Today’s post was supposed to be something cute in time for Easter. Unfortunately, I didn’t do any baking this weekend or last. I’ve been sick and was in the hospital for a few days. Today is the first I’ve felt up to even getting on the computer. Thank you everyone that emailed wondering if I was ok. You don’t know how much that made me feel better. And I am better now. It just takes me a little longer to get over things.
Here’s why if you’re interested.
And, if you’re still looking for something bunny-related, then try this, this, this, this or this from previous years.
Now, luckily I still have last week’s post that never made its way live. It’s about doughnuts. Delicious decadent doughnuts.
You see, last year I was shooting some photos at a friend’s studio for the Cake Pops book coming out later this year. We started early in the morning and I hadn’t eaten yet. My friend offered me a doughnut. I was like yes. Perfect. When I opened the plain white box, there was only one doughnut left, curiously shaped like the letter A. An A doughnut? That’s kinda weird. Then he told me they were from the other day. Hmmmm. Do I want a who-knows-how-old doughnut? Yes. Yes. I did. I was hungry. So I threw it in the microwave for a few seconds to try and revive it. And, oh my. Oh my! OH MY! It was the best doughnut I’ve ever put in my mouth. The plain glazed A-shaped doughnut was filled with the most delicious mocha filling. I about died. Before I could even finish I was asking my friend where they came from.
But, he didn’t know. GASP. Someone had brought them to the studio for another shoot. And no one there knew the name or where they came from. Noooooo.
Just my luck, but probably a good thing for my waist.
Then weeks later, I was flipping through some magazines and found this little feature.
See.
No… not the cute owner. See the A doughnut on the left? It had to be the same place. Thank you for A-shaped doughnuts.
Finally, I found you.
Sublime Doughnuts in Georgia. We were reunited briefly in January. The doughnuts made an appearance on the Sugar Coma tour I attended where I was able to taste a few.
But I wanted more. I wanted to try all their flavors. So, weeks later. Like a couple of weeks ago. I finally made my way to Sublime.
I ordered a dozen for myself.
Each one different.
Like this Smores doughnut.
This Butter Toffee with Caramel Chocolate Icing.
And this Chocolate Wild Berry Fritter.
I had a doughnut party with myself and tasted them all.
Including this Caramel Apple Fritter, Red Velvet Cake and Dulce de Leche.
As well as this A-town Cream and Peanut Butter Cup doughnut.
Sublime has fab flavors and fun shapes like this Orange Dream Star. Delish.
And this Oreo doughnut with cream filling. Help.
And then there’s my old friend the A-Town Mocha. That’s A for Atlanta if you’re wondering. But I say A for Amazing.
Now, I just need to visit again to try the other dozen flavors that didn’t make it in my mouth.
Can you see, I’m all about doughnuts right now.
If you’re not convinced, take a look at….
this cute crystal-sprinkled pink doughnut necklace I found. Adorable, huh. It’s from the Alice in Wonderland collection at Swarovski.
I’ve never shopped at Swarovski until the other day. Cupcake Julie and I were at the mall and we peeked in.
Five minutes later I walked out with this cream colored doughnut necklace wondering what had just happened.
Impulse buying can be dangerous, but I love it and I’m glad I snagged it. So glad, I went online a few days later and ordered another one (This limited edition pink one) to give away. It’s just too dang cute not to share.
Want it? Come on. We can be dough nuts together.
Just leave a comment to this post on the site for a chance to win it.
All you have to do to be entered is to count the number of nuts on the Butter Toffee doughnut above. Just kidding. Let’s make this easy. Just tell me something about yourself. Your favorite doughnut flavor? Something you’re grateful for? What you’ll be doing this Easter? Some usual or unsusual talent you have? How many pair of shoes you own? Phobias? Favorite guilty pleasure. Surprise me.
Deadline to enter is Tuesday, March 30th at 5:00 pm ET. Time’s Up! Winner announced below.
