I’ve been in spring break mode lately. You might have noticed since I didn’t bake last weekend. I think it’s because I recently went on a vacation which I haven’t done in a couple of years and it felt awesome to just relax and do nothing. And now being back home I can’t stop enjoying the warmth that’s finally taking over. Spring is probably my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately, in the south, you only have about seven minutes to enjoy the season before the hot and humid heat of summer takes over. Okay, okay – I’m exaggerating a little. It probably lasts eleven minutes. ; ) So you’ve got to enjoy all of them while they last. And I’m trying.

Being sentimental I’d return to where we honeymooned (Charleston South Carolina) but I’d be almost as happy being home and doing almost anything creative… that’s when I’m happiest. Oh, and PINK, of course!

Bake! I’m not kidding! I simply LOVE baking. I get all excited when my work is done, cos it’s time for me to either pick up one of the cookbooks my hubby bought or simply surf online to check out something that interests me, to bake! I love baking for my collegues, my close ones of course! My baking love is anything chocolatey! I love dark chocolate! Because I make it a habit to bake and bring it to work, my close friends are also into baking too! LOL! I guess it’s ‘contagious’! :)

We love cruising. We have had some of the best holidays on a cruise ship. Its the best way to relax and experience places around the world in an affordable way. We have only one child – she is 9 and loves cruising too, We have met many lovely people and have become good friends with some people we met on our first cruise and have done 2 cruises with them since. She has made some lovely friends from around the world and has a few new pen pals too. If you have not done a cruise – I highly recommend it!!!
My Favorite thing to do on vacation is ignore my phone! Spending a little while unplugged is a wonderful way to really relax and enjoy the moment. Of course, that moment to relax could be spending whipping up some tasty goodness on an amazing Pistachio Mixer!!

Royal Carribian has a private island called Labordi (or something like that), they rake the sand every morning and there are hammocks just waiting under palm trees! I would have to have the crystal blue, almost like the ocean!
I like using my vacations for indulging in girly hobbies – like planting herbs, knitting and taking photos. It’s also relaxing to take bike rides to parks and cafes with my husband. All of these things are basically an extension to lounging around in the sun when it’s warm outside.

My favorite thing to do on vacation is find local places to eat and shop at and get the full experience of wherever I’m vacationing. My family loves good food so finding a great place full of local flavor is our favorite part of our vacation!

Oh my gosh! What’s a vacation?? I can’t remember the last real vacation we took! ($3.65 for a gallon of gas? Really?) But if we won the lotto, I’d love to go ANYWHERE!! Personally, I’d be so happy if I could go back to Canada and see what my hometown (Montreal) looks like today! Sigh….. All the colors are so yummy, but the Ice is just scrumptious!!
If the weathers nice, I don’t have to work and I’m with all my favourite people I really don’t mind where I go- I’m happy to go be anywhere from the Lake District to Tokyo.

When on vacation I love to sleep in and NOT hear the alarm clock go off! If going away, I love visiting Naples, FL. It’s only an 1 1/2 hr away from home yet I feel as though I’m in another country! I think the Majestic Yellow mixer would be fun ;)
I enjoy going to Nashville, IN for a quick overnight trip with my hubby. It’s close to home but far enough away to feel like a treat. I like the Majestic Yellow the best!
