Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.
**Warning… enter their site at your own risk or else you might just leave it with a whole bunch of stuff you didn’t know you had to have…
… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.
They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…
… unless you can read this.
or know where to find these.
If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.
Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…
… and sizes.
The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?
Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?
You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.
But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?
It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.
And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?
Don’t answer that.
And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.
More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.
However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.
I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.
And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.
Adorable.
But they don’t hold a candle to these…
Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.
You can even make your drinks look cute. Love these straws.
If you want to see them in action, check out how good they look with Tartelette’s ice cream sandwiches. Not that her pictures aren’t already perfection.
And look, a button mold.
I had to have one of these, too. You know – just in case I ever want to make my own candy button display like this one.
P.S. – I may or may not have also purchased these not exactly kid friendly candies. But, if I did – the website made me do that, too.
Want to pick out your own stuff?
Want me to foot the bill?
Okay, you talked me into it.

I don’t generally have one item or types of items I can’t stop myself from buying but I do have a store I frequent waaaaay too often. . .Target! I would keep those liners in my cupboard just to look at them too.
Vintage Made in Japan knick knacks.
They have to have orange, blue, yellow, red and green paint.
I just think they need to be ‘saved’
I LOVE cookie cutters, but really anything that will make something cute I am a sucker for. That is why I know I can’t go to that site, it will not end well for my bank account :).
Just so beautiful! I can’t wait to order some of these cupcake cups!
Oh goodness, I’ve been resisting from buying their entire inventory for a year or so now. Now you’re making me pick?!?!
I definitely would love to have the button mold, because that was the first thing that led me to them. Then, I’d love the chocolate & cinnamon sugar grinder, for those mornings when I need a good piece of cinnamon toast to get my day started (have you seen PW’s post today?!?!) I definitely cannot live another year without their best ever cupcake icing kit, or their japanese masking tape and baking twine….
I cant stop buying baking books, or, I wouldnt if I had money…>_<
Fabric! I am obsessed! =-)
Wow, I love The Bake it Pretty site (almost as much as I love your projects!) What fun to have the gift certificate to work on some of the projects you have done. It would be hard to decide what to buy, defnitely the twine. I REALLY want the button molds too!!! Thanks for sharing your great projects!
So cute. I can’t stop buying pajamas, especially the cute and colorful kind!

Once again, you found the cutest stuff!!! Cute and on-clearance is the combination I can never seem to pass-up buying! TJ Maxx is the best place for that combo! :)
I can’t stop buying things off of etsy!!! So many cute handmade things that I have convinced myself I will give away to friends, but in reality they will have a nice little spot to live in my house….
Love that site! I really want the best ever cupcake icing kit.
I can’t stop myself from buying baking stuff.
Skirts! Cheap, summery, swirly ones from Target and Old Navy. I have a weakness.
These are so so cute! Looking at all the adorable photos makes me want to bake!
Baking aisle in the grocery is my best friend. I buy mostly flour, flour and more flour and of course, whatever I can find.
The suitcases!
The cupcake wrappers! Yes. All of them.
The sweet flower baking cases and vintage paisley cupcake cases.
The powder pink candy boxes and choc. brown baker’s twine.
For me, it”s all about the packaging!
Oh, and the seahorse cutter that is sold out! );
I can’t stop buying cookbooks. It’s the one thing I collect! I have about 50 and I’m actually going to go to Borders in a minute to see what else they have added to their discount section.
I can’t stop buying cookbooks! If I cooked one thing a day for the rest of my life…They would last a lifetime…..and my daughter’s lifetime……and my granddaughter’s……and my great grand…….well, you get my point!
Adorable stuff never seen around these parts! I’ll learn to be a better baker with these adorable molds, twine, tape and muffin cups! Hmm – what do I buy lots of… things for my granddaughter!
a few things i can’t stop purchasing are: items for the kitchen, shoes and jeans!
Recipe books. Not full blown cookbooks, but the little grocery checkout line recipe books. They’re so colorful and full of delicious stuff to try, I swear they just jump off the rack and onto the conveyor belt. :)
These cupcake papers are super cute…I have a real hard time passing up anything cake and cupcake related.
I have so many wonderful ideas now that I’ve seen that website! I have a hard time not buying chocolate or baked goods. I go grocery shopping, intending to buy things for dinner and I come home with cookies and cakes and who knows what else! At least we’re always ready for guests :)
Hope they ship to England!
I just can’t stop buying packs of pretty paper napkins. I just love them, they aren’t for using, because I might need them for something more important. I tidied my pantry a few weeks back and found so many I had to tell DH to stop me buying them when I am out. lol
Oh my goodness. You are right. Their stuff is to die for.