One winner will be chosen at random and announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.
Good luck.
Wow. You guys never cease to amaze me. Reading your comments makes me laugh and sometimes makes me cry. But they always brighten my day. Thank you.
Now it’s time to reveal the winner chosen at random.
Yay Mel! Isn’t it fun being right. Now your hubby can be reminded of it everytime he looks at this cute little doughnut necklace around your neck. Congrats!
P.S. Julia – you must share a photo of your full sleeve arm tatoo dedicated to Mary Poppins. Fascinating.
Donuts are my favorite food ever. I’m not kidding. This post is making me so envious!!! And I LOVE the pendent. So adorable!
We just came back from vacation, so this Easter we will be recovering. Love the necklace. Not really a donut person but these may change my mind. Please get well soon.
I probably missed the cutoff again, but thought I’d comment anyway. My family loves donuts, and we have family that lives in Atlanta…must make plans to go there during our next trip. These all look delicious!! Glad you are feeling better…
I love chocolate cake donuts! I know, not too exciting, but I LOVE them.
My hubby is from ATL. Next time we are there, we have to try this! They all look soooo good! Especially the peanut butter one!
I am so sorry to hear that you were ill!!! We’ve been sick in our family forever with a nasty coughy thing.
I think my keyboard may short out from the drool falling from my mouth as I looked at the picture of the baker – I mean doughnuts…oops! I don’t think I could pick a favorite and definitely will make my brother bring back a dozen of those beauties when he goes on his next trip to Atlanta!
The necklaces are supercute! I like them almost as much as the cupcake ones….
I love it! Can I have it?
I love donuts. I usually stick to strawberry or vanilla frosted… sooo good.
I have to say that mocha one looks delish! But my favorite is from a bakery here in our little town in O-H-I-O they make apple donughts with super yummy apple chunks and cinnamon-oh so good!
There are 4310 nuts on that doughnut. J/K.
Chocolate frosted creme filled long johns, now that’s where it’s at. PS. I am enjoying your blog,,,alot. Kare
Hi my name is Noemi and I’m Mexican. Except I don’t look anything like it. I’ve gotten Asian, Middle, Eastern, White, European {French mainly), but never Mexican. Not even in Mexico do I look it which is awesome for when I surprise people with my wonderful Spanish :] If you saw me you’d be surprised too.
I love doughnuts!! My chocolate lab is named donut, and he sleeps curled up tight in a ball. Our chihuahua likes to sleep curled up tight right next to him and she looks like a little donut hole when she does. :D My favorite flavor is old fashioned. This post makes me really want to go out and get a dozen!
too cute! my favorite is chocolate. seems so easy, but it’s been my fave since i was a kid. :)
I’m going to try to make your yellow chick cake pops this weekend!! I’m so excited!
I’m hoping that I can do that project in school I want to (I’m in what you would call high school here in Sweden). We have to do a project on our own according to the mainsubject we study. My main subject is in the estethic apartment (like music, art and dance). And I want to do a cookbook, well, more a cakebook really, and I really hope I’m allowed to do that.
And by the way, you are absolutely amazing! I have done your fourteen layer cake, but with 15 layers for my younger brother’s birthday (he turned 15). I also did your chocolate chip cookie pie for my birthday and i absolutely loved it! I plan to try more of your cakes. I have promised a couple of my friends to have a party this summer, the theme being cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and possibly cake pops :D!
Keep doing what you do because you’re amazing!!! :D
//Lisa, seventeen, from Sweden.
phobias: medical needles and spiders… *shudder*
favorite donut? raspberry jelly, any day of the week
I’m making homemade chocolate-dipped strawberry marshmallows with my kiddos (4 and 3) for Easter this year. Favorite doughnut flavor??? Probably the apple cider old fashioned doughnuts that we made this Fall! Chocolate-coconut are amazing too though!
Thanks for your gloriously inspiring site, BTW!
