So I needed a couple of things from Cake Art the other day.
Like candy coatings for some Halloween cake pops I wanted to make a few days ago.
I needed orange.
Boo. All gone.
I guess I wasn’t the only one with that thought.
But don’t worry. I didn’t leave the store empty handed. Actually, I don’t think that ever happens.
How could it with all kinds of spooktacular goodies staring me in the face.
My heart definitely started beating faster when I saw all this.
And umm… yes, this is just the Halloween section (not even all of it) and yes, I now have a small amount of it in my kitchen too.
I had to.
But I also had to pick up a few things for you, too. Every time I picked something up that I wanted, I thought somebody else might really like this. So by the time my arms were overflowing and I had sprinkles and spiders falling in the floor, I thought it would be fun to share and do a quick giveaway before Halloween hits.
So let me show you what’s up for grabs. Just a few random things I bought and thought you might like.
Starting with special sprinkles.

I also loved these cutters.
Floating ghost, scaredy cat, and this great skull and crossbones. I picked this one up mainly because I don’t think I’ve ever run across one before.
Then there’s these itty-bitty cookie cutters. So cute.

I love how this is packaged so you can make your own expressions.
Speaking of faces, how about some candy eyes?

And look at these cute foil wrappers. Great for wrapping chocolates, truffles and cake balls if you like, too.

Well, I love all things Halloween but those cookie cutters to make-your-own Jack o’lantern faces are the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and my 8 year old would love it! But in general, I’m easy to please – loved it all!!

I plan on making choc cupcakes with orange frosting. Then I will use black frosting to make spider webs on top. My kids love them and I love when they end up with black frosting faces. :)

What a collection! I just found a bottle of those bone sprinkles the other day. My nephew will love them! I try not to ply my niece and nephew with sweets on Halloween (their mommy says no) but always bake them something special. This year it’s going to be some sort of marshmallow brownie concoction with, of course, bone sprinkles!

I wish I had a store like that near me. Everything looks so festive but the flies would be so gross (cool) to put on homemade goodies. I need to pull something together for the teachers at school but plan on making royal icing spiders for the kids. I add almond extract so they taste good and they freak out their friends eating spiders and their mouthes are black for a while afterward!

I love Halloween … and making fun food … who could pick a favorite … it is all awesome. Thank you for for all of your helpful tips … your cake pops book was very helpful when I made my first cake pops this past June for our son’s 4th birthday … he wanted a Disney Car’s party … and he asked for cake pop’s … of course he wanted Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater … it was a challenge … but he is still talking about how much he loved his Cars party.
I just luv all the neat things you get….So creative and nice ideas. I will def be having a Halloween party now!!!

Hi. I would love any of those. My sons first birthday is the day after Halloween. So, we are doing a big Halloween party the day before. I am doing all the fun tradition treats and goodies. I am just decorating the house and outside today. Then tomorrow I am starting my baking. Going to try some apple pumpkin spice cake pops. It is delish but haven’t made pops out of it yet. I make it with a cinnamon cream cheese icing. I just love that store, I would have to camp out for a week just to get to see everything. LOL

My street has over 35 kids under the age of 12. We all go BIG for Halloween…decorating the outsides of houses, a parade of costumes while we feast on a potluck dinner and chaotic trick or treating in big groups complete with wagons pulling “treats” for the adults! My best friend passed away in February. I am busy making Dia de Los Muertos crafts as she LOVED the decorations for this festivity and I will be participating in an “altar” for festivities here in Southern California. I absolutely fell in love with the little trick-or-tricking ghost cake pops you posted a while ago so I would definitely use these things to dress up the display for our Halloween celebration at work! My little sister has already put in a request for Halloween treats for her class, the adorable eyes and cake toppers would absolutely help with that!
