Stuffs

IMG_6193

Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

**Warning… enter their site at your own risk or else you might just leave it with a whole bunch of stuff you didn’t know you had to have…

IMG_6274

… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.

They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…

IMG_6277

… unless you can read this.

IMG_6278

or know where to find these.

IMG_6253

If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.

IMG_6207

Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…

IMG_6255

… and sizes.

The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?

Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?

You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.

IMG_6214

But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?

It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.

And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?

Don’t answer that.

IMG_6280

And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.

IMG_6235

More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.

However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.

IMG_6263

I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.

IMG_6238

And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.

Adorable.

But they don’t hold a candle to these…

IMG_6240

Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.

IMG_6224

You can even make your drinks look cute. Love these straws.

If you want to see them in action, check out how good they look with Tartelette’s ice cream sandwiches. Not that her pictures aren’t already perfection.

IMG_6286

And look, a button mold.

I had to have one of these, too. You know – just in case I ever want to make my own candy button display like this one.

IMG_6288

P.S. – I may or may not have also purchased these not exactly kid friendly candies. But, if I did – the website made me do that, too.

Want to pick out your own stuff?

Want me to foot the bill?

Okay, you talked me into it.

  1. i cant stop myself from buying scrapbook supplies stuff.
i have a closet full of papers, stickers, and other crafty items.

  2. Adorable!!

I can’t stop buying baking supplies of any kind — pans, cupcake cups, decorator tips — I only took up baking about a year ago, and for most of that time I was working out of 1 bowl for everything, so I’m not-so-slowly building up my supplies.

  3. Just what I needed….more things I didn’t know I couldn’t live without!!!! Her site is too much…too much adorable and cute and tempting, and…..well, I think you get it!

  4. I love kitchen tools!!! Even if I only use them a couple times!

  5. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This site is super dangerous!
I also have a serious problem with collecting (not really using) cupcake liners! I’m also a sucker for sprinkles, although I actually use them… on EVERYTHING :-) I love it when you give things away :-)

  6. For me it’s just like you: baking accessories. It’s not even just the paraphernalia for me, I also go way overboard on ingredients. I have more types of flour than I even know what to do with. And I also delve pretty far into the world of cooking gadgets. My fiance keeps telling me I need to edit my collection before we move in together, but I just can’t part with anything!!

  7. Right now because I have a baby due in a week and I half I can’t stop buying things for the baby!!

  8. Clothing. Nonstop. :)

  9. So cute! I need some “cuteness” in my life.

    Thanks!

  10. I am completely ridiculous when it comes to shaped cake pans. The big cupcake, the gingerbread man, a christmas tree, a ghost, a bunny, icecream cones, a heart….you see it’s crazy but now I have my eye on the big sandwich pan :)

  11. Electronics…. I can’t help buying some new toy couple times every year. That’s one of the problems with growing up in a tech-savy home!

  12. I am addicted to trying different dark chocolates and vintage bakeware! Odd combo, I know.

  13. Lately, I can’t go to the grocery store without buying some kind of fancy cheese. They are so delicious, and I want to try them all!

  14. I buy way too much paper/note cards and dark peanut M&Ms. I can’t stop!

  15. I buy a lot of seasonal baking items, I bake a lot at holiday’s even the little one’s, so I buy the cupcake wrappers, cookie cutters, icings, sprinkles anything holiday related and then I buy more when they go on clearance.

  16. Oh my gosh! I couldn’t believe how much stuff I liked on the site, you were right! But I narrowed down one practical thing and one “just-because-it’s-awesome” thing. The practical are the animal print baking cups. They’re amazing and I have a friend who’d die if I made her cupcakes in those! The “just-because” thing is the package of toast bandages. So random, but so hilarious!…and now that I think about it, I guess kind of practical too!

  17. I’ve always wanted a cupcake stand, and there are way too many cupcake liners and cookie cutters I would love to have.

  18. Cupcakes, cookies… seriously, I can’t resist baked goods. It’s a problem. ;)

  19. I can’t stop myself from buying stuff on groupon. I love that website!

  20. Jewelry. I’m a sucker for anything sparkly!

  21. I can’t stop buying chocolate. I am a serious chocoholic. I just bought a chocolate chip cookbook (in the bargain book section!), and I can’t wait to get home for summer break (I’m a college student) to use it. I’m sure my family will be willing to taste test. =)

  22. Love this stuff! The website it making me buy things too!!! I think it is possessed. Lol

Love your site too -thanks for all the great ideas!