Omg!!! I love love love doughnuts! My fave is from Krispy Kreme..chocolate iced kreme filled! mmmm :)
I would have to say chocolate covered doughnuts are my favorite hands down….hmmm….or maybe glazed doughnuts….or…well, all doughnuts are my favorite. After seeing the georgous array of doughnuts you featured, I might be making a spontaneous road trip to Georgia. They look totally worth it.
Love that necklace! Too cute!
Love that necklace. So cute!!!
My favourite donut flavour is apple and cinnamon :) Mmm I love pastries
I Love Swarovski they make great jewelry and the doughnut is super cute! My favorite is still sprinkles! nothing tops waking up sundays to eat chocolate sprinkled doughnuts

I wish I won this necklace! It’s beautiful, yay!!!
:) :) :)
dang it! i always miss your fabulous give aways! i’ll tell you something anyway…I’m grateful for my Mr. Miles Kitty Cat. He was very sick last week, and I’m so glad he’s feeling better. I love him. Maybe that makes me sound like the crazy cat lady, but I don’t care. ;)
My favourite doughnut flavor has got to be a regular iced Krispy Kreme. Plain and boring? Yes but soooo good!
I love your website!!! My mom is addicted to donuts she would love to have this necklace to go with her dounut pajamas, christmas ornament, and the other donut charm that she has!
It is very cute!
I love old fashioned doughnuts!!!
My favorite donut is from 7-Eleven. I know it sounds lame, but they have this boston cream filled donut THAT IS THE BEST. It is so awesome and tasty. Ugh… I might have to get one tonight too.
I seriously ate one on a trip driving somewhere and I CRIED. I had tears in my eyes. That’s how good it is. >.<
Glad you are feeling better! Was just talking last night with my friend, Tina, about her kidney donation to her husband. He’s doing well, but has had to hide out a lot this winter because of all the crud going around.
Oh, and nothing better than seeing the “Hot Doughnuts Now” sign on @ Krispy Kreme!
Wow – the oreo donut with the cream filling has my mouth drooling! Since I’m not in Atlanta and I can’t eat that, I’d love the necklace instead.
I love a chocolate covered Krispy Kreme! :) mmmmmm!
OMG! That is adorable!!!
Spending time with my family for Easter! :)
Something about me? I’m trying to learn to sew. It will kill me.
squeezing in at the last second… that’s like me. anything resembling anything sugary, fried, iced, or sprinkled… love it!!!
I’m glad you are feeling better!
I haven’t had a doughnut for a loooong time, but my favorite would be an old fashioned with maple topping. Yum.
Ohhh…they look so good. Next time I am in GA, I am totally going to have to find this place!
Hi, You are such an inspiration to all of us that love to bake. I, myself, sometimes get discouraged when things i make don’t come out right. But i’ve been told i’m my own worst enemy on my critique! I stalk your site !!! Anywho, I’m going to try and make some bunny pops for easter. They’re mainly for my little daughter. She loves all things cake!
Hmm… favorite doughnut flavor? That’s a tough one! There’s a place here in Austin called Gourdough’s and they have amazing gourmet doughnuts and anything made by them would be just fine by me! Maple glazed with a slice of bacon in top? Yes, please!
Love your site BTW, This is my first comment.
My fav donut is cream filled with chocolate icing, much like the one in the picture about halfway through your post.
Making my mouth water something tremendous!!!
I love, love Krispy Kreme glazed donuts when the hot donut sign is on! They should be against the law, they are sooooooo good! Just melt in your mouth. Happy Easter!
NO!!!! I always miss it by just a little bit!!!!!! i loved alice and wonderland and those doughnuts look absolutely divineeeeeeee i’m glad you’re back bakerella, the world was a dark, dreary place without you, it really was.
donuts=teh love
Oh yum…doughnuts! That necklace is too cute. I won’t even tell you how many doughnuts we bought last time at Krispy Kreme-I don’t want to think of the damage I could do at Sublime!
