Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…

… and sizes.
The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?
Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?
You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.
But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?
It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.
And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?
Don’t answer that.
And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.
More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.
However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.
I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.
And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.
Adorable.
But they don’t hold a candle to these…
Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.

Oh my gosh I love the cups that look just like popcorn buckets. I have to have them. And the natural baking cups are awesome too, save the earth :) Plus all of the gourmet grinders— butterscotch and vanilla sugar, coffee and cardamom sugar, yumyumyum!

Basically, anything in Michaels, A.C. Moore etc And then I hoard them because when I use them then they’ll be gone – Dur! I need to finally do the lovely things I think of when I buy them instead of stockpiling them before I end up on A&E!

Food in general. Each week I make a list and mostly manage to stick to it, but then Ill get inspired and decide to make something over the top yummy and cute! I am no longer allowed in a Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics or Hobby Lobby because I used to by outrageous amounts of scrapbooking stamps. Food is my new craft addiction.

CookBooks. I have heaps of them! Never actually cook anything out of them…When I buy it I say to myself “I’ll cook heaps of these recipes, it’s much better than the last one, these recipes are good everyday type dinners” I could cook a new meal out of a cookbook everyday for the rest of my life and not get through them all. Oh well – they look pretty in the bookshelves.

I have the same issue. As a matter of fact, I bought some baking cups at a local shop last week just because they are cute. I really want to use them, but like you, I just can’t be without them. So, that’s what I do. I buy cooking/baking things that I probably don’t really need (like a Wustof Panini Knife… yep, bought it Saturday…).

i love the rice paper lanterns, i know, not exactly cupcake related, or even food related. But i would use them to decorate the house for the home coming of our daughter from China this fall. It’s a great site!
The cupcake liners you pictured are adorable! I seem to have an endless supply of napkins – solids, prints, patterns, etc. If I find a great price, I buy some; even if I don’t really need them.

I can’t stop myself from buying fresh food and produce at the Farmer’s Market in town… And I justify it by saying it’s food, and I need to eat! I can’t stop buying books for my daughter who is 3 1/2. We just started reading our first chapter book, Charlotte’s Web. I’m so thrilled to think that we can finally graduate to real stories that Mommy and Daddy will enjoy reading as much as she does!

DVD’s (used, at record stores/book stores/amazon), Heels (that I can’t walk in), stuff for $1 (seriously, Target’s $1 zone is addictive, and I can’t ever go to the dollar store to buy sponges -or whatever I went in to get- without spending at least $10 on junk. They recently got a huge shipment of Revlon makeup that I just had to buy, and little Dickies pencil pouches in really cute prints..) I buy a ton of makeup elsewhere too. Oh, and if there’s some awesome “gift with purchase” I just have to buy the amount worth of crap to get the gift (ULTA does this to me a lot, as does Lancome).
I used to buy fabric and other stuff to use with my sewing machine.. that I got for Christmas about 4 years ago.. and still have never used. Luckily, I stopped that.. but I do have a pretty big stockpile of stuff in my closet.

I love it all! I’d put real popcorn in the red/white stripe baking cups or make cupcakes with chocolate dipped popcorn on top! The gingham cups are just too cute. Heck, I like them all. My kids get thrilled when we make cupcakes, it means they get to help and decorate them!
Lately, I have not been able to control my baking supply shopping. There are so many adorable cookie cutters and various accessories (I even ordered the cupcake cookie cutter you featured). When I’m not in baking mode, I buy nail polish. I have sooo many bottles and they are all OPI.

I’m really, really bad when it comes to books. I just can’t help it. I work at a book store I usually end up with coming home with four or five books a week. Oh, and Records. I have a record collection of about 600 LPs and tons of 45s. It drives my boyfriend crazy because our living room has basically been taken over by my books and records.
I just can’t stop buying cute baking cups! Every holiday, every season, every style; I just have to have them all!
I seriously cannot stop myself from buying anything Frog or cupcake related. It’s seriously an addiction that cannot be helped at this point – literally I have so much on my desk at work that I had to put up a shelf on the wall just so I could do my paperwork. I have trickets, stamps, paperweights, stuffed animals, picture frames…you name it, I have it. Though I don’t have any of those cute cupcake necklaces from a few weeks ago…or that adorable purse :)
I can’t keep from buying school supplies. There are so many great innovative things out there!

They are all soooo adorable. I think it would have to buy the damask print cupcake cups. They are so elegant and colorful. They would be perfect for my tea parties.
I love to make cards and everytime a new “batch” of pretty paper comes out, I just “have” to have it. Yikes! I won’t ever have to buy a card again – just need TIME to use up all the paper. It’s SO pretty…………………. Your description of buying baking cups sounded very familiar.

As for things I have to buy, I walk into Whole Foods, and honestly, it’s like I’m a drug addict. I want to buy all of the italian sodas and bunny shaped cereals. Also, lately I can’t stop buying different versions of tetris games, I have 3 right now and am on the prowl for more.
I can’t stop buying bakeware. I really need that Cakewich mold!

i gotta say i am uncontrolled when it comes to things with polka dots (things like, y’know, baking cups!), and also brush pens for drawing.

I have a thing for novelty sodas. If I’m walking through the grocery store and see something neon blue and bubbly I just can’t help myself. This just might be the year that I break down and buy a Thanksgiving flavor pack from Jones Soda Co.

Coffee. I am an addict, no hope for me. Every kind of coffee. Each type of coffee and every method of preparation. I love the smell, the taste … but also taste the different qualities and mix coffee with spices as they do in the Orient! Like coffee with cardamom … YUM!
Anything cupcake related!! My cousin got me the betsey johnson cupcake necklace you posted back a couple months for my birthday and i have a tiny bakery out of my home. I literally can not walk into a store and not look for something cupcake related!! I think my husband is going to send me to cupcake rehab!!
ohhhh my goodness!!! I am drooling over the cupcake paper cups- especially the staybrite monkeys, victorain in black AND red, Red swirl and dashing dots! oh and the pirates! SO CUTE! I also love all the sprinkles and the mini square baking pans! LOVE their stuff!!
Oh my gosh, everything is so cute!!! My guiltiest pleasure is to go to Paper Source and buy up a whole bunch of random stuff I dont and wont ever need: various envelopes, stamps, glitter, ribbon, basically a whole lot of pretty things that shine and force me to buy them.
i cannot stop buying ballet flats. the more ridiculous the pattern or color, the better. and yarn. i hoard yarn like no other. so many ideas for projects that i end getting overwhelmed and the yarn often just sits there looking pretty…i should turn my craft closet into a yarn-viewing museum and charge admission.

I cant stop buying Jars/containers and Candy. I love to see your ideas and those in other books. It has caused me to see different candy and use them when decorating my goodies. I love looking at clear jars filled with m&m’s and little spice jars with sprinkles. I love my “candy” spice rack!

Oh wowzers! That site is awesome! I can’t resist the decorations, especially the ring toppers! I will have to get the Sesame Street ring toppers for my son, Hello Kitty for my daughter, Batman for my husband, and Wonder Woman for myself! Love it! :) And thankfully they ship to APO addresses!
