Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.
They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…
… unless you can read this.

If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.
Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…
… and sizes.
The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?
Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?
You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.
But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?
It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.
And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?
Don’t answer that.
And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.
More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.
However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.
I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.
And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.
Adorable.
But they don’t hold a candle to these…
Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.

This is not cake or cupcake related (although I do seem to like everything that is cupcake related) but I recently discovered that you can get a huge bag of popcorn and a drink at the snack counter at Target for $1.50 and now I cannot stop myself from buying it. Anytime I come across any store related to cooking/baking I get sucked right in. Since I don’t live in the States anything cute that I run across I usually end up buying. It’s very rare to find anything “cute” when it comes to baking in Japan, since most birthday cakes here are just simply decorated with strawberries and chocolate writing…
Lately I’ve been making lots of cakes with cute sprinkles and small toys. Although you can’t eat the toys, they look so cute on the cake!

STATIONARY! I can’t help it! i love anything that comes in pretty colors, markers, staplers, notebooks, folders. It drives me nuts when I go in a store. Or different printed papers, that I never know what to do with and instead cover my coffee table with, or use as wallpaper. That and nailpolish.

I didn’t see the “I love chocolate” twist ties when I looked at her site last, they’re wonderful! I covet her cupcake liners, yes, and she has so very many wonderful things, but I really like her baking cups. They stand up on their own, come in great shapes (everything from loaves to a pretty star) and are quite convenient for people in tiny apartments with no storage – I simply don’t have room for a variety of metal mini-pans.

The button mold is so cute. My husband’s pet name for me is button – how appropriate. I just cannot stop buying cupcake decorating items, even if I don’t plan on using them anytime soon I stock up because I live in a small town where we don’t have a baking store and always end up not finding what I need when I am trying to do something special.

I cannot (and I do mean cannot) stop buying books. I have about 450 shelved in my dining room. I am constantly looking through the shelves of local used bookstores to add to my collection. I would say for ever 2 books I read, I buy 7 new ones. I just cannot get enough of reading and books, I’m constantly reading about the winners of book prizes and looking up new releases. I have a degree in creative writing so a good book is near and dear to me.

Wow ~ adorable! My weaknesses are cookbooks, baking supplies of all kinds, bags/carriers, etc. My list can go on and on. At one point it was vases because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE buying flowers. It was taking over so I had to get rid of them. Now my baking pans and supplies are taking over ~ YIKES! LOL

I recently started a baking business and have had to get shelves and storage bins and try to organize, it’s ridiculous, but I love keeping “supplies” on hand so when I get an order I don’t have to rush around trying to find the perfect container, packaging or themed “thing”. i love those mini cupcakes holder! i use them almost every single time i bake. it make them look so cute! i dont really use pans because they dont make it look good. aha. :D

I can barely ever stop myself from buying rubber ducks. Especially bath things.
In my bathroom I have:
30 something rubber ducks(including pirates, zombies, ninjas, cows, unicorns and more.)
A quacking duck trashcan
Duck bathmat
Ducky hand towels
Framed ducky pictures
Giant Rubber duck earrings.
And a soap dispenser….
It bugs the hell out of my sister. =)

I can’t stop buying a couple of things: strawberries (heaven!!) and purses. And random “cures” for my heel pain.

I can’t stop buying cookie cutters! Sometimes when I can’t sleep at night I shop for cookie cutters. I think Vera Bradley purses might run a close second. But, cookie cutters are just so much more affordable : )

Cupcake cases…oh dear god, they are my vice! I have about 500 of them. All different designs…problem is…I cannot bring myself to use ANY of them! They looks sooo pretty sitting in my cupboard I like to keep it that way!

Ok, impulse buying? Easy. 3/4 length sleeve shirts. I hate my arms, so whenever I see 3/4 length tees, sweaters, etc. they have to come home with me. Sadly, I’ve bought a ton I don’t like in colors I’ll never wear, but since they seem hard to come by this year, I have to have them. Now the challenge will be actually wearing some of them….eeep!

I used to HAVE to buy diapers every time I went to the store. Then, my kids started using the toilet, and shockingly enough, my addiction was broken!
Now, they suck all the energy out of me, so every time I pass a Starbucks, I need a Venti Tall Vanilla Latte.

I think it would have to be makeup, and food items for new recipes. It feels like I’m constantly at the grocery store picking up something for a new recipe.

I can’t stop buying my daughter clothes or shoes for myself (especially flip flops!!) it is crazy all that she has, my son on the other hand not so much! I also buy A LOT of scrapbook paper…even though I haven’t done it in a year or two. You never know when you might need it!
By the way just made popcorn cupcakes this weekend for my daughters birthday those holders would have been perfect!

WOW! I don’t know how I could pick ONLU $50 worth of goodies!!! I’d probably start with some food coloring, then move on to the sprinkles and edible glitter, then the cupcake wrappers…..and when it comes to things NOT on the Bake It Pretty site, I can’t stop myself from buying adorable shoes for my daughter that cost an arm and a leg!