Right now? I am currently writing a rap about Buddhism for school. This Easter weekend, I will be volunteering at church during our annual Toronto Passion Play. (:
I also saw the cupcake necklace from Swarovski online, I’m surprised you didn’t buy it as well.
Great giveaway!
My boyfriend loves doughnuts and he can eat several at a time but they don’t look a patch like the ones you have over there is the US!
I hope that’ll i’ll get to test some “real” doughnuts out one day!
i love doughnuts. this easter i am hoping to just spend time with the people i love
I love chocolate glazed donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts. Alas, I live in California, where there are no Dunkin’ Donuts, so family on the East Coast will next-day me some periodically!
I haven’t had a doughnut in a long time, but my favorite is usually Boston Cream.
Looking at the ones you tried though, I think I would change my mind if I visited Sublime. It looks like doughnuts might be the “new” cupcakes!!
My BFF Bill owned a doughnut shop after working for years at all the major cookie companies. He taught me to bake and gave me some great recipes. He died a few years ago from AIDS and I still miss him everyday. When I bake cookies I know I am passing on a piece of his legacy from all the hours I spent with him baking in his doughnut shop.
oh my goodness, i could almost taste some of those. yummy.
Well let’s see, my favorite donut flavor is the long johns wth maple frosting. YUM! But if I were at home in Muncie, Indiana I would go to Concannon’s Bakery for the best donuts like their chocolate cream filled…Oh my!!!
We make semi homemade donuts here at home using biscuit dough fried in the deep fryer. We even experimented this past weekend and left one without puttng a hole in the middle then I cut a small slit in the side and filled it with HM chocolate frosting.
Those are sooooo cute!!
I am grateful for my health, So sorry you are not feeling well.
I can do the spilts all 3 ways still.
I love to shop for clothing for my kiddos.
I don’t think I am afraid of anything. Oh yes, I’m claustrophobic. That I am.

Hope I haven’t missed the deadline!!! Loving the doughnuts, especially the custard filled ones ….. yum yum
My favorite doughnut when I was a kid was raspberry-filled with powdered sugar on top. Then it was bear claws. Then Bavarian Cream. Actually, any doughnut is yummy. Here in Texas we have Round Rock doughnuts, which are ORANGE!
I mean, the bread is colored orange. Divine!
The very best kind of doughnut is a fresh, warm one.
This Easter I will be spending with my 3 daughters… my best girls. Oh, and the rest of the family too. :) Hopefully, we won’t eat too many sweets… or maybe WE WILL!! :)
My favorite donut is Boston Creme, but your review of the flavors at Sublime had me drooling! Wish I lived closer to Atlanta so that I could check them out myself.
I like the classic chocolate glazed raised doughnut. My hubby buys me one each time he goes ot the grocery store!
Your favorite doughnut flavor? Boston Cream

I’m going to Atlanta this summer and I will be sure to stop in for a doughnut!
I love the necklaces! ^~^
I love baking too and I love doughnuts, but here in Scotland we only really get jam or cream doughnuts (not even a krispy kreme shop yet!). ^o^ We don’t get all of these fancy flavours you had there! Aww…
Also, I have a swarovski hedgehog… :)
It’s so nice to finally read a new post from you, i checked back everyday and wondered where you had gone…hope you are well, your posts always brighten my days and are so inspiring, makes me want to get in the kitchen and experiment which is one of my favourite things to do! I love Donuts, especially that pretty little sparkly charm one! i gazed at the Alice in Wonderland collection in a swarovski store in London a few weeks back but unfortunately couldn’t afford to buy anything :( i also tend to pass time and keep fit by hula hooping, a more healthy and energetic use of something that is doughnut shaped (almost)
Gave you a shout out for your Easter goodies!!!

Glad you are feeling better, Happy Easter.
