I’ve been in spring break mode lately. You might have noticed since I didn’t bake last weekend. I think it’s because I recently went on a vacation which I haven’t done in a couple of years and it felt awesome to just relax and do nothing. And now being back home I can’t stop enjoying the warmth that’s finally taking over. Spring is probably my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately, in the south, you only have about seven minutes to enjoy the season before the hot and humid heat of summer takes over. Okay, okay – I’m exaggerating a little. It probably lasts eleven minutes. ; ) So you’ve got to enjoy all of them while they last. And I’m trying.

I don’t know if the contest is open outside of the US, but I’m giving it a try anyway! My favourite place to go in the summer is my parents countryside house, in a small town in the center of France. There is a big cherry tree under which you call sleep and read a summer book. No noise around, only nosy cows, warm sun and red cherries… Paradise surely look like that!

Going somewhere relaxing like Bali or other beach resorts, and just lying in the sand eating delicious treats, recipes kudos to bakerella ;)

We always went to Smith Mountain Lake when we were kids. It is a great place to vacation. We are going to try to go there this summer if we can swing it. I love the pistachio mixer. It looks like its from a gone era. ;)
Without question, my favorite vacation destination is Siesta Key, Florida. 300 days of sunshine per year, powdered sugar sand, sparkling water, great restaurants, and a lively art scene. It’s pure heaven! And the pistachio mixer would be perfect in our mid-century modern kitchen, pretty please.
my favorite place to go on vacation would be some place where my kids and mother would all love to go. Usually, it is some place that is a relief from whatever season we are in at the time. Smoky Mountains in the , Disney World in winter. Simple but fun. Best spring color is crystal blue.

I’m from Ireland so it would probably be ANYWHERE hot and by the beach! Last year my boyfriend and I went to Mallorca and had so much fun going on walks all around the island, through the small towns and beach. The balmy night air was amazing there so midnight trips to the beach were really special!
