Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

My grandmother’s yellow layer cake with chocolate fudge frosting. One layer for each birthday year – she made it to 18 layers one year!
My stepmom makes this angel food cake that has pineapple and tangerine chunks in it, and then she frosts it with whipped cream! It’s absolutely delicious, so moist and citrus-y.

I’m pretty sure that I love all cakes lol! I had cheesecake for breakfast this morning :) But if I had to choose my favorite favorite I guess it’d have to be some really rich chocolate cake with chocolate icing smothered in some sort of super-chocolatey ganache.
I love homemade Carrot Cake with homemade cream cheese Icing…this was the very first cake I ever attempted to make from scratch and to this day it is the only all scratch cake I make the comes out perfect everytime.

I like ALL cake, but as a kid my grandmother always made me ice cream cake for my birthday. Layers of ice cream between angel food cake with whipped cream frosting. So that would be my favorite just for the memories.

too many favorites to choose from…I think I would have to say yellow cake and caramel frosting…my mom made 2 kinds…one that was sort of a 7-minute/sea foam sort that was all light and airy, and a different, heavier kind with burnt sugar…both yummy!
My Favorite cake is from a local bakery here in Minnesota – it is called the Princess Torte. It has a yellow cake with raspberry filling and a marzipan coating on the outside. So YUM!!