I love your cute decorating ideas! Planning on making your adorable easter basket cupcakes tomorrow.
my favorite doughnuts would be anything with coconut on or in it. if it’s got coconut, I’ll eat it. :p
Something about myself:
I would love to own a diner – a real old fashioned diner with Formica counters and cheesy plastic bar stools that serves delicious malts and heart-stopping menu items like patty melts and grilled cheese sandwiches. Instead I work for a law firm. One can dream though!
Lemon-filled donuts from anywhere! (Especially if they are made with fresh lemon juice.) My guilty pleasure!
Oh well, looks like I’m going to have to go out and get some donuts now. Goodbye Mr. Diet.
So cute! I love it :)
I’m grateful for 4 day work weeks, and spring break! I’m in much need of a break!
I love plain maple bars, especially when they have warm frosting.
Happy Easter
This Easter I will be celebrating with my wonderful family…I will be making all the desserts thanks Bakerella for motivating me to bake! ;)
Totally random…I went to the store with my two kids yesterday and it was snack time. I decided that as a special treat we would each pick out a doughnut from the bakery to bring home for snack. Doughnuts in the afternoon…YUMMY!
I’m new to this page and absolutely LOVE it. My coworkers and I over here in Honolulu check back often for inspiration…..Favorite donut is usually a maple bar but out here they have these “Portuguese Donuts” called Malasadas…they are like a really yeasty fluffy donut without the hole in the middle…almost like a large donut hole and they they are coated in super fine crystal sugar…or you can get them with local fillings like lilokoi…MMMMmmmmm but I’m still a traditionalist with the maple bar.
all of these donughts look absolutely delicious.
My guilty pleasure would be that I would eat them all… in one sitting.
I am a blessed and thankful person that loves loves loves doughnuts!!!! How exciting to win this adorable necklace?!

The only thing better than a Swarovski donut is a Swarovski cake pop! Hey, stranger things have happened!!! Hope I win. Happy Easter y’all.
I don’t eat doughnuts often, but upon thinking about if I even had a favorite, I found I had a LIST! My favorites I think are the mini doughnuts at the Minnesota State Fair (or any fair I guess, but that one is my fave)…it might have something to do with the characters that serve them and when you ask for more sugary goodness on top, they tell you why they only put a certain amount on, but would LOVE to give you more…. I also love doughnut holes! After that, I would say chocolate with chocolate frosting and sprinkles, old fashioned with chocolate frosting, or powdered sugar numnumnumnum
I just put together my hubby’s Easter basket, I went a little overboard, I should have gotten a bigger basket!
My name is Jaclyn and I am a bargain shopper, I have to brag and say that I bought 3 pair of shoes this weekend for 70 cents each! Yes they were from Dollar General and yes they will fall apart after one season but they are really adorable ballet flats. I bought every style they had in my size.
Ahh, donuts are my weakness too. Especially Strawberry donuts. Pink donuts are always the best kind in my book!
The chocolate frosted donuts from Dunkins were always my favorite until I moved from New England to Oklahoma. Now I can’t find a Dunkins within 30 miles. Of course, nothing beats a freshly made apple cider donut from the orchards in New England. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!
I am inspired to bake bc of you!! that donut necklace is adorableee
I love chocolate creme donuts but would freaking kill for a mocha fileld one. and i love swarovski
So glad you’re feeling better. My favorite doughnut, Spudnuts! They’re made from potatoes and are so delish! My parents used to make them when I was a kid.
I can NOT WAIT till your book comes out!!! but this litle dougt could hold me till then!!!
P.S. I’m so so glad you are feeling better. Big Hugs!!
Despite my commitment to a chocolate-centric lifestyle, my favorite doughnut is the hot, original glazed doughnut from Krispy Kreme. If you’ve ever had one, you will understand.
I am thankful for my son who brings so much joy and warmth to my life.
LOVe me some Krispy Kreme’s, but those look amazing!
I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better!
