Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

Coconut cake. Last summer I made this killer coconut cake with coconut icing and topped with toasted coconut…I like the stuff!
You’re not going to believe this, but RED VELVET is my favorite kind of cake! With lots of cream cheese frosting! Then all is well in the world. I LOVE this bag! How fun!

With me choosing a favorite would depend on the season and day. Boston cream is my favorite today, tomorrow I am thinking it will be Lemon, the next day, Kirschtorte.

I’d love to be able to say that my fav is Red Velvet Cake but alas it isnt.
I love a fresh sponge cake, filled with jam and fresh cream and covered in a light dusting of confectioners sugar.
Red Velvet all the way! There is a cafe in Park Slope Brooklyn called the Tea Lounge and they have the best red velvet cake. Ever.
My favorite by far is red velvet, but only when my boyfriend makes it :D

My favorite cake is ever-changing but always involves lots of chocolate, such as flourless chocolate cake, death by chocolate, etc. . . . unless it is Tres Leches Cake, which sometimes is the only cake that can satisfy my sweet tooth.

How cute is that purse/diaper bag?! I just had myself a new little valentine who arriced two days prior to that particular day, so the bag would seem appropriate. But I have to say that my favorite cake would have to be the ‘lemon cake that my grandma made from scratch’ for my birthday when I turned 9. Boy, I miss my grandma and I wish that I knew how she made that cake!

My favorite cake is the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and some toasted walnuts. I live in NYC and one of my favorite places to get this cake is at the Cake Man Raven! It’s the best version that I have had in this area.
don’t laugh…but one of my fondest memories from childhood is birthday parties with the huge sheetcake from costco, super moist white with that fluffy cheesecake sort of filling and really airy whipped frosting…delicious! now that i bake myself, i love chocolate cupcakes with mint-choc frosting :)

It’s really simple, but I love angel food cake with fresh strawberries on the side. And I once fell completely in love with a big tote bag that would have been great for the beach or weekend trips, only to realize it was definitely a diaper bag. I was so disappointed!
