Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

My grandmother makes the BEST red velvet cake in the entire world. I (and many others) have made her recipe but its never quite as good as hers.
Oh Wow! I LOVE this purse!!! I’ve been a pastry chef for over 20 years and cake is my life. My personal favorite cake is chocolate bumpy cake: deep, dark chocolate cake, filled and frosted with vanilla buttercream with big bumps of buttercream piped on the top of the cake. This is then glazed with chocolate ganache. Heavenly!

I love cake, period. It’s hard to pick an all time favorite. I do love red velvet, though. I like it best with cream cheese frosting. I love adding all those tablespoons of red food coloring. I like to hide that fact that it’s red velvet with a really solid colored cupcake wrapper and frosting all the way to the edge so when you bite in, it’s a blast of red goodness!
I LOVE any and every cake with buttercream frosting. I wish I could go back to my wedding and do that cake all over again :P

Chocolate Camp Cake…I think the real name is hurry up chocolate cake…which is aptly named since you can hardly wait to eat it. We call it camp cake because my husband’s mother made it for every camping trip they ever took, it was their special treat each evening before bed. This cake is best after it has set for a day and the frosting has somewhat soaked into to top 1/4 inch of the cake, soooo moist and delicious…typing this makes me want to go bake one right now!!
My favorite cake is banana cake by Leslie- my sister. It is her own recipe, a whole wheat banana cake that tastes like the most delicious banana bread ever. And with wholesome nutritious ingredients, she’s convinced us that it’s good for us too!