I think I’m off to go figure out how to recreate these delicious doughnuts!
My favorite kind of doughnut has to be one with maple frosting and nuts.
Necklace is adorable!
I don’t want to sound greedy…..but I would LOVE to win this necklace. I love your website, I get your newsletter, and I think you’re FABULOUS! (my secret dream is to eat a dozen donuts…any and all flavors)
First off I am glad you are feeling better. I was sad when I kept coming back to your site and saw no Eater picture posts. But now that I know all is well I fell better and hope you are too! This is my first time posting I beleive…I may have made a comment once before. I loved you acticle on doghnuts…I love doghnuts my fax a long john with choclate icing. YUM! I found this post intersting because my son loves doghnuts and is a fan of peanut butter cup anything and this is the first doghnut place I have seen with peanut butter cup doughnuts. To bad they don’t ship doghnuts to OHIO. We may have to make a trip to Atlanta just for doughnuts….lol. Anyway thank you for this intersting article and hope you stay well. Jennifer from OHIO
It’s my son’s first Easter and I put together a big easter basket for him full of teethers, bibs, puffs, a new jacket, bath toys and socks. It’s probably way more fun for me considering he is only 6mos old. But hey, it puts a smile on my face and I’m so blessed to have such a cutie boy!
Right now, I’m grateful for awesome friends that put up with my crazy self! (Also, Jesus, that oreo doughnut looks /so good./)
there was a Winchell’s Doughnut shop near my orthodontists office and after many of the appointments my mom and I would go there. I’d always order a french cruller.
Yum!
My name is Jes and I’m a senior at Arizona State University currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management. In reality though, I think all I’ve ever wanted to do with my life was cook and bake, I’ve just been too scared to take the step…
I love all donuts…especially cherry fritters!
Mmmmm donuts! Hope you are feeling better soon. Maybe a couple of donuts will make you feel better ;)
Can’t eat doughnuts anymore since my daughter was diagnosed with numerous food allergies (let me recommend Cybele Pascal’s new cookbook, it is AWESOME for baking allergen-free). I used to love Krispy Kreme in their classic but maple bars and chocolate bars are ones I also have a soft spot for. What an adorable necklace, I would give it to my sister-in-law, because she is awesome. :)
Wow! Those donuts make Krispy Kreme look like child’s play….but unfortunately I cannot drive to GA any time soon to indulge! (sigh…)
But I could dream about them with that darling donut necklace!!! Here’s to hoping!
thanks for such a great site – my mom and i love reading and trying out your recipes! My favorite flavors/recipes inlcude chocolate and caramel. Love me some buttercream too! (but who doesn’t???)
This easter I will be unfortunately at college studying away for exams to come, wishing I could be home to bake something pretty and cute with easter colors to share with my family and friends! But my favorite donut has to be raspberry jelly filled donut. And maybe just plain cake donut as well… and any type of cream filled donut…. Oh how I love them all! Those donuts look amazing, I am craving one now! Glad you are better, Bakerella!
I am sorry you were ill and happy that you are feeling better.
I love Alice in Wonderland AND donuts!!! Perfect combination :)
I love those donuts… we have a favorite shop in Az but they don’t look that amazing. My favorite donut is a glazed with orange icing. I also like filled… yum yum yum… with most any flavor. That necklace is too cute!
I love a chocolate cake donut with either coconut or nuts on top. OR a glazed donut with chocolate icing :D
Yum… those doughnuts look super! Oreo doughnuts baby!
My favorite doughnut is peanutbutter filled!
A good friend turned me onto your site and I was instantly hooked! I have a hopeless sweet tooth and your articles, recipes and special finds are so wonderful!
I am a singer/songwriter with a husband, three kids, a day job and work weekends playing gigs. All three of our kids play and write music, as well as my husband…we stay pretty busy and there is always something going in the house!
When we’re home, I love to entertain…but I can’t limit my baking only to company…we almost always have cookies or brownies or something on the counter!
