I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.
I love this store.
The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.
But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.
There are loaf pans…
… not to be confused with bread pans.
Bundt-style pans in various designs.
Angel food cake pans.
Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)
Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.
How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.
But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.
And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.
But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.
But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.
What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?
Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!
Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!
What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.
And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.
If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.
- Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
- Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
- Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
- Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
- Deadline to enter is
Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m.TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.
* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.
Good luck!
Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…
Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.
Hello there want to find out if you south Africa based and were about tank you

I love ALL tiny, baby or mini size pans. They are just too cute and just perfect for those individual treats that I love to bake!!
I wish I could go there. I would go nuts!!!!!!!!
Where did you find the little flower cutter for the cupcake pops? I found a small cookie cutter, gradulated sizes but its still too large. I found that when I rolled the cake balls into rolls that they were too small for the cutter. You can’t make them too big. I love your website. Also where can I find the Martha Stewart segment on the cupcake pop? I could watch it every day. Thanks
Lol – I’ve been trying to figure out if you live near me and this has to nail it for me. I’m in this store ALL the time – my school is right around the corner – huge fan! thank you so much and maybe someday – somehow…we can bake together :)
Thank you again for everything you do – I’m a baking student that is trying to conquer my issue with thinking “outside of the box” and your blog has helped inspire me!
i want make for cake that like my business
To be honest… I would love any of the pans from the teny tiny to the graduals. I am just starting my collection of pans and really don’t have very many to pick from. Or how about the hexigon ones. I love to try different things. I even tried to make the topsy turvy and had problems, but will not stop yet. It is relaxing to bake.
I would really like the ice cream cake pan. That looks so cute and would enjoy making them for my niece/nephew or even my office.
As best as I can tell one has angled edges and one has straight. I'm sure the straight one has something to do with yeast rising as opposed to baking. But I've never made bread so your guess is as good as mine.
What is the difference in a loaf pan and a bread pan? I think I know but want to make sure.
I LOVE THAT STORE!
Sorry, but I just had to get that out there. I went yesterday after my dentist appointment, which is right down the street. I only bought a couple things, but I really wanted to buy EVERYTHING!
:D
Please help me!!!My daughter and I have baked 3 cakes trying to make cake pops. They either fall off the stick, crack when put into vanilla bark, are dry and won't make good balls, are too wet and still crumble. Please help. Yours are so beautiful, round and stay on the stick. We are trying very hard and want to have some success. Please help us!!

I would love the square individual pans. Perfect for petit fours and I HAAAATTE cutting them!
Nicole – The one on this post is in Atlanta. There's a link in the story and you can get their address.
Melissa – No. It was another Melissa. Sorry.
Sophie Burns – Sorry, I don't really know of any other stores.
ive been looking to find a large rectangular cake pan to make an xbox cake! so id love one of those!
I am SO jealous of your proximity to this fabulous store!! Aisle after aisle of baking and cake-popping goodness. Do you know of any equivalent in Northern California? It is slim pickings around here.
I wish I would have found this site sooner! Great pans.
Bakerella I love your blog, and I love cooking. I really wish I could go to the supply store! I am thirteen and I love to cook!! My favourite things to cook are Asian foods and SWEETS!!
I live in Atlanta also, McDonough actually, and love Cake Art. My mom & I used to go to the store when it was still on Memorial Drive. I equate going to Cake Art to my husband going to Bass Pro Shop….."surely there is something in here I can use!"….and "surely I'll find a reason to use this!". I love that store, I'm thankful that I'm still 30 minutes from it, any closer and I'd be in trouble!!
Bakerella, I love your blog. I'm so jealous of your cake supply store. Can you find one as great as this in Southern California? The only thing close for me is Micheals.
I am planning my sons 1st birthday party and the theme is Mickey Mouse clubhouse. Do you have any ideas or have you ever made any type of mickey mouse cake pops? I really want to make some for his party I think they are adorable. Let me know Thanksa
That is ssssoo cool! It would take me everything to do not spend…
Did you see Martha Stewart today?
All I could think was CAKE POPS through the entire candy segment.
how fun! what a great giveaway! congrats to Melissa!
WOW! :D
Wow!! :D
the cake pans, bread pans are looking very gorgeous because they are in silver colour and the presence of cartoon in it makes the picture very fantastic.

