I’ve been in spring break mode lately. You might have noticed since I didn’t bake last weekend. I think it’s because I recently went on a vacation which I haven’t done in a couple of years and it felt awesome to just relax and do nothing. And now being back home I can’t stop enjoying the warmth that’s finally taking over. Spring is probably my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately, in the south, you only have about seven minutes to enjoy the season before the hot and humid heat of summer takes over. Okay, okay – I’m exaggerating a little. It probably lasts eleven minutes. ; ) So you’ve got to enjoy all of them while they last. And I’m trying.

My favorite vacation is Wildwood! I love the boardwalk and the beach. All the doo wop motels and diners and of course riding the tram car.It’s also fun taking a side trip while there to the Cape May Zoo and Sunset Beach to look for Cape May diamonds. I LOVE the yellow!

Our fave place to go on vacation is here in our home state! We live in Michigan but travel North to the Upper Peninsula for our vacation. We love looking for Agates and copper! Some of the Agates we find are so ‘picture perfect”, looking like something out of a rock book! We get so excited when we find those treasures. Just my husband, my son (13 years) and myself just walking along the shores rock picking! Would love the Pistachio one. thanks for the opportunity!
Grandma’s house. I was going to say something more exotic, but it actually takes me longer to fly from New York to the UP of Michigan than it does to get to Europe. It’s worth the trip every time, to sit at my grandma’s kitchen table, sipping coffee and eating things that I just can’t find in the biggest city in the US. Oh, and I would go aqua sky to change my color scheme up a bit!

My favorite vacation is a “stay-cation”. Living along the South Coast of MA we are spoiled with all the beautiful beaches during the summertime. Once I had my daughter I realized the best kind of vacation were the ones where we had to only drive 3 minutes to the beach and spend the whole day there! Going away is nice dont get me wrong, but something about being able to enjoy time off and the nice weather while not driving for hours on end to a destination is perfect to me!

My FAV place to on vacation to is Hawaii but that was probably a one time vacation. So, for realistic vacations, my favorite is to go to Lake Arbutus in Wisconsin and stay in a cabin with our extended family in the next door cabin and 4 wheel all day. I do one day of this but the die hards go everyday we are there. On the days I don’t go, I take my parents and we meet everyone for lunch at a little bar/restaurant then bring the littler ones with us as they have usually had enough by then. Its great family memories!

My favorite place to go on vacation is anywhere I haven’t yet been. My favorite vacation activities are attempting to sleep in but waking up at the crack of dawn out of excitement, sampling the local cuisine, taking in as many museums and historic sites as humanly possible, admiring the architecture, and kicking back to gaze upon the ocean/mountains/city with a drink and a good book. That pistachio mixer would be the most beautiful thing ever to grace my kitchen counter.
Cruises used to be my go-to vacation, now it’s going home. I have moved over 2,000 miles away from home (and am the first one in my family to do so). Therefore, vacations now are leaving the freezing weather in North Dakota and being with family and delicious Cuban food in Florida.