Your site keeps us inspired to try new things! Thank you!
~dixie~
Those look amazing!! My favorite guilty pleasure is Starbucks hot chocolate with whipped cream. :)
Love this post and doughnuts!!! Choclate frosted are my fav!!
So glad you’re feeling better!
What I am thankful for this Easter is our sweet Jesus! And my baby girl on the way!
Ooooh and a rare talent is saying the alphabet backwards-is that a talent?!
Happy Easter to all!
Love to you Bakerella!
I will tell you that my 3 year olds favorite donuts are little donut holes from a bakery that we have in town. My brother brought my kids some donuts by one day thinking he was being nice & Landon said, “but I like the little one’s the best”, lol. Such a sweet heart.
Oh & that oreo one looks AH-MAZING!!!!!!
I’ve never really had a “fancy” doughnut but all those looked deeelicous! Yum. I love good ol’ plain maple doughnuts. And jewelry. (;
How stinkin’ cute is that necklace!?
My favorite donuts are Pumpkin. I always look forward to them in the fall..
Who am I kidding I’ll eat ANYTHING pumpkin. You could probably put Pumpkin on Dog food and I’d eat it (Okay..maybe not that but …anything else LOL)
Easter will be split betweem two familys! Breakfast will be portabella mushroon eggs with hollenday sause, OJ, COFFEE and fruit and lunch will be lamb with mint jelly and the fixens!
Doughnut : Good old fashion is the Best
That necklace is too cute! I’d love to try those donuts.
My fav doughnut is sourdough and chocolate.
I am so anxious for the summer I could burst! I’ve had enough rain and snow for a life time!!
awesome necklace!!
I am Thankful for YOU!!! & each and every person that I am blessed with in my life throughout the years! your testimonies, along with many others is truly inspirational! Impulse buying is FUN!! glad you did, now someone will be blessed by it ;) *crossing my fingers* haha :)
Those donuts look delicious! And of course the necklace does, too. :)
Glad you are feeling better!!
Hope you will be enjoying Easter, I will be celebrating by eating sweets which I gave up for Lent!!
Happy Easter!!
My favorite guilty pleasure is cream cheese and whipped cream….that’s it. No cakey dessert under or over it. Yum!
Hi,
I think I own at least 50 pairs of shoes (trying to count in my head) counting boots and athletic shoes, flip flops (forgot flip flops till right now, make that atleast 60).
My husband thinks I’m nuts, and some may only get broken out occasionally, but a girl’s gotta have her shoes… AND a fuschia doughnut necklace of course!
Love your blog and hope you are feeling better!
That necklace is so sweet!!
I love doughnuts! I especially like ones with sprinkles. That S’mores doughnut looks amazing!
those have to be the best flavors of donuts ive ever seen! my last donuts were dunkin… gross.
I wish the doughnuts in the UK were more imaginative like the ones you bought :) That doughnut necklace is precious, I hope you enjoy wearing it.
PS, I don’t know if your competition is open to international readers… But I just thought I’d give it a go anyway. :)
Glad you’re feeling better. Was looking for some easter ideas, but now I’ve got a craving for doughnuts. Yumm!
I love the necklace!!
I am attempting my first cakepops for Easter since my two year old fell in love with them while I was visiting the site.
Hmmm. I own WAY too many shoes to even admit so I’ll stick to an easy one — favorite donut is from a place here in RI called “Allie’s donuts”. it’s a honey glazed donut topped with vanilla icing and multi-colored jimmies (or sprinkles for those not up here in RI) … anyway it’s pretty plain sounding but it is, by far, the best donut ever.
I love shoes, I have a fetish for shoes. I love this doughnut necklace. I’m on a diet right now and can’t eat doughnuts, but I could wear a cute one around my neck. So many entries, if I am lucky enough for you to pick me, and you read my comments. TIA, love your site. And, I have never won anything, really.
oh i want the doughnut necklace so bad! i love apple fritters and orange glazed doughnuts too.
