Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

Red Velvet is pretty great, but the best I’ve ever had was Pistachio with Pistachio cream filling. We had it for our wedding cake-yum!

It’s impossible to pick just one flavor. The perfect cake would be an assorted one. It would be made up of slices of rich decadent chocolate, red velvet, carrot, pineapple upside down, german chocolate, lemon and even various flavors of cheesecake! Now that’s a cake! YUM!
My favorite and family favorite is Poppy seed with a topping that is cooked in a double boiler and has sour cream and walnuts.

Anyway, my fav is a local bakery cake. The bakery is called “Jeanne’s Bakery” and they make a cake that has a shortbread cookie bottom, with super yummy icing! They make banana, chocolate, white or marble, but my favorite of theirs is the white.

Definitely chocolate, but I love it with peanut butter mousse filling spiked with chopped mini peanut butter cups. The purse is gorgeous too-I’ve actually never had red velvet cake, so it makes me want to try it! We Canadians typically don’t make Red Velvet, I understand it’s an American thing!
