I had cake for breakfast Monday morning! A delicious marble chocolate and yellow cake a co-worker brought in. What a way to kick off a work week.
The last cake occasion I celebrated with cake was the purchase of my new piping tip set! *giggle*
The last time I celebrated with a cake was for Christmas. As gifts, I made cake pops as gifts with red velvet cake with white and milk chocolate. I made the pops inverted so they would stand on their own and wrapped them up in candy bags as festive and DELICIOUS gifts. I sent my dad an entire tin and he sent it back asking for a refill!
The last cake we celebrated was for my 8 year old neighbor across the street. Dillon was turning 8 and wanted a superhero cake. I managed to put together a Superman/Spiderman.Batman cake without using plastic figurines. He loved it and sent a sweet, sweet handwritten note to thank me. I knew he was in the groove for this cake…he wore his Superman cape everywhere the week prior to the party! LOL!!! You have to love kids!!!
We celebrated our favorite- FIRST DAY BACK for our only son after spring break! We made some of your apple cake pops. Harlen’s teacher laughed out loud when she saw the personalities!

I made a Lemon Layer Cake with Lemon Curd Filling and Lemon Buttercream for an Asian-Themed Dinner I had with my old neighbors. It was good, if a bit dense. Lovely lemon flavor though, and not too sweet!

We celebrated my son’s baptism with chocolate cake and white frosting 3 weeks ago. I made the cake, but forgot to buy sugar for the frosting. I called my MIL to make some, but she forgot it at home! We ended up w good old Betty Crocker, and, I must say, it was delish!
