewy for halloween, no cute little fairy costume for her :( I am taking one for teh team and goign to the Star Wars in concert with him.

  161. I saw these and have been lusting after them ever since! Random Star Wars related incident: My husband & I recently caught Episode III on TV a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed making fun of it and all of the horrible acting and dialogue.

  162. My 3-year old son is in L.O.V.E. with Star Wars and has been since he was about 1 1/2. It’s difficult to feed his obsession because all the toys are ages 6 and up. But how can I resist when his sweet little face pleads: “Mommy? Can I have Stah Wahs?”

Toy count: 2 blue lightsabers, 1 green lightsaber, 1 red lightsaber, 1 Clone Trooper Blaster, at least 6 figurines, 2 ships and 1 fully decked out Star Wars bedroom, decals and bedding included. We’re embracing the obession!

  163. Star Wars!!
I do have to say – back in December, I had made templates for my fiancee’s dad’s birthday of Yoda, Darth Vader & A Star Trooper… They took forever & these would have made life SO much easier!
I love Star Wars, as does my fiancee’. I think I will always have a crush on R2D2, who doesn’t want their own little robot!?

  164. My Star Wars Secret? I have a closet full of custom made (by me) Jedi Costumes and they aren’t my kids! My husband and I each have one, my son has been Luke, Han, and Clone Wars Obi Wan. Needless to say we are a family obsessed with Star Wars. I was so darn excited when I saw them I went right online and bought them! Thanks for sharing! And don’t worry I have faith that you can do royal piping! It’s just practice, practice, practice!

  165. Looks like another adventure waiting to happen in our kitchen. Our kids love to play lego star wars on the wii and are dying for me to buy the “updated” versions of the classic star wars so they can watch them again. Maybe I will have to make it an entire movie night – complete with popcorn and star wars cookies!

  166. My baby nephew was Yoda for Halloween this past year and he was the cutest little thing! Too bad we couldn’t train him to Yoda-speak to go with it, although I’m sure that would have messed him up! :)

Thanks for the chance to win these great cookie cutters!

  167. All my grandkids will love these! Please pick me this time!! I loved Episode 3 when it first came out in the 70’s!

  168. Gotta love Yoda. I had a cat that looked just like him when she got mad.

  169. My husband LOVES Star Wars. To the extent that we have two large photo mosaics, one of Yoda, one of Darth Vader, both made up of pictures from the movies, hanging over our TV. They take up half of a wall. On top of them are M&M Star Wars figurines. The DVD case next to them holds all 6 movies. Now, if I gave him Star Wars cookies for Father’s Day, I think I would be ranked among the top wives of ever, forever.

  170. Definitely Chewie!!!
    LOVE that BIG hairy beast!

  171. When I was a kid I had a stuffed Ewok, I loved that thing. Maybe they’ll do some Ewok’s if they do a second edition :)

  172. How adorable are these? But I hate to admit I was in high school for the very first Star Wars release! But I have grandkids who love it! thanks!

  173. I love Yoda. The way he talks is just the best. And the way you get the feeling he always knows more than he is saying. Love it!

  174. i love yoda!!! These are AWESOME!!!!!!! LOVE them all :)

  175. As a kid, we didn’t have cable, so we watched a lot of PBS and movies on cassette. My brother, sister, and I wore through the tape on Empire Strikes Back because we watched the original trilogy so regularly. Its still one of my favorites and in college when Showtime played a marathon of ALL SIX movies, I actually stayed in on a Saturday Night watching…crazy!

  176. I just love the way Master Yoda….”Fight, We Must”. Hahaha….

  177. the star wars movies are great. i’m not one of those die hard fans but i have some people in my life that would absolutely LOVE cookies in these shapes.

i must say tho, family guy’s rendition of star wars is awesome ;)

  178. I was five when Star Wars was on TV and I wasn’t allowed to watch because it was way past my bed time.
At age six I saw Star Wars IV for the first time, and it stayed my favorite for a loooong time – until I watched V.
So V is now my all-time favorite. Oh, and I think I have pretty much every Star Wars computer game that is out there.
Yes, my siblings and I were geeks. And I still am, shuddup.