My favourite doughnut would be the chocolate mint from Tim Hortons (limited time doughnut).
Delicious!
anything with sprinkles please!!
Hmm. Something about me? I …. am busy planning our new house, and I’m most excited about the kitchen. Is that wrong? hehhe.
We are going to spend Easter with my parents and siblings but this post reminded me I should get some glazed treats for Easter morning!
So glad you are better . . . playing Easter Bunny for the kiddos this weekend and making lunch as well . . . busy, busy, busy . . . . and loving every minute of it!!
I love donuts too! When I was a kid my brothers used to sell warm, glazed donuts by the bag going house to house for a local donut maker. They were soooo good! Not many people could resist!
My favorite doughnut is a cherry bismark from the Donut Bank in Evansville, IN.
My favourite donuts are from Honeys Donuts in North Vancouver (Deep Cove). If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, you have to make the trek because they’re phenomenal!
my favorite doughnut flavor is probably plain glazed. We don’t have any special doughnut shops around where I live. We only have one… Dunkin’ Donuts. Which is tasty, but mostly I prefer the glazed from our supermarket.
They’re amazing. :)
hmmmm…. Something about me? I get random cravings for donuts and coffee late at night. I think it’s from all those late night hang outs in high school where the donut shops were open 24 hours. I love cake donuts with coffee and the soft pillowy ones with milk!
i love love love jewelry and clothing featuring baked goods. in high school i was a bake sale connoisseur (well, we actually had cupcake-specific sales, just for the heck of it), and for my 16th birthday one of my friends bought me a cupcake-print tote bag. its one of my favorites.
and of course i love checking out all the great new recipes and ideas on your blog. happy spring =]
This Easter, I hope to spend a fun day with my nearly-89 year old grandfather. I am admittedly not very religious, but I accompany him to church every Sunday that he feels well enough to go. It means so much to him, and so much to me to spend the time with him that I can.
I don’t normally like doughnuts, but those look delish! Almost as tasty as that cutie-pie necklace….
Hope you’re feeling better
Thanks for a great gateway ;) My secret is that I love ‘sweet’ jewellery, just as this doughnut necklace. It’s too cute!
I’m terrified of water any deeper than 2 ft! Even if I can see the bottom. There make be sharks in there, or sunfish. :(
Also, the butter toffee and caramel apple fritter doughnuts look sooooooo good. I’ll have to take a vacation in Atlanta soon.
What a cute necklace, Bakerella! You are too generous! My favorite treat is a cupcake, but I think donuts like this could change everything :)
Ahh, I love Alice. I’m wearing a white rabbit t-shirt as I type!
Glad you are feeling better! Love the site and all the yummy food pictures!
Love your site! And I love the necklace! (thanks for the chance to win it!) Something about me… I’ve been cooking/baking since I was 2 (yikes! That’s 28 years!). My mom would let me sit on the counter and dump ingredients in for her. Since then, I’ve done a lot of it, including traveling to Mongolia to cook. :-)
My favorite donut is a glazed chocolate cake donut. Its so hard to find a good one!
I am grateful that I am a girl-y girl who married my dream boy and have two wonderful children! A beautiful girl who has her own creative mind and compassionate and makes me proud every second, and a boy who will grow up handsome and kind but not to shameful to be a mama’s boy a little longer.
Welcome back. We missed you. Love the necklace.
Shoes? Close if not 100. I have a serious problem.
That Oreo donut is cannot be for real. Even if I can’t have one right now I just like knowing it’s out there.
I’m going to make your easter basket cupcakes for easter! Can’t wait to try them!!!
I wanted to love Voodoo doughnuts in Portland, OR, but can’t. Greenbush Bakery in Madison, WI though, now they know how to make a fine doughnut.
Glad you’re feeling better. How’s Savannah?
