Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.
They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…
… unless you can read this.
or know where to find these.
If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.
Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…
… and sizes.
The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?
Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?
You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.
But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?
It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.
And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?
Don’t answer that.
And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.
More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.
However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.
I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.
And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.
Adorable.
But they don’t hold a candle to these…
Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.
You can even make your drinks look cute. Love these straws.

I love finding different baking accessories and recipes – I love to make sweets for people, especially for my children’s classmates, and for my husband to take to work. I love to make cupcakes for my children’s birthdays. For my son’s 4th birthday I got a plain white cupcake stand and lined it with checkerboard ribbon, used different colored scrapbook paper on the different levels , iced cupcakes w/blue, red, and chocolate icing, made little flags that said Happy Birthday and used Cars baking cups. I love to bake!!!
These are really cute baking accessories. I have a problem stopping myself from buying chocolate, shoes, or any combination of the two :) There’s this place near me that sells both and I can’t walk by too too often…

We have been doing bake sales for a school group my son is in, so I cannot stop buying stuff for the bake sales. Packaging, sprinkles, curling ribbon and tags.

I love different types of extracts (peppermint, strawberry, coconut) , although sometimes it takes a little bit of research to find a recipe i can actually use them for. But i always tell myself that i’ll find something somewhere, and i’ll be glad i have it on hand when i do. :-)

Wilton character pans. I rarely use them, but I keep buying them when I find them in thrift stores. Why oh why???? It’s so crazy, but I love buying and trying all sorts of sauces and condiments! The fridge must be half filled with jars and bottles. Hoisin, specialty mustards, special hot sauces, and more. It’s out of control!

My girls’ clothes. My 7 year old said to me one day, “Mom, your problem is that you buy too much.” She sure wasn’t saying that a few days later when I bought her more clothes. I also buy too many kitchen gadgets and cookbooks.

I have a tendency to buy lots of cake decorating items even though I rarely decorate cake. Its become an obsession. I will no longer go into a store that has baking supplies without going up and down the aisle a few times looking and looking at everything.

I love love love Bake it Pretty! As for things I can’t not buy… it would have to be candles. I have enough candles to light my house for years, and yet I keep buying more… it’s as if I’m expecting electricity to suddenly go out of style or some such :)
These are all so cute!! I have the gingham cupcake liners in pastels-pink, green, orange, yellow, and blue. I’m bummed that there is no purple in the package. I bought them at a Japanese store for about $1.50 for 30. Aside from cute cupcake liners, I cannot stop buying tuna. I love me some tuna sandwiches!!

I also once battled the same dysfunctional thinking around exercise videos – if I buy it I’ll lose weight! :) Needless to say, I have lots of organizational tools AND exercise videos….and very little results from either!

I love bags. I own tons of purses. My new obsession is eco-friendly reusable bags. I have enough to last a few lifetimes. I’ve been using canvas bags at the grocery stores for almost 15 years.
Well…I have a shopping problem when it comes to either cooking gadgets or crafts! All of the stuff from Bake It Pretty basically fills both of my desires….really cutesy, crafty stuff that has to do with cooking. What could be better???
I’m a sucker for things in cute packaging – sadly, it doesn’t even matter what it is…give me a cute bag with a bow, polka dots etc.. and I’m hooked! Now that I have a baby I don’t get to indulge anymore…I just drool.

As for what I can’t not buy, thrift store goodies are heaven. I found a pair of $10 high tops once that I couldn’t resist, along with a tiny clip-on tie.
