Pantastic!

I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.

I love this store.

PANS

The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.

But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.

Loaf Pans

There are loaf pans…

Bread Pans

… not to be confused with bread pans.

Bundt Pans

Bundt-style pans in various designs.

Angel Food Cake Pans

Angel food cake pans.

Tartlet Pans

Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)

Doughnut Pans

Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.

Square Muffin Pans

How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.

Small Graduated Pans

But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.

Graduated Pans

And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.

Heart Pans

But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.

Teddy Bear Pans

But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.

Shaped Pans

What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?

Ice Cream Cone Pan

Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!

Mini Pans

Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!

Cookie Sheet Pans

What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.

Number Pan

And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.

If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.

It’s a Pick a Pan Giveaway!
  • Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
  • Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
  • Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
  • Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
  • Deadline to enter is Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m. TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.

* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.

Good luck!

Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…

Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.

  132. An ice cream cone shaped pan! That is so awesome! I love that! Never seen it before. You have a huge following my friend! LOL I just found your blog in the last month and just love it!

  133. those ice cream cone pans look like a lot of fun!

  134. What an amazing place!

I love the ice cream cone pan and the square muffin pan. I reminds me of the yummy tea cakes at a local bakery.

  135. I really need some plain ole cookie sheets! I've been making do with two faux sheets, they're actually smaller jelly roll pans, that I bought cheap when I got married almost 23 years ago and they are so so sad. Bent and twisted and warped and rusted. So while I'm drooling over all of the fancy pans, it would be cookie sheets for me!

  136. Wow! A graduated set of hexagon pans would be fantastic for the wedding cake that I have to make in a few weeks. I was going to cut round ones in a hexagon shape but if I win, I won't have to do that. Pick meeeeeeeeeeeeeee, please! This is the greatest blog ever, by the way:)

  137. Fun store!! I would love the ice cream cone shaped pan. Second choice would be the assortment of the itty bitty baby size pans.

    Patsy

  138. I am banned from my kitchen. I know this is not the right way to enter a baking contest, however, it is true. My husband is the cook, always has been and always will be. Early on in our marriage, we learned my capabilities or lack there of, in the kitchen when I walked away from a pot of instant potatoes and they boiled over onto the floor. However, I am hopeful that if I have some new baking supplies, he may let me back into the kitchen. I love cupcakes. And after reading your post, I fell head over heels for the ice cream shaped cupcake pans. Awesome! So please Bakerella, pick me, and help me to gain re-entrance to my kitchen! Thanks!

  139. I would want all the teeny-weeny little pans to sit on my shelf so I can stare at their amazing shrunken cuteness!

  140. Ok, I won't take up every little bit of your blog space trying to decide which I'd take! Maybe the tiny graduated circles (or squares?) or maybe a bunch of little pans – or maybe a fancy-schmancy bundt pan. Or maybe i'd do what I'd do in real life and ask to win the NEED (cookie sheets) instead of the WANT. sigh. I also LOVE the square muffin-type pan. OH! However will I decide?!?!?!

  141. I'm thinking that ice cream cone pan would be awesome. I've been wanting to make those but haven't figured out how to go about it – that would be perfect..

  142. I want all of them!

  143. I need new pans! I think I would bake more (family will smile) if I have newer pans. Love your blog!!

  144. Oh my I would love to visit that store. There just isn't anything like that where I live. I would love a set of graduated pans.

  145. Ooh, ooh! I really need to replace my bread pans (not to be confused with loaf pans) and I really love the square muffin pan – I've seen these before and wanted one but have never taken the plunge.

  146. I love the ice cream pans! So cute!

  147. I love different/odd shaped pans. They are great to do all sorts of cakes, loaves, ect in. That is why I would like the square muffin pan..regular, mini, large…all or one would be great!

  148. Oh, I would love this store! I don't have an angel food pan or any round cake pans, so that would be nice. I do like the donut one also. But the teenie, weenie ones…those are so cute! I really can't decide. How about I let YOU choose if I'm the winner? Surprise me! :)

  151. That is one crazy store! I wish I lived where you did so I could go there! But, no, I live in small town Iowa :( oh well! I would probably get some graduated cake pans because it seems like I can never find cake pans in our house! the hexagon pans would be fun to try. I've never made a hexagon cake!