  23. The site is fabulous. I fell in love with the MERMAID and CIRCUS themed cupcake kits. They made my heart smile. :o)

  24. Can you say “like a kid in a candy store”? There is some much to look at and so much to want and buy. I guess I’m just going to have to get a loan from my bank!

  25. Like some others here, I have a very hard time going into a Target without leaving with something. Lately, it’s been flowers and gardening stuff.

  26. oh my…. How stinkin cute! I love it all. I have a crafting addiction. I buy everything… Lately it has been all about cake balls. So any cute boxes, bags, cupcake liners… Help me! :)

  27. I’m sure I won’t win because you already have so many commest, but I am running to check out that site now! Thanks!

  28. ALL the cupcake wrappers!!!

  29. scrapbooking supplies, punches, dies, stamps,

  30. I can never seem to keep myself from buying fabric remnants. They always make me feel like I am getting such a good deal so how can I resist? Although I’m afraid if I visit that website the answer to that question will change. :D

  31. All the colourful cakes just waiting to be baked!!
Not sure i’d have the heart to use them either…

  32. I can’t seem to stop buying cake/cookie decorating stuff, even though I really really stink at piping. I’ve got bags and tips and squeeze bottles for flooding and a ton of food colorings. Have I done anything with them since Christmas? Well, no. But that doesn’t mean I don’t need more cute cookie cutters.

  33. What cute stuff. I can’t stop buying design magazines. It’s nuts, they are taking over my life! But they are full of beauty and cuteness, and fantastic ideas, I just get so excited and can’t wait to try everything out… which leads me to my next obsession: paint… and curtains… and throw pillows… and knick-nacks… I’m a monster.

  34. Sprinkles, colored sugar and baking pans!

  35. This post looks sooo great …. I wish I could buy them all hahaha …
I cant stop buying for myself make up in all forms, eyeshadows, powders, mascaras … and lately I have been into nails also … designing nails. I also like online scrapbooking and make them in real with all the laces and buttons and small designs … I just wonder why I am broke recently haha.
    Thanks for this post!!

    ps: love your blog!

  43. I think the cupcake cups and the button molds…and the twisties. They are all adorable! If I won, then I would have to really decide on a project and go for it.

  44. Crafty things. Cookie thing. Cupcake things. Lots and lots of things!

  45. ha where does the list begin… When it comes to baking I pretty much buy from Fondant, mix, cupcake holders, books, magz, and so much more!! 46. I can’t stop buying Yankee Candles!

  47. i buy random things. anything cute and adorable. currently i am in love with things that have whales on them. just bought kid’s plate and bowl because it had adorable fish on it. i will grow up one day. maybe after i get cute popcorn bucket cupcake wrappers. love it.

  48. Wow! What beautiful stuff. I love the cupcake liners. This store looks wonderful. I found some stuff that I would like to get for my daughters 1st Birthday!
I love to buy cake pans. I have a lot of them, but I keep buying them!!!

  49. I love this site. I also love all the links to various other great sites you find. Thanks keep up all the great work.

  50. Cookbooks are my true obsession, but anyone who enters my kitchen would say it has to be molds of any kind. I have a commercial shelving unit overflowing with them!

  51. I have a full shelf dedicated to sweets (of all kind). I love buying anything and everything to bake and eat when I get daily my sweet tooth craving…

  52. Stuff for my kids. I can resist just about anything for myself, but when it comes to my 3 boys…I can’t help myself.

  59. I must own those cupcake wrappers! wouldn’t they look so cute at my wedding…next to my mini jars of cobbler wrapped up in that adorable twine!!! oh dear, i’m afraid i have another website to bookmark…

  60. I love this site too! I seem to buy WAY too many sprinkles/jimmies than I will ever need. And baking cookbooks…they are overtaking my kitchen (there’s over 50). I just love looking at the photos (and occasionally have the time to make something) Can’t wait to add another one – yours!

  61. Ah! I have grown so fond of different molds and cookie cutters! Who knows when you might want a squirrel cookie cutter. I mean, really!

  62. I can’t stop myself from buying stuff I want when it’s on sale – if it’s 50% or more off and I already wanted it – it doesn’t matter if I shouldn’t be buying it – I’m buying it – it’s a habit and I need to stop! Of course my house is finally starting to look like I want it to, but my bank account is crying :)

  63. I can’t stop buying yarn or knitting bags. It’s very sad. I’m posting this whilst watching an online auction for another knitting bag.