  179. When my husband and I were dating we took the summer to rent and watch all the Star Wars movies. It was fun to see them for the first time together:)

  180. I have fond memories of Star Wars. In Younglife we sang a song that incorporated all the characters of Star Wars. I would have to say Princess Lea is my fav! I would love to add these cookie cutters to my collection! =]

  181. My Star Wars ‘confession’ is that I only watched the trilogy for the first time a year ago. I had heard all about it, but never actually watched it until last year. Crazy.

  182. Hmmm….one thing about Star Wars? Well, to my knowledge, I have never actually seen Star Wars. Can you believe it?? But these would be super fun, so pick me!!!

  183. LOVE the Star Wars cookie cutters!! I agree that there needs to be a Han Solo cookie cutter, and R2-D2. At least we got Yoda! Would love to have these, oh the cookies I could make!

  184. These are AMAZING!!
Star Wars:A New Hope is my favourite! A close second in Return Of The Jedi…. can’t resist those Ewoks! haha! They need to put an Ewok cookie cutter in that second edition :)
Hubby and I almost had a Star Wars wedding!! We were talked out of it, but still had the theme music played on violin!!

  185. OMG I must have these! My husband is a huge fan and never stops telling me about how his dad signed hime out of school to go see the movie. He now has my soon to be 3 year old obsessed, and who will turn any stick-like object into a “light-saber”

  186. Every time I hear the opening fanfare for Fox, it just doesn’t seem right if the Star Wars music doesn’t follow! Its just one of those things .. my husband and I are both big Star Wars fans, but he’s got some friends that could tell you *everything* about *anything* in the movie. I’d be the bee’s knees if I made them these cookies!!

  187. They are just so Star Wars! The boys would love them for sure!

  188. i’m a huge harrison ford fan, so i guess i’d say han solo! and my husband has one lego star wars kit

  189. I love all the movies….grew up watching them, and when the next generation of movies (or 1st..lol) it was fun watching all the “old” ones again with my kids

  190. omg…I would make these, but I don’t know if I’d eat them or spend hours admiring them…possibly I’d make salt cookie ornaments out of them…
But I would definitely introduce my little boy to the wonders of All Things Star Wars. :) (My husband thinks I’m a geek in this respect, I say phooey to him!)

  191. Gotta love the Wookie! Those cookie cutters are absolutely amazing!

  192. OMG, my husband would love these he is a total Star Wars guy.

  193. AWESOME are those cookie cutters!!!

I have a complete set of Star Wars trading cards from my childhood from when the first movie came out.

  194. Well… I have only watched one Star Wars movie.. But I love the way Yoda speaks.. or was that his name?

  195. The only thing I can really appreciate about Star Wars is Chewbacca. I wish they had a cutter in his shape. A chewy, wookie cookie would be fantastic to give to my Star Wars loving friends.

  196. When I was younger, my favorite movie was Return of the Jedi.. but that I think was mostly because of the Ewoks.
Now that I am older, A New Hope is my favorite.

As far as my favorite character, well… Han Solo was always one of my first crushes and we’ll leave it at that.

And if I don’t win these cookie cutters, I’m going to have to go buy them even though I’m not allowed to buy anything for the next two months as I prepare to move to the United Kingdom. But I _need_ these cookie cutters!

  197. As a kid I saw the original Star Wars 12 times in the theater….now my kids are as addicted as I was, all these years later. This would make great treats for a film fest…..

  198. My son saw these in the Williams Sonoma catalog and was begging me to buy them. He loves Yoda!

  199. I once dated a guy who had an entire dresser full of Star Wars figurines… still in the boxes… and he waited until we were together for 6 months before he showed it to me… it was weird.

  200. Does this explain anything? My husband’s birthday cake.

    http://brossettelewis.blogspot.com/2008/10/its-millenium-falcon.html

I would love those cutters. I’d use them to death. I have twin 2.5 yr olds and a 3rd boy due in August….these would rock.