    Thanks!

  152. I love the cone cupcake pan and I need a new cookie sheet and WOW the square muffin pan is very interesting. I LOVE them all!
I would love to win and any pan would do!

  153. Holy cow, what a store!!! I need to go on a hunt for a store like that in my neighborhood. If there is anything in the area I will have to condition myself to not have a heart attack due to all the excitement.

I'm totally digging the multi-square pan to make "not-so-petit fours," or "grand-fours" … take your pick!

    Thanks for the consideration!

  154. Ahh Bakerella, you're killing me!!! you're making me choose? I'm just kidding:) This is a very generous giveaway! I think I'll need to take a visit to this store sometime very soon. It's not too far from where I live.

I'm in love with all things tiny, so I think I'd go with the adorable mini ones, or maybe a set of those fabulous graduated ones.

  155. I had NO IDEA there were bread pans as well as loaf pans. I certainly would "knead" a bread pan if I were to be chosen. What a fun website yours is!

  156. those are so darn cute! eeeek!

  157. Thank you! I would LOVE the assortment of itty bitty teeny-tiny pans! They are so cute!

  163. First let me say I could live in this store, I would never want to leave I would bake and decorate 24/7. I think I would like the the heart pans since I don't have them yet but then the small square set is a very close second what to do, that's it I want the heart set pans anyway I'll take the wholestore

  164. Good thing for my budget that I don't live near this store! New bread pans would be the best choice for my kitchen….maybe not the most fun choice, though. Those teeny tiny pans and the graduated sizes are amazing! Thanks for the little tour and for the giveaway.

  165. Oh my heavens! I am in LOVE with the ice cream shaped pan! I have never seen one like that. I am tempted to drive to GA just to find a great store like this!!!

  166. Wow, I want them all! But I would really love some jumbo muffins, and a collection of itsy bitsy pans!

  167. That looks like such a fun store! For awhile I've wanted a set of graduated pans so I could make layered cakes, or just really small round cakes. I think that would be fun!

  168. OMG! i just found your site and i think i am in love!!

i can't even imagine a store filled with nothing but baking pans – it would be like Vegas to me – I would have to leave all credit cards in the car!!

i love the graduated cake pan set – would be so fun to try out the really big ones (my oven loves a challenge). i also love the cupcake pan that is shaped like an ice cream cone – so fun!

    love this site!!

  169. So many pans, so little time. I have recently become obsessed with looking at different types cakes and wishing I had the talent to make such beautiful creations.

  170. What amazing choices! I've always wanted to try the graduated pans – and they even come in HEXAGONS?!! However, those teeny tiny pans are way cute! I like making mini-muffins to take places for group events, so I think I'd actually use them!

  171. Ooooh I like the tartlet pans

  172. I love the ice cream shaped cupcake pan. Wilton also has a Dimensions Giant Cupcake Pan. I am getting that one for my baby girls 1st b-day. Thanks for the chance to win

  173. I was amazed to see you had over 3400 comments already! How does it feel to be so famous? I was thinking how much I love paper, and then you start me off on a new addiction! LOL! I love the ice cream cone cupcakes and also the blocks. Ooh, those would be good for the new grandbaby! What fun! Made the "hamburger and french fries" for the Fourth. They were a big hit! Thank you!

  174. I love the "little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand" and would love to win a set! Or maybe the one with the boxes that you can make numbers and letters with. Seeing all of those pans makes me want to go bake something right now!

  175. My sister and I would go nuts in a store like that. I so wish they had one close to us. I would take any pans that you wanted to give us, we would try anything, the little one's are the cutest and you can try different things in them. I am so glad we found your blog….

  176. Thanks Bakerella for taking us inside such an amazing store…can't believe that all of those pans are in one place. I have been searching for a brioche pan everywhere. My daughter gave me an amazing french cookbook and thought the two of us could learn brioche together. Then, the minis are ideal for baking treats to give away. Wouldn't it be fun to bake a life size snowman in the summer? Hmmm, I wonder what else you could do….