  64. I have that button mold and use it to decorate cakes with borders and spell out words on cupcakes. Love it!

Lately I can’t stop collecting cookie cutters. I have an alarming large collection growing in my kitchen cabinet.

    xo

  67. I can’t help but buy the Betty Crocker cookbooks right at the checkout in the grocery store. You know, the ones that are stapled together? The dessert or candy ones always catch my eye, so I have to have them. But these little cupcake holders really take the cake! :)

  68. OMG!! This stuff is all too cute! I would love to get the birthday cake cookie cutter, any and all of the specialty baking cups, and the baking molds are just fabulous!! I’m loving that website!!

Oh, and I can’t stop myself from buying purses. Mostly from second-hand stores. My husband sees it as a sickness, but I just see it as the endless search for the ‘perfect’ purse!

  69. Cookbooks and cooking magazines!

  70. Other than various sorts of sprinkles and other baking goods, I’m a fool for office supplies! Anything that belongs in an office-paper, post-its, pens, staplers-I need it!

  71. Oh my goodness, win or not I am purchasing those adorable popcorn brownie cups!! LOVE it! Thanks for sharing an adorable site with us. Hope you are doing well Angie :)

  74. i can’t seem to stop buying antique teacups! i love that none of them match. it’s a disease really…

  75. Definitely cookbooks and baking. My husband always says, do not think it is right to buy a new book until you have at least one project from each new book?
But for me it is never enough!

  76. These are adorable! I wouldn’t be able to resist all the cute patterns either. Love cute cupcake papers!

  77. LOVE that website! How stinkin’ adorable is it? I cannot stop myself from buying anything on Etsy. I have a 15 mo old daughter and if I just see one cute dress or bow or whatever…I just “have” to have it for her. Pretty ridiculous, right? My husband would sure agree! lol

  78. There are 2 things I have a hard time NOT buying: chocolate and home decor.

  79. Kitchen gadgets

  80. Licorice – black and red, but especially black. You would be surprised how many varieties there are, and I want to try them all! Oh, and marzipan. It’s just the best.

  89. Bakerella, I recently visited this site and fell in love, although my amusement didn’t last long when I saw that there is no delivery available in Mexico. So, I leave a post, but if I am lucky enough to win, I guess I’ll have to give the prize to someone else on your list :(

  90. WOW!!!!! Everything is soooooo cute!! I can’t make up my mind as to what I like the most. I will have to write each item on a slip of paper and pick out of a hat!! LOVE this site.

  91. Any kind of baking supplies!!!

  96. OMG – I’m scared to go to the site now, all the goodies you picked out are AMAZING!! Want to go buy cupcake liners but may not stop there. :)

  97. Oh my. How to narrow it down? I love the candelabra birthday candle. The fun spices – this is chicken, flavored with greed! The Woodland Mushroom Lace Doilies…and the Skulls!! The silver star cupcake wrappers are just beautiful. And the tartan and paisley baking cups just make me happy.

  98. Oooo…pick me!

  99. Notebooks/Notepads. It’s RIDICULOUS!!! I’m a chronic list maker, so I feel like I can always justify the new and uber cute notebook on the end of the aisle. Help me!

  100. Books! Definitely! Also awesome old chairs; if I wasn’t on the opposite side of the country from where I’ll eventually be living (and will have to move everything), I would have way too many.

  102. THE BUTTON MOLDS ARE SOOOOOO ADORABLE!

  103. Vintage dresses. Can’t stop buying vintage dresses. Hmmm.

As for my addiction, clothes for my kids. Especially if I can get a good deal on them! I love bargain shopping! :)

  105. I seriously did not know or don’t know what to buy. I was so scared to even look at the whole entire list she’s got. If I do get crazy and get other stuff, I would buy a bunch more of those cupcake liner :-) they are all soooooooo pretty.

    Good luck everyone!

  106. I can’t stop myself from buying anything cute, especially when it has to do with baking.

  107. I can’t seem to help myself when it comes to scrapbook paper. I hate using it because then I won’t have it and it is just so dang cute!

Also cute baking cups are something of a weakness…who goes on vacation and comes home with three different styles and not normal touristy things? Me thats who!

  108. Everything is so cute! Thanks for sharing, but this could be dangerous! I can never stop buying semi-useless kitchen gadgets. I have way too many gadgets to do things that could easily be done by hand. And shoes. You can never have too many shoes!

