I’ve been in spring break mode lately. You might have noticed since I didn’t bake last weekend. I think it’s because I recently went on a vacation which I haven’t done in a couple of years and it felt awesome to just relax and do nothing. And now being back home I can’t stop enjoying the warmth that’s finally taking over. Spring is probably my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately, in the south, you only have about seven minutes to enjoy the season before the hot and humid heat of summer takes over. Okay, okay – I’m exaggerating a little. It probably lasts eleven minutes. ; ) So you’ve got to enjoy all of them while they last. And I’m trying.

Unfortunately with 2 little ones its not so easy to go many places so instead My favorite thing to do in Spring is to spend time with my 4 year old daughter, baking in the kitchen whilst her baby brother watches! She loves watching me bake and being a little helper, her little easy bake oven was the best present we have ever got for her! I really hope that one day she will love to bake with her kids too. Even though I live close to the beach (Southern California Coast), I still think that SoCal beaches are the best place to vacation. Not just for the fun times at the beach during the day, but for the amazing view of the sunrise over the Pacific, and the sound of waves crashing at dusk. Most people miss out on that – only hang around during sunny weather, when it’s the early morning and sunsets that are the best. Silver Metallic mixer, even though I think that the aqua sky is very cute. Silver is more practical!

We love to get away to this old Boy Scout Campground. It has been transformed into a quiet getaway. It’s only a couple hour drive but you feel like you are forever away from the city! Peaceful and relaxing equals perfection!
