Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.
They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…
… unless you can read this.

If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.
Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…
… and sizes.
The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?
Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?
You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.
But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?
It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.
And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?
Don’t answer that.
And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.
More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.
However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.
I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.
And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.
Adorable.
But they don’t hold a candle to these…
Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.
You can even make your drinks look cute. Love these straws.

I visited this site after your candy button mold tutorial and purchased the mold along with several baggies. I can’t stop buying the chocolate candy flavorings! They make a great addition to many chocolate molds.

BOOKS! I decided a long time ago I didn’t need any more in that department for a while. The moratorium on buying books was supposed to give me a chance to work my way through the hundreds and hundreds of volumes on my shelves. Still, I keep amassing new ones from bookstores, flea markets, websites….

The things I cant stop bying is sprinkles. I buy it even if I don’t need any (because I already have ALOT of them). And I buy baking cups. You can never have to many baking cups, that’s my motto! And I always buy notebooks. I have almost 40 unused notebooks in my shelf. Eventually I’ll use them, I hope.

Okay, this is awful, but I buy sippy cups all the time. Crazy, I know. I only have 1 kid left who uses them and she is almost 4. I just can’t help it. When they come out with a new design or style , I MUST have it. I think I may be in denial that my kids are growing up…..

OMG! I wish I would have known about that site earlier. I so could have used those popcorn cups! My son wanted a circus themed birthday party and I thought about making popcorn themed cupcakes but instead we just did a variety of colors. Not nearly as cool.
Things I HAVE to have – really, anything for my kids! I have a really hard time turning away from anything cute for them!

As far as what I can’t stop buying — baby clothes. Well, I guess my daughter isn’t so much a baby anymore (she’s almost 22 months), but I still can’t stop! There’s too much adorable stuff out there, and she’s only gonna let me dress her for so long!
Speinkles!!!!! I have hundreds of different sprinkles. I have sometimes 3-4 bottles of the same sprinkles.
I even used sprinkles to help me stop smoking.
I promised myself a really nice bottle of sprinkles for every week I didn’t smoke. So far its working.

I can’t stop buying baking supplies I may never use! Before I left Japan, I ordered a bunch of paper chiffon/tube pans and loaf pans, thinking I would bake presents for people, but I just can’t bear the thought of using them! They’re so pretty, and more difficult to source in Canada. If I use them, they’ll be gone!

CHEAP STUFF… It could be totally unneccessary but I see something ridiculously cheap I feel the impulse to buy it. So walking by the $1 section at Target is always a real test for me :)
Hmm…let’s see. My cookbook shelve overfloweth. My bin of sprinkles can’t accommodate another bottle. (Which means I’m in trouble, because the summer-themed sprinkles will be calling my name very soon. I think I hear them now.) I like to buy those Wilton cookie cutters with the rubber grips. Thanks to Bakerella, I find myself buying specialty candies that I might use on cake pops someday. And as I learned when I cleaned out my deep freeze last fall, I have a serious collection of vegetarian fake meat products. Like whoa.
Bake It Pretty is also my addiction. I can’t stop buying everything. I don’t use most of it either. It’s just too cute!!

I can’t stop myself from buying lots of stuff, unfortunately, but lately it’s completely un-cupcake related. I’ve finally realized my daughter is old enough for pigtails and the like so I’m now addicted to little baby hairthings :)
I can’t stop buying Star Wars stuff. :) But since they don’t put out much baking stuff, I also can’t stop buying bunny and pumpkin related things. We’ve got pumpkin molds, pumpkin cupcake papers, pumpkin baking sheets, pumpkin silicon sheets, bunny cookie cutters, bunny baking sheets, bunny molds, more bunny molds… If it has a bunny or a pumpkin on it, it winds up in my shopping cart.

I can’t help but buy stuff for my horses. Like yesterday when I was at the coffee shop I just had to buy me a chocolate chip muffin and a carrot wheat one for my horse. She greatly enjoyed the muffin… and drinking the rest of my iced tea. So I spoil my horse a bit much.

Hm, lately I’ve been on a cupcake liner kick. I have boxes full! I can’t bake as fast as I accumulate liners. What else? I can’t stop buying hats! I don’t wear them very often, but I have oodles and can’t pass up a cute lid!

I love to buy clothes and gifts for my 2 daughters. I can’t stop myself..I’ll get $ or a gc for my bday or other holidays and I end up spending it on them :)!

This is totally unrelated to baking, but I can’t stop buying scrapbook stickers. They’re tiny and super cute and I use them for everything.
I’m a scrapbooking fanatic, but I also love baking. So when you combine those two and some little cake boxes, you can imagine that I go to town decorating the box for the cake, in addition to actually baking what’s inside! If only my Canon T2i wasn’t on backorder I might send you a pic!
Notebooks! I have big plans to use them for journaling, but then hate to use them because they’re so pretty. And yes, baking cups. Fortunately for me there’s not much to choose from locally, but I snarf up any new variety I come across. Me thinks it’s time for some online shopping therapy!

I can’t seem to stop myself from buying my niece adorable little shoes when I find them. I have two wonderful little boys, but I’m dying to have a girl, and so I spoil my niece. Just can’t stop when it comes to cute little shoes though!

Whenever I go to my decorating supply store I cannot stop myself from buying new types of sprinkles. And I always find the new must-have decorating tip. And of course new baking cups are always needed. When I get back home I almost never have what I went to buy in the beginning. But I always have ideas to work with the new items I bought.

I cant stop buying cookbooks! Desserts, Cupcakes, BBQ, Grilling, whatever the food type, I probably have a cookbook for it! I love them and they make me so giddy with excitement when I look at the pictures!

Clothes for my little toddler. I see all these cute little outfits and shoes, and it’s hard to say no and he looks so gosh darn cute in all of it.
I have the same “problem” with Bake It Pretty. Even if I’m only shopping to get a few black cupcake liners, I end up with a whole lot more. There’s just so much they offer that you can’t not get! :)
Oh my goodness! Those are the most adorable cupcake cups EVER! I could imagine spending as much money on those as I do makeup.I could probably max out a few credit cards if you left me alone inside Sephora. But I think that website might come in a close second.
Groceries…it’s just me, my husband and our 14 month old son in the house, but I find myself at the grocery, fresh market, or wholesale store every day.
I love to buy vintage Tupperware and glassware of all types. I love themed parties and I like to think of new ways to present food when we have a party! Vintage is always fun!

I can’t stop buying fabric, even though I rarely make anything with fabric anymore. I just keep accumulating it. I think its because I love colors and patterns.
I can’t stop buying old brooches from antique malls. I always imagine how beautiful the previous owner must have felt while wearing it, and the sentimentality FORCES me to buy them. Good thing they’re usually cheap!
I love buying fancy sparkling sugars, sprinkles and doodads to decorate with. I also have a thing for trays and tin cake plates with lids, you know the ones our grandmothers used? I always come home from yard sales with those. Oh, and old pyrex mixing bowls. I have way too many of those!

baking and decorating cookbooks… I can’t help it , I love them and have to have them. We have moved about four times in the last seven years and my collection continues to grow and grow. They are all very precious to me and I love being surrounded by them. Right now half of the books are still in boxes from our move in January . So we’re just waiting for my husband to figure out where we can get more shelves up for the rest of my books.