  109. baby clothes! love dressing my girls up. even if i get cold hard cash as a (birthday) gift.. & the card SPECIFICALLY says, get YOURSELF something, i always end up buying new clothes/shoes/coats/hair ribbons/etc for my girls, i can’t help it :D

  114. Awesome stuff!!

  115. Mmm, I love the Damask ones!
I can’t stop myself from buying clothes on sale. That’s why I don’t let myself out of the house or onto internet stores : )

  122. I have to buy anything with a cupcake theme:)! I have cupcake pans, aprons, baking bowls, dishes, rubber stamps, notepads and lots more!

  124. Those gingham red cupcake liners will be PERFECT for my casual barbeque wedding this summer. We have gingham checked invites and napkins. Thanks for the recommendation!

  125. I want it all but I have to order the red striped cups and straws.
Bakerella, your the best. You always tell me just how and where to spend all my money.
    Cheers!

  126. Now that I know it’s there, I will one day soon be owning the citrus sugar, dragonfly chocolate mold, the mini cupcake cookie cutter, the red/white striped paper straws and the brown and gold mini loaf pans. (sigh)

  127. Ballet flats and random kitchen tools… which is code for yet more spatulas and baking sheets.
Fortunately, the first step toward recovery is admitting there’s a problem. We can ignore all of those crazy steps that involve me quitting, right? Right?!

  128. cookbooks… I think it’s an addiction! No matter how many I have at home, I still continue to buy more and more. I’ve even gotten to the point when we are on vacation I will buy a cookbook from that region to be my souvenir. I love them!

  129. I need those popcorn buckets! My daughter just settled on a circus themed birthday! I cannot stop myself from buying clothing items for my girls. It is my one weakness. I have had to cut my spending and put myself on a strict budget, but every now again I just can’t help it! :)

  134. Oh, I can not breath!!! Too much cuteness in one place. Paper bag, please, I’m hyperventilating. I totally get not using the papers. I have a closet full of things I like to ” just look at”. Oh, help me! I cannot stand it. Please pick me so I can “just look at” these lovelies too!!!

  135. Paradise Bakery cookies!! I’m addicted!

  136. Sprinkles! I love having a wide variety of sprinkles to use. Though I sometimes have issues with actually using them…what if they don’t make this one anymore… what if I need this for something else. A bunch of irrational fears, but that’s okay right?:)

  137. Make-up, lotion, hair care…basically I can’t go near a sephora without buying a ridiculous amount of stuff that I won’t use in a whole year. I’m addicted to that store!

  138. Wow!! I could go crazy in a site like Bake it Pretty. It wld def have me baking all the time to create fun things just to use the muffin cups or twine or ties, anything. I love this kind of stuff. I cannot stop buying shoes. Doesn’t matter if I already have 4 pairs of black patent peep toe pumps, the 5th pair will be the perfect pair (at least that is what I tell myself). Oh and if they are on sale, WATCH OUT!!

  139. soooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can i win please??? it would be a great 21st(:

  140. In the beauty world, I have a weakness for lip gloss. A girl should just always be prepared in many colors and shines. My baking downfall is snatching up fun baking tins. I see a beautiful red bundt pan and I get weak in the knees.

  142. Adorable! I especially love the button mold. Too cute!

  143. I love buying books about baking and decorating!!!

  144. I’m a knitter- so I can’t stop buying yarn. (Seriously- it’s a problem.) But if I had a chance to play on this website, I’d probably stock up on the cutest muffin cups EVAH… and become a full time cupcake maker!

  145. Right now its fabric, mostly quilting fabric. A couple of years ago it was yarn for knitting. Next, who knows? I have been really looking at big mixers and food processors. It just seems that it all has to do with crafting or cooking.

Anyway, thanks for the contest. If I go to Bake it Pretty, I get sucked into a vortex and can’t remove myself for a few hours so I have to limit my exposure.

  146. LOVE them… they are the cutest.

  147. The cupcake liners are wonderful!

  148. I think I can not live one more day with out all of these little goodies!…..so cute!

  149. Wow! Thanks for sharing this fantastic site! I will have to go shopping, whether I win or not!

  150. Everything is just too cute!!

  151. I can’t stop myself from buying food in general. I love to always have anything on hand for when someone MIGHT happen to come over. You never know when you might have unexpected company. So I just make sure I have lots of food on hand to accomadate anyone and everyone. :)

  152. Shoes used to be my vice…then I had twins and couldn’t spend the time or money on lots of pretty shoes that I would never wear now that I was lugging two babies around. Now it is books…any kids clothes (their closet is jammed!).

    These are really cute!

  153. I would LOVE to win this:-)