Do they have dinosaur pans? And I thought loaf pans WERE bread pans. Wow. Shows how little I know!
Oh wow…that store looks awesome! I could spend some serious cash in there :)

Oh my goodness! Really wish I have a magic wand so that I can make myself be in this store right this instance!
OMG I had no idea you were in GA, I've been following this blog a while and had no idea you were near me! I just checked out the pan site and about freaked out that I can drive there! I will be visiting it! Thank you for the knowledge! (and no thank you for the hit my checkbook will take) hehe!

ii
I wonder if i'm the winner. does she email you
Dear Backerella,
I always love your blogs about the great cake supply stores you have in the States, but since I life in The Netherlands I can only dream about this kind of shopping…but now I am in NY state(Tarrytown) on a family visit, so could you please give me some great tips on Manhattan supply stores? We will also go to DC, Houston and maybe Atlanta(Marietta) later on, so if you have any tips?? Thank you!Greetings from Nicole! P.s. Isn't jetlag great? Everyone is still asleep and I get to read you blog online, jippy!!
love the heart shaped pans and the mini cake pans and the donut pans and oh I could go on and on, but the mini cake pans and the hearts would be the most fun with my two little girls.
Okay, that's it. Winner has been announced! Thanks for playing everyone.
there's soo many!! I think the itty bitty ones are cute!! :D
I just LOVE reading what your doing next. It is such a treat to come and indulge in your sweet world of baking. If I win I would love a big muffin pan. I always see those muffins in the store but can never get them to look fantabulous…
I just LOVE reading what your doing next. It is such a treat to come and indulge in your sweet world of baking. If I win I would love a big muffin pan. I always see those muffins in the store but can never get them to look fantabulous…
I just love your blog- I know out of all these people I don't stand a chance- but I wanted to tell you how creative and insightful and talented I think you are. Your blog is like a mini vacation for me- a retreat from the stress of the world. Thanks for sharing it all with us….but just in case I do win…I adore baby pans- any thing miniature I think is so adorable- that's why I am addicted to your little cutie cupcake pops- too too cute;) (myashtyn@yahoo.com)
I would love to have a collection of the hexagonal graduated pans. How fun would that be with my little girls?!
That store looks amazing! I wish we had a place like that here. Our budget would be in sooo much trouble, so I guess it is better that we don't. But if we did, I would definitely get s square muffin/bar pan. I've been wanting one of those ever since I first saw on, on someones blog. And if I had any left over, I would get a mini springform pan. I love all things mini by the way. You are very generous!
Anything mini! I'm obsessed with tiny things, and I love baking such! I got a book at few weeks ago with 94 recipes of mini sweet treats, including brownies, cookies, cakes, tarts, and anything your little heart could desire! Having the pans to cook them all up would make MY little heart go pitter-pat! Come on, lucky 4151! :)

vertigoxcured@gmail.com i dont know if i made the deadline!!
Yes, I'm late, but you never know. I'm simple – a set of 2 9" or 8" round cake pans. OR, a flat cookie sheet. My needs are simple.
Oops, forgot my contact info: der_teufel_ist_hier@hotmail.com
I would love the cupcake ice cream cones, or any of the mini-minis, or the cool ones to make letters and numbers because my toddler is very into spelling his name. I'd be pretty happy with anything because I have a limited supply of cake pans.
Oh i would definitely love the teeny tiny pans aside the sprinkler container! Love your blog Bakerella.
i'm in love with your web site. thank you for so many great ideals. i would really like a set of the round cake pans. One of my friends has a wedding coming up and i would love to be able to make her cake for her.
I sure do like those square pans! Maybe you could pick me?
how clever of a pan to have blocks in it for creating what you need!
My mum started to make and decorate cakes as a hobby about 15 years ago and has become really very good. She inspires me to try, and so for my daughter's first birthday, I bought a super cute, but huge cup cake shape pan, it was a total success…I still have a long way to go but know that with practice I will improve. Thank you for also being a huge inspiration to me, I have tried a few of your recipes and can't wait to try more. The cake pans all look fantastic!
I love the square muffin pan and the small round graduated size pan. Love them all!
i think your wekb site is so great. i'm in love with your cake pops. i would love to have a set of the round cake pans.

I love baking, and these cute pans would make it that much better! thanks for your entertainment :)
I need these…"individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans
Is it bad that I don't know what I need (or want) I'm just getting into baking and your blog is wonderful. So far I've made the bourbon cupcakes and the brownies with pb cups.
With all of that said, I have a bundt pan, angel food pan, cookie sheets, and muffin tins. The rest are glass or ceramic which I heard aren't good for baking … so maybe just a starter set of round and rectangle?
I just adore those gorgeous Bundt pans!
That is cake pan heaven!!!
oh, the teeny pans are awesome! imagine all the tiny cakes you can eat and still say, it was only a tiny piece of cake! heh….
Love the cake store. Wish in was in Arizona.
I kinda like the square muffin pans! The are really cute and unique! Thanks!
I'd like those cupcake pans that make straight-sided cupcakes (there is a different term for these confections, but I can't remember what) or that very cool pan with all the squares. or… heck. They are all so cool…
Enjoyed the article about the cake pans. Wish it was in Arizona.

That is a crazy amount of pans for one store. The stores near me might have 20 pans and that's it. The sea of gray is very cool.
frogsarecool at gmail dot com
