Stuffs

IMG_6193

Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

**Warning… enter their site at your own risk or else you might just leave it with a whole bunch of stuff you didn’t know you had to have…

IMG_6274

… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.

They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…

IMG_6277

… unless you can read this.

IMG_6278

or know where to find these.

IMG_6253

If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.

IMG_6207

Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…

IMG_6255

… and sizes.

The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?

Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?

You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.

IMG_6214

But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?

It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.

And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?

Don’t answer that.

IMG_6280

And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.

IMG_6235

More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.

However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.

IMG_6263

I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.

IMG_6238

And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.

Adorable.

But they don’t hold a candle to these…

IMG_6240

Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.

IMG_6224

You can even make your drinks look cute. Love these straws.

If you want to see them in action, check out how good they look with Tartelette’s ice cream sandwiches. Not that her pictures aren’t already perfection.

IMG_6286

And look, a button mold.

I had to have one of these, too. You know – just in case I ever want to make my own candy button display like this one.

IMG_6288

P.S. – I may or may not have also purchased these not exactly kid friendly candies. But, if I did – the website made me do that, too.

Want to pick out your own stuff?

Want me to foot the bill?

Okay, you talked me into it.

I always plan on sending out cute little notes with cute little stickers on cute little paper… The problem is, it’s so cute, I save it for the “perfect” occasion, which NEVER seems to come. 157. Bake It Pretty has some of the cutest baking products ever!

I have a serious addiction to anything related to baking or knitting/crocheting. Seriously, I cannot go anywhere near stores that sell these things without a)spending hours just mulling through everything in the store and b)spending all of my money.

Aww, darn! Now I need the Lucky Strikes Candy Smokes. They are so cute!

I compulsively buy craft supplies. It doesn’t hurt that I love crafting all sorts of strange and interesting things, but I think I can go overboard on occasion. :P

  164. I can’t stop myself from buying anything to do with cake decorating such as: sprinkles, colored sugar, decorating tips, gel paste coloring, cupcake liners, ANY flavor of extract etc. I also have some type of wrapping paper and ribbon fetish – I can’t stop buying those items either.. I have actually incorporated the two fetishes and used gift wrap to cover a cake board, then plastic wrap. You can match any party theme this way… Love your site, hope I win!

  165. I cannot stop buying chocolate covered cinnamon bears! If they are at the store I always buy a few!

  166. Everytime I visit my craft store for baking needs, I can NEVER stop myself from buying sprinkles. I love them all! sugar pearls, crystal sugar, nonpareils…the list never ends! My favorite types are the different shaped ones, such as dinosaur or butterfly shaped sprinkles. So cute!

  167. i can’t stop buying clothes!

  168. shoes!! ; )

  169. shoes. salsa – honestly it doesn’t matter if I have 3 jars in the pantry, if I’m at the grocery store I grab a jar of salsa. and cooking magazines — especially themed ones that give me cute food craft ideas for holidays.

  170. I love all craft and baking items. If I start a new type of project (baking or non-baking), I want to make sure I have all the gadgets/tools that I might need–note I said might!

  171. I’m addicted to buying serving pieces like bowls and platters. Just love the shapes and colors they come in. Can’t get enough of them!

  172. I buy cookbooks.

  173. I love all of their stuff!! I really want some of the button molds!!!

  174. I can’t stop buying baking tools! Mind you, I’m in culinary school so I can claim it all as “professional tools” so no one gives me too much grief. But I just can’t get enough icing colours, piping tips, baking cups and just about any other tool I can get my hands on.

  179. Oh…my….goodness! I never knew cupcake wrappers this cute existed!!

I can’t stop myself from buying kitchen gadgets. If you name it, I either have it or need it :-)

  180. I have a hard time not buying pretty paper. Of course, that isn’t the only thing I have a problem not buying, but I don’t think I have enough space to go into all of it. :-)

  181. I cant stop myself form buying stickers. Lots and Lots of stickers..!!! That I never use…but <3!

  182. Oh, goodness. I might just have to have several of these items for upcoming catering events. Wish I’d seen it in time for the kids’ buffet dinner I did this weekend. Could have spend a bundle!!

  183. I LOVE this stuff! I am a compulsive ribbon and stationary buyer. I love ribbon, fortunately I have no trouble using it. Pretty paper, on the other hand, I have to look at for a while before I can write on it! I think I would be feeling the same way about the red and white striped cups …..

  184. I don’t think I could ever have too many lenses for my camera! Or too many cameras!

  185. Oh wow! There is definitely some fantastic stuff on Bake It Pretty. I often have no control when it comes to baking paraphernalia – be it pans or crazy ingredients or sprinkles. I’ve been itching to buy that vintage button mold for, oh, probably a year or so! And they’ve got the giant round pastry tip I wanted for making macrons… And some glorious striped tape… And butterfly cookie cutters…

  186. I can’t stop buying cooking/baking magazines. If it has a yummy picture on the cover, it’s mine.

  187. I have been to that site. I’ve gotten the button molds and the bags. I can’t stop myself when it comes to cupcake liners, so no, I do not think you are weird. I missed the little ones that look like popcorn buckets. UGH, too cute. I would have to get cute adorable packaging, too. I just can’t stand to go there, I want want want. Thaks for doing this giveaway.

  188. Wow. All of those are adorable! Let’s see, I can’t stop myself from buying more and more boots. Shoes obsessed? Definitely. :P But I also really love buying lots of random cute trinkets, like “I Love Egg” and other cute things. XD

  189. Ah – well – the truth is I like to buy stuff for my 2 year old (books, toys, clothes) and…books in general. Often cookbooks – but just something new to read always sucks me in….

  190. Thread. Spools and Spools of thread. Oh, and fabric, too. I’m only a beginning seamstress, but I have a life supply of fabric in my closet just waiting to be turned into something :)

  191. I think I would like of EVERYTHING! LOL- seriously cute stuff!

  192. I’m can’t control my spending impulses when it comes to cookbooks and specialty chocolate bars. I want to try them all. It’s a dangerous addiction. And it drives my husband crazy.

  193. There are so many cute things I can not choose, but those cupcake papers are the best!

  194. I can never pick just one baking cup, but my real weakness seems to be the twine. Why I don’t know, but I love the blue and the red twine!

  195. Lately it’s been diet coke, in the cute little bottles. Not sure why!

  196. I just can’t stop myself from buying funky socks. Or as I was told by some kids at the daycare I work at “Kids socks” LOL. I love the bright funky colors.

  197. I absolutely cannot stop myself from buying cute little pins. I find so many at craft fairs and little indie stores! I have a whole messenger bag covered in them, and that’s not even all I have!

  198. I cannot pass up a pair of earring!!! Especially the sets that have at least 3 pairs in three different colors. I have 2 sets of earrings that are different colored balls, you know like green, blue, black, brown. I have the frosted set and the solid set. There is on particular store in the town where I live and they have a killer dollar jewlery sections and I ALWAYS come out of there with a pair of earrirngs, at least one. I seriously have at least one pair to match whatever color I happen to have on that day. I also sometimes match my headbands to what I’m wearing. So I always have matching earrings and headbands but I can’t live without the earrings. If they don’t match I feel naked!!
