I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.
I love this store.
The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.
But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.
There are loaf pans…
… not to be confused with bread pans.
Bundt-style pans in various designs.
Angel food cake pans.
Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s
… they even have a cute name.)
Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.
How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.
But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.
And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.
But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.
But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.
What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?
Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!
Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!
What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.
And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.
If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.

I could really use some great cookie sheets. My oven is a little on the narrow side and its hard for me to get a regular sized pan in it without tipping it on its side. But then I have to rotate it halfway through the baking session!

Oh my goodness! I love kitchen stores and restaurant supply stores! I never want to leave. I just love the ice cream cone muffin pan. Too cute. My 6 year old grandson and I would love decorating those.

I'd have to say that since I have next to no cake/bread pans, I'd let you have the run of the store and surprise me – they're all so much fun!
Wow! This looks like an AWESOME store! I would just be in heaven walking around in it, having my head spinning thinking of all the things I'd want to bake! If I had to choose, and it's hard to choose, I'd pick the little mini pans or the ice cream cupcakes, or the angel food pans… or… LOL

What I would love to have is mini layer cake pans. The size that would serve 4-6. My children's birthdays are one day apart and they are old enough now that they want to help make their own cakes. As much as I love cake or maybe I should say BECAUSE I love cake, I certainly don't need two 9" layer cakes in my house at one time. I was thinking hearts for my girlie girl and round for my future cooking show host.
Hey from Greece (again). So, pans ha? Mmmm, I think my daughters would love a Strawberry Shortcake pan. Or a graduated set… Or a castle bundt cake pan… Or whatever… Here in Greece there aren't any stores like this, so anything would be great.

What a great store, I have a thing for cake pans, I have a football stadium, a sand castle, vintage airplane and the list goes on… I really need new cupcake pans. I'm going to visit the Las Vegas Bakery when I next visit my son. He's a police officer in Vegas.

I love cake pans! You're right, despite the grayness, it's really rather uplifting to think of all the wonderful cakes to be made with so many pans! I like the graduated ones! (And the itty bitty ones…adorable!) But, if I had to pick…I'd probably get the most use out of the graduated ones :)

I think I would go nuts looking at that many pans…I'd choose anything unique and pretty or a set of small pans (so I can bake cakes, breads, brownies, in a perfect size to give away in individual or small family-size portions…) Thanks for all the great ideas!

I've always thought the pans that make your cupcake look like ice cream cones were soo cute! Those type of pans are cool. I always find myself staring at the bundt pans that make the cakes look like different things like a train, butterflies, beehive, etc!
Awesome place to shop!! The ones that stood out for me were the ice cream shaped cupcakes. It would be so fun to make and share :)

That store looks like so much fun! I wish I lived near one like that. The pan I would choose would probably be one of those mini ones. They are so cute and I am such a sucker for miniature things!
the pan esile is a dream come true! i would LOVE some large tartlet pans, some mini pans or the blocks that make numbers and letters. my oven has been broken for a couple months and i just ordered a new one! i would love to break it in with a new pan!!

Boring, but I am in the market for an 8" round cake pan that is 3" deep. I just haven't had a chance to go to the store to get one.

I would have died and gone to heaven to see all of those cake pans. I am a self taught baker and live in a small town where I have to order everything I need to drive 1 1/2 hours to get it. But now that you have shown us this website I am going to start ordering from there. If I did win I would like for you to choose what I get. I am not picky I use everything I have and I could always use more. Your the greatest!
