Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

Birthday Cake is my favourite. Sometimes when there hasn’t been a birthday in our family in a while my little boy and I make a birthday cake and frost “Happy Birthday to Nobody” on the top. Then we light the candles and sing..then we eat!

My favorite kind of cake is Hummingbird Cake – It’s a cake made with pineapple, bananas, and pecans with cream cheese frosting. It reminds me a lot of a carrot cake – but even better! Yummm!

My all time FAVORITE cake is from a bakery in South Louisiana. It’s called Fresh Strawberry Cake and it is TO.DIE.FOR!!!! There is no icing, just light, fresh whipped cream with thinly sliced strawberries mixed in. This is spread on top of mulitple layers of light fluffy cake(ish). I have tropes to repliate it, but have failed several times :( It is amazing! …and I need a new diaper bag :)

Actually, someone brought in this really awesome cake to work a few months ago. It was very delicately grained, almost like a wedding cake, and had a very full vanilla and lemon flavoring. In between each layer, there was this sort of raspberry filling, and it was iced with a whipped cream based frosting that was super light. I could have eaten the whole thing.

My favorite cake is still by far white cake. My mom decorated cakes when I was growing up, and when she would level the cake…I would get the pieces. They were always still a little warm..and it was the yummy brown sticky part that I loved the best. My close runner-up flavor of cake, was my wedding cake. Key lime!! It was heavenly!!
