… with sprinkles!
Blue ones…
Yellow ones…
Colorful ones…
I’ve been wanting to make a sprinkles display for my kitchen for a while now and I finally found this spiceless spice rack that was perfect. It even has a handle so I can carry it around easily. If you want to make one too, and you already have a rack, here are some plain bottles you can use to fill with whatever sprinkles you like.
P. S. I guess I have a thing for bottles. Here’s another display I have. When people come over, they ask me why I have so many spices in my living room. Then I tell them to get a little closer.
I have about 100 beaches from around the world. It’s pretty cool because they are all surprisingly different.
So think outside the box, or bottle in this case and spice things up.
Where to buy:
Spiceless Spice Rack from Amazon. I have also seen it at The Container Store, but it’s been a while.
Plain bottles for sprinkles if you already have a spice rack.
I’ve recently found the sand bottles at Hobby Lobby and The Container Store (plastic ones).
Hello,
You sand display is amazing. May I ask how big are the jars?
Best regards,
Andrés
COOLLL, I WANT TO DO THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

OMG, I just love your website and your cupcake creativity!!!!! I must’ve died and went to internet heaven along with awesome cupcakes! Anyways, where and what kind of sprinkles are they? The first jar of sprinkles with the first picture. Thanks!
that is so cool! You are so creative!
omg! i love this. haha! im 17 years old and im inspiring to either own my own restaraunt or bakery. and all of your items just make me want to come scoop up your kitchen and bring it home. (: i love love love this. (:
That is SO not fair.
You’re evil. And I mean really!
I could eat sprinkles all day, cakeless.
I love this post! Definitely want to do this, and I saw you have sand from Destin, Florida! Thats where I’m from. (:
What a wonderful idea. I will do this when I get my own house.
hey bakerella I just wan to know where I can I find a good place where they seal sprinkles in virginia or washington dc?
I adore sprinkles and bottles, so LOVE THIS! Wow, you’ve been to a lot of places!! Very cool. :)
Awesome Idea!
Greetings!
I’ve been reading you blog for a couple of months now and I have found some recipes I’m itching to try!
But just seeing that canister full of sand from Rincon made me homesick in seconds! I was born and raised in PR and just seeing the sand made me remember how beautiful the beaches are in Rincon!!! I hope you had a great time there!
:D
I’ve been wanting to do this since you first posted it, and this week I finally did it. I ended up making a magnetic spice rack instead because of space issues in my tiny kitchen, but I love it. Having all the sprinkles sitting in my kitchen every morning when I walk in puts me is such a great mood! Thank you!
Here’s some pictures if you want to see it. Thank you again!

Wow, what an awesome collection of sprinkles and sand! I might have to steal your sand collection idea. Very creative!
It looks so cute. Great sprinkles assortment.
I loved this idea sooooo much that I made one of my own. Hope you don’t mind! I put a picture on my blog if you want to see. I would love to do the sand one too but we never go anywhere so I don’t think three bottles or so would be as cool. Love your blog!
I have a hard time finding them online. I would check Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Container Store… places like that.
I know you mentioned where to get the sand bottles but do you have a link or anywhere online I can buy them? :)
If so email me tiffani78@yahoo.com
shannon – I’ve had help along the way. I wish I had traveled to that many though.
ahh i think im going to do the same thing with my sprinkles and sugars in on my baking shelf in our pantry
i love your sand jars! have you personally been to all those beaches or do people help you with your collection?
They can be expensive, but I grab cute ones here and there when I see them. So it’s not like buying a whole bunch at one time.
ugh i want sprinkles all like that– i barely have any sprinkles becuase they are kind of expensive! i want sprinkles now lol
OMG. Your beach sand display is AMAZING.
Wow.
I love that they are NICE sand bottles. Sometimes when you see sand collections, they are kind of gross. Not yours! And the sprinkles are too die for!
Kerry – I printed them out from a laser printer on colored papers. Then I cut them out and used a spray adhesive on the front side. Then, just place them inside the bottle and glue in place.
ok, one more question. How did you make the labels on the sand jars? They look great!
Cleo Fitzgerald – Sure. Send me an email and I can tell you where to send some.
Kerry – About 3-4 inches tall
SarahB – You must!
I love the sprinkles display! Must do that! Your sand display is brilliant — I too love little bottles. :)
Ok, your spice rack and sand display rocks!!! I had two boring spice racks in my kitchen and now I am inspired to spruce them up! Just curious….how big are the bottles filled with sand……I can’t really tell from the picture. I love this idea and hope to get started on my own collection.
Awsome idea …. are these bottle of sand collected from places you have been too?? If not I would love to send you some sand from my fave beach here in South Africa!! And a little from my fave beach in Mauritius too… let me know … ps I ADORE allllllll of your cupcakes … which does not help my sweet tooth!!
cake chemistry… yikes. I haven’t read that book. Thanks for the tips.
god i would kill for a gas oven! have you read cookwise by shirley o.corriher? to make cakes more moist you could try reducing egg whites, adding sugar, replacing white sugar with brown sugar, using a lower protein flour or replacing butter with oil.
Glad you like the idea. Thanks.
AWESOME! I have a dirt collection too, I think we might be twins separated at birth…I never thought about spice bottles, you SO inspire me!
Ceci – What a sweetie you have. I’m sure it’s really pretty.
I’ve followed your advice. My boyfriend found for me a beutiful spice rack and bought it for my birthday, now my sprinkles look beautiful and not all messy.
thanx bakerella
i am loving your sand collection! i think that is the neatest idea ever, what a special way to remember your travels!
They both look lovely! The sprinkles look so cute, but the sand is really a genius idea.
Anne Marie – your idea sounds cool.
Awesome display idea for the sands! I too collect sand from beaches i visit, and I have an idea in mind for displaying them but I’m having a hard time making my idea a reality. it involves a shadow box and test tubes. Anyway, I like the spice jar idea!
wow! im an interior designer student and this rack really inspiring me for my next project..! i linked you..
