I will be making something like this for 4th of July as well.
Diane – When I add the frosting, I do a little at a time until there is just enough to hold the cake together. It keeps them from being too mushy and sweet. :)

This is a great idea! Does anyone else think the cake balls are too sweet? Any ideas for making them less sweet? I usually put canned frosting inside the cake balls

Wow that is amazing, you made a mix between cake balls ans the American flag. Not many people can do that. (especially me *sniff*) I wish me and my Mumma could do this but…too busy.