  177. You are fantastic. I am overjoyed at the possiblity of getting new pans. I would love the icecream cones or new cookie sheets. Thank you

  178. I love all those gorgeous graduated cake pans! Think of all the layer cakes!

  179. I have just started reading blogs and trying to decide how to start one. Yours is always so inspiring. I live in Atlanta and am in need of a pan in the shape of a PINEAPPLE as that will be the theme for this year for our Newcomers Club. It is the international sign for hospitality and I am hoping to welcome our new members throughout the year w/ a cake shaped like a pineapple. I have not been able to find one yet!! Maybe your store, by the looks of it, is just the place to find one. Keep up the great blog…it is very inspiring.

  180. WOW, what an amazing shop! All that metal is mesmerizing, I especially would love to have the tiny ones, so cute!

  181. I'm stuck… I'd either have to go with the regular cupcake pans or the cute little teeny tiny pans.

  182. I think I would like square graduated pans, or circle ones, and I love the square muffin pan. I would really like to just go to that store!

  183. I'm in love with the ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. How fun would it be to make these for a party?

  184. Soooo many choices!!!hmmm.
I think i'll have to make a trip down to the U.S. just so I can go to this store.
I would love an assortment of mini tart and various shaped cake pans.

  185. The ice cream cone cupcake pan is just too cute not to have!! But, I would love to get some tiny bunt cake pans to make individual bunt cakes for everyone at fun get togethers! So many ideas are running through my head right now! Thanks!

  186. I could get lost, happily, in this store for days! Love pans! Love all the possibilities

  187. Lucky me–I live 8 minutes away from Cake Art! My favorite thing to shop for is boxes of every size for the multitude of cookies I bake and give away! And the people who work there are so nice!!

  188. They all look great but I think I would want the ice cream cone pan. My girls would think they had died and gone to heaven when I served them an ice cream c…wait! it's a cupcake!

  189. I would love to visit this store. Thanks for sharing the photos.
I would love to try the square muffin pan or a really decorative
bundt pan. Thanks for your give-a-ways but most of all for sharing your red velvet cake ball recipe. Such an awesome recipe, my friends love them and the ones I made for the Cancer Walk were a success. Thanks for your help on that one. Malinda

  190. Giant nuffin pans sound great. I would love to try carrot cake muffins in a giant muffin pan.

  191. As boring as it is, what I really need are some 9" round cake pans. I only have 8" ones and more and more I'm finding I need the 9" versions. Would love to be able to browse around that store and see what's there!

  192. WOW! It must be great to have such a wonderful place to shop. I think it would be fun to have the individual ice cream pan. :-)

  193. I would be happy with any pan that you picked out for me. I am in serious need of a pan make-over.
Your blog is great by the way.

  194. i really need good 8" round cake pans……….or the really cute little hearts…..tough. i hioe to win! why? because my 6mo old has a cold and i have way too much homework to do this week before finals.

  196. You have sent my heart a flutter. I absolutely love to shop in store that sell culinary supplies. I would die for a double set of hexagon pans to supplement my collection. I have been lusting after those and the contour pans. Alas, I have a son and tuition payments to make so and a husband who is unemployed as a result of the economy. I have to delay my fulfillment. Until then I will live vicariously though your pictures. Thanks for sharing

  197. I would be happy with any pan that you picked out for me. I am in serious need of a pan make-over.
Your blog is great by the way.

  198. What a store! How fun!!! I would love a springform pan or a bundt pan.
I don't have either. You are my idol!

  199. Ooooooh! A graduated set would be amazing.
    Or an interesting cupcake pan…..
    >_<
    So many choices!

  200. Why is there not a store like this around where I live? I could easily blow my whole paycheck at a place like that! There's so many to choose from – the bread pans, cookie sheets, graduated pans, teeny tiny pans… I don't know what I would choose! If I was there, I would get one of everything!