I also have a hard time turning down cute baking items, and it’s nearly impossible to use them! Also, I have a problem with office supplies…pretty markers, pens, pencils, dry erase markers, or the decorater paper clips and what-not. I can never leave an office supply store empty handed!
I can’t stop myself from buying my dog toys. She rips through stuffed toys in less than 5 minutes but when she’s at the pet store and picks up a toy and sits and looks at me with those eyes I can’t say no. I have a feeling I’m in trouble when I have kids.
I cannot stop buying anything Martha Stewart related. I go into Michael’s hoping there is something I haven’t already purchased, but no, I have everything!
I have a sprinkle addiction. Some part of my brain thinks I can never have enough, every sugar color I can find, sprinkles that look like animals, numerous color combinations of jimmies, lovely lustrous peals, and of course crunchy nonpareils.
My collection needs it’s own containment, the pantry can not hold them.
I can’t stop buying costume jewelry or European chocolate! I swear, I see a little “sale” tag on the shelf at the grocery store and that chocolate bar is MINE!
I. LOVE. BAKEITPRETTY.
every time I go to the site, my cart ends up being anywhere from $50-100 and I have to cut it down to almost nothing or else I’ll go broke!
don’t even get my started on shoes. I’ve considered sending shoe stores my photo and tell them I’m banned so I can’t shop there. But then I couldn’t shop there!!!!
Those are soooo cute.
I can’t stop buying cookie cutters/supplies. I’m afraid to go to JoAnne’s or Michaels

i spent my saturday in a restaurant supply store… amazing!
WOW great giveaway! Decorating baked goods is half the fun! Let’s see…currently I can’t stop buying chocolate. Or oranges…but i suppose they balance one another out right?
I can’t stop buying postcards! II use them to send cards through postcrossing.com, to my friends, family, everybody! I have about 200 cards in stock at the moment, I can probably start my own card shop ;).
What awesome and super fun things they have there! I bet they have tons of colored sugars too – love those! What ese do I love to buy? Home ‘stuff’, candles, serving dishes, seasonal kitchenware….I wish I had millions of dollars so I could buy everything I want whenever I want :-)
I have a weakness for ceramics…bowls, pitchers, plates, vases. I especially like vintage pieces that have a lot of character. :) Thanks for the great giveaway! I could get in trouble in a store like that ! :)
OPI nail polish! I love every color, and ULTA has them buy two get one free! I mean, owning dozens of unopened bottles of nail polish is completely normal… Right?
Thanks for the giveaway! That stuff is too cute!
You’re right — this site is dangerous! I would stock up on all things red for my sister’s high school graduation party this summer. I want red baking cups and red doilies and red twine. Love!
I’m crazy in love with jimmies and nonpareils! I melt over watching my toddler sprinkle mad-style over freshly baked and iced cupcakes! Having a drawer filled with them is a bit much, isn’t it? Just adds to the insane dream of being able to bake like bakerella! ;)
Oh, man. I’m in trouble. I’m gonna have to take out a second mortgage to buy all the stuff I find adorable there…
I’m a total sucker for cute ways to package baked gifts – papers, bags, stickers, twine, mini pans……
cds!! i know i should buy mp3s like all the other normal 25 yos out there, but it turns out i’m a collector and i just can’t stop!!
I can’t seem to stop myself from buying almost ANYTHING from Target – shoes, clothes, bakeware, makeup, I want it all!
i can’t help but buy citrus fruit. i’m a sucker for ALL kinds of lemons, limes, oranges, anything with zest!
(and after that… dresses with ribbons and frills)
I have a thing with pretty paper…I don’t want to use it I just enjoy looking at it…
Looks like tons of fun!
I’m a sucker for all things gardening and DVD’s. I can’t stop myself!
Wine!! I know I should probably give it up if I EVER want to lose weight, but I always have to have my daily glass of wine :)
Cupcake liners are a weakness… There is a cute little kitchen store here & I’ve been known to stop in drop a $100 on cupcake liners that I “just had to have” :)
I love it all! I will definately need to order some stuff for my daughter’s 2nd birthday!
Oh man is this the greatest shop ever! Can I just say I like to shop? No? Ok, well then, lately I’ve been all about shopping for curtains and more kitchen stuff.
I can’t stop from buying, all the stuff for bake, bake , bake, bake!!!
Oh my goodness!!! I love that store! I cannot keep myself from buying clothes – even if I don’t need something, I can justify my purchase somehow – haha!
