I’m sure most of you guys have heard of the Nintendo Wii by now. But, before Christmas rolled around, I had never even seen the Wii and had no desire to play one. (Not a big video gamer.) I had heard all about it though. How you can create characters (Miis) to resemble yourself and play games like bowling and golf and tennis… all with a remote. You’ve seen the commercials, with everyone looking silly in front of their TV, punching at invisible objects. (That’s the boxing game, by the way.)
Then, for Christmas, my sister got one, my best friend got one and my aunt won one at her Christmas Party. Everywhere I went, I was surrounded by cartoon versions of my friends and family bowling and playing tennis. All of the sudden, I had to have one. So, a few days and five stores later, I too was the proud owner of a shiny white box of fun.
And it is fun! On New Year’s Eve, we bowled for almost eight hours straight. We couldn’t stop. I’m sure there’s a bunch of you that know exactly what I’m talking about. And for the record, my niece rocks at bowling. She has a high score of 254 and she’s only seven. I’m… well…I’m not seven, but I can’t beat her for the life of me. (She likes to remind me of it, too.)
Anyway, we’ve had such a great time playing this thing, that I wanted to spread the fun. So here’s a little giveaway with a big prize.

I just stopped in to see when the Pick Mii was over and I noticed you mentioning whether anyone recommends the Wii Fit. We got it post Christmas and have really enjoyed the cutesy Balance Board and the game factor. We however have done some informal, subjective testing. For instance, if you do a full Body test at the beginning (checks your weight and balance, and then asks you to do two balance tests) then after 30 minutes do another tests the results are completely different. Like I lost 2 pounds in 30 minutes. 30 minutes of exercise takes 45-50 minutes real time because of the menu navigation. Overall recommendation: Keep your health and exercise goals and add this as a fun healthy game night. I’d say with the family, but they would just sit around and watch you hula hoop and yoga pose for an hour, and yes they do laugh at you.

Holy Moly! You are giving away a Wii! How sweet! I love the Wii and I love how your cupcakes look exactly like the Miis. It was hard for me to pick yours. My gut was D, but then I looked through some pictures and thought my final answer will have to be “C”, because she has blonde hair, green eyes, and from what I can tell you do too as well as the same side part and bangs.
The Wii Fit is great! It is lots of fun and I like the exercise you can get on it. It focuses on balance, but has other exercises too: yoga, strength training and aerobic things too. I spent about an hour on it one day and my legs were sore the next day.
I am hoping it’s “B”, these are so cute, I love this blog!