Bakerella,
You need to come over to my house and look at the giant section of my pantry that is now dedicated to my Bake It Pretty “collection”. Oh, I definitely do use SOME of the items on a regular basis. But, like you, there are some things that I just can’t quite bring myself to part with just yet. I have SO many baking cups and cupcake toppers and straws and packaging supplies that I’ve purchased over the years (has it been two yet? three?) since I first met Amanda when she only had an Etsy shop and wasn’t even yet Bake It Pretty. I am so very happy for her success. You’ve gotta figure that a person who has an affinity for adorable baking supplies and whatnot has just got to be awesome. And she is. I would love to win this giveaway! My husband would be so thankful – maybe he could spend the Bake It Pretty budgeted money toward something for him this time around ha ha ha ;)
Blessings, Susan
I can’t resist earrings. Despite owning in the neighborhood of 350 pair, I still routinely buy more.
Also?: chocolate. I can be fully stocked for two months, and yet… I buy another bar/bag of something *just in case* I need this specific item soon-ish.
I’m addicted to mountain dew!
LOVE these!! They are so cute.
I can’t stop myself from buying bags and purses. It’s a problem. Even more of a problem since I live in a fairly small apartment, and I’m running out of storage space.
Oh lord- I would go crazy with the cookie cutters. I know I don’t need them…who am I kidding…I NEED them!!!!!!!
I can’t stop buying sprinkles and different types of chips. Chocolate peanut butter are a fave, but I love white chocolate too.
Baby stuff. I keep telling myself that when he’s here (4 days and counting…) I’ll stop, but who knows. Oh, and I compulsively shop craigslist for goats. We have a small herd and we’re addicted. I can’t resist giving an adorable, sweet doe a home on our farm. And fortunately (though frustratingly) my husband can resist and reminds me that we have 2 more sets of babies coming on top of our own baby. He’s always so practical!
Shoes..
and anything mango! At one point I had dried mangoes, mango juice, fresh whole mangoes, and mango candy!
I have a week spot for cupcake papers. I think the folded ones are cute for muffins.
I have to buy fabric! Fabric, Fabric, Fabric! I don’t know why, I never get around to what I want to do with it, but I see it, my imagination runs wild and next thing you know, I’m over run with a closet full of potential!
I am definitely with you on the cupcake liners! I drool over those almost daily I swear! I am in college and live in a dorm sans an oven! Its a crime against humanity. However I will be back to my large, stainless steel beast soon enough!
I can’t stop buying anything food related:(
i cant stop buying things from dollar sections. all kinds of junk… er, i mean treasures. picture frames. gadgets. notepads. headbands. it’s bad.
I can’t keep myself from buying baked goods. Never mind that I love to bake at home…when I see something new or different in that bakery counter, I have to try it. I have more half-eaten cake slices in my freezer than I can count because I’ll usually have a taste then put the rest away “for later”. By the time it is “later”, I’ve bought something else to try!
Sooo cute! Right now I’m obsessed with cupcake liners!! I made cupcakes over the weekend and while buying the ingredients, I had to buy 3 different types of cupcake liners. They’re so cute!
I love buying books!! It is soo fun to see to learn new ideas from them and look at pictures!! I also buy sooo many cookie cutters!!! I have too many!! They are taking over my closet!! I also love sprinkles!! They are great for everything!! ANd soo fun!!!
Love that site!!! I’ve been pretty good lately. But scrapbook stuff is my weakness. Pretty papers and all those sparkly embellishments…..
Cookbooks! I can’t stop buying cookbooks. Well maybe baking books would be a more accurate description. And I have you to thank in part Bakerella! When you had cookie swap up here a few weeks ago I looked at that … then ended up buying it along with Cookie Craft and Classic Pastry Techniques! My oh my!
Whenever I get a new “project” to do I can’t stop shopping for that one particular project. For instance, your cake pops. That was my new project a few weeks ago and I have bought every color candy melts, sprinkles, cookies, anything needed to get them done, I’ve bought…..in abundance!
I can’t stop myself from buying fabric. It’s bad; I may need a 12-step program. :)
I can’t stop buying sewing stuff – just got myself a dress form!
I love baking cups, candy molds, fun ribbons…..treat tags and labels. I love it all!
I can’t stop myself from buying any new flavor of ice cream by Blue Bell. It’s bad.
from this site? things to make delivering treats to my husbands office even more fun – twine, liners, boxes, bags.
in general? tiny baby clothes for my new son!
Everything is just too cute! I’ve gotta have some!!
There are two things that I love buying cookie cutters and scrapbook paper. I don’t like to use my paper I just like to look at it and love it.
I can never pass up a cute cake stand.
I cannot stop myself from buying cute cake and cupcake pans! I mean anytime I see one I just gotta have it. I have so many pans–my husband just rolls his eyes. Then I remind him of all his tools…. :-)

I like all things tiny & cute. And I heart the popcorn liners & tartlet liners. So cute. I make muffins in mini form now for my kiddos who just want a little, but through a day and one huge muffin is way too big. So cute. And mini-muffins in the freezer. Fun stuff.
Can’t stop buying hair products hoping that something will keep my curls straight and unfrizzy. Cute little things for my two girls. So many cute things out there for kiddos that it is hard not to gobble it up.
I can’t help myself when it comes to holiday decorations… any and every holiday!! I also am a sucker for lip gloss and kitchen gadgets. I don’t believe you can have too many of any of this stuff!! I don’t even know if that last sentence made sense, but you feel me??
I just LOVE all these cute baking things…
I am uncontrollable in a fabric store. I have been known to leave with 1/2 yard remnants from 20 fabrics because I find them so delicious. If only I quilted.
Now I just have to figure out how to retire early so I’ll have time for all the baking I want to do with these.
I just cannot resist the different types of shapes and sprinkles! I am always picking up a jar here and there… my hubby is quite annoyed by the collection…LOL
I HAVE to have the gingham cupcake wrappers and the cute ties. I have been making LOTS of cute cupcakes lately and trying to find papers to match is a daunting task!!! I also would love to have the button mold to make some of the buttons – my friends would LOVE those!!! Oh, I’ve had such a rotten morning that seeing all this baking naughtiness makes me think that there still might be something right in the world today!!!
I love those ones that look like little popcorn tubs. So cute!!
I can’t help myself when it comes to confetti. I love the stuff. I know it makes messes, but there are just sooo many different kinds and colors and shapes and sizes.
I used to put tons of it in cards, tables, everywhere! But now, I just horde them. I have boxes of this stuff. I can’t pass it up, especially if it’s on sale!
Anything cute or on sale. I love the cute stuff in this post–I wouldn’t have been able to pass it up, either.
First off, I have to tell you this is my fave site and it’s SOOOOO hard to wait until Mondays to see the next post!! :D
So as for things I can’t stop buying… umm, it’s pretty much everything. LOL I have purchased an entirely new wardrobe in the last 2 years, I have just about every kitchen gadget you could imagine, I buy movies and books all the time, I’m a little obsessed with jewelry and anything from Sephora… I’m an online shop-a-holic, there are always empty boxes strewn around the house! ;)
I would have to say the things I absolutely cannot stop myself from buying are pj pants and stripey socks. I have a whole hamper FULL of striped knee socks, I just love them! As for the PJ pants… I could wear a different pair every night for probably 2 months and still have some to spare!! ;)
I can’t stop buying paper, all kinds of paper. Stationary, scrapbooking paper, card stock… the list goes on!
craft things…
I can’t stop buying clothes, shoes, bows, etc for my 9 month old baby girl! When I go shopping for myself, I really need new clothes after being pregnant and having a baby ya know, but I end up spending all my money on her! I now know why my parents never bought new clothes very often. ;)
So Cute! They are adorable! I can’t resist good stationary or a thank you card. I obsessively look and buy, but I’m great with old school corresspondence!
I cant tear myself away from that website!!! omg!!!
I have an issue with candy stores. Thankfully we don’t have much selection where I live, but when we head out of town to go shopping, the first stop I make is the candy store that sells retro candies & stuff that is usually only available in the US (why they think Canadians and Americans need/like different candy & chocolate bars is beyond me!!!). They also have a large selection of organic and locally made items!
I can’t keep myself from buying matching outfits for my 2 little girls!! But I would love to have some of those adorable cupcake wrappers!! :)
my weakness are shooooes!
I love buying baking supplies, I’m obsessed with cupcakes. Different shaped cupcake pans, cookie cutters, molds. So much fun.
I love all the cupcake liners, especially since my 4 year old daughter loves cupcakes, and love to help bake them with me :)
I buy all craft items…Its crazy really…my office is over run with stuff I have to have and then as soon as I have it…there is something eles I have to have….and now I have to have pretty cupcake cups…in all shapes and sizes…Thanks!!! =;0)
I’m addicted to buying (and not necessarily using): cupcake baking cups, fabric, pens, and anything that’s $1. It’s a problem…
