I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.
I love this store.
The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.
But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.
There are loaf pans…
… not to be confused with bread pans.
Bundt-style pans in various designs.
Angel food cake pans.
Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s
… they even have a cute name.)
Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.
How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.
But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.
And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.
But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.
But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.
What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?
Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!
Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!
What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.
And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.
If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.

My husband and I just set up a new system for a budget so I am afraid baking supplies will have to wait for some time…thanks to you for a chance at a give away! I would love the small square muffin looking pan – my new favorite cake to make is my Aunt's Rum cake and we always make it in square pans, and I'd love to make individuals. And I would also like that tiny pan for petits fours, I have all kinds of wedding and baby showers that would be wonderful for. Or even that letters and numbers pan as I love making cakes for birthday's and other events and it would be cool to spell it out! Can't wait to see who wins!

Oh goodness, I just recently foudn your blog…I made the cheesecake recipe this weekend, plain however, and it was FANTASTIC!!! I have had a springform since a wedding shower and never used it…anyway, I am not sure what pan I would choose…but gosh what a treat! I need an Excellent cookie sheet that doesn't brown the cookies…or oh, maybe the ice cream cone pan, that might be fun.

I love the pan that makes the letters and numbers. Since it is smaller, you could use it to make numbers, then put them on top of a sheet pan. That would be one that I could definitely justify! :)
Like so many of us, I would love to have a collection of the mini pans. Not only are they cute, but they are practical. Living in an adult household with smaller amounts to cook for… I need to scale down desserts as well as meals. Mini pans mean the perfect sized desserts for 2-3 people.

After years of wanting a child I now have my Abbie, adopted from Guatemala. I like to bake her treats and unique pans will only make it more fun.
This summer I've made 2 wedding cakes for people I know that have asked me and I have a few more coming up. I have the graduated circle pans but I've been wishing that someone would ask for a hexagon wedding cake so I would have an excuse to buy the graduated hexagon pnas. I want to live by this store! You know how people's mouth's water when they see delicious food, well my waters seeing all the awesome stuff this store has!! Sigh…Anyway, if I won…I would definitely want the number pan you pictured at the end of your blog entry. The one where you move the small blocks around to create numbers. That would be so awesome for my kids as they grow up for each birthday!

See this is just too hard to choose! So many options but I think I would have to go with the square muffin pans. Either regular or mini. I think the regular would make nice size individual cakes and the mini would make great bite size cakes! I have never made square cakes before!

Oh, and by the way, my friend (who lives in Atlanta) told me how she was going to "some store called Cake Art" this past weekend to get some stuff for her son's birthday party and I felt like I had already been in the store! LOL! I said "it's not 'some store' it's CAKE ART!" LOL! In any event, if I were so lucky to win a pan or two, I'd like to have cupcake tins and maybe a cookie sheet. ;o)
That store looks absolutely wonderful! I'm looking for 9" straight sided round pans. For some reason the ones I always find have slightly angled sides and it makes it hard to get a nice looking layer cake.

I *heart* this store and wish we had one that was even remotely like this here in my home town. I would love a springform pan to make homemade cheesecake, because Cheesecake balls are next on my list of things to try!! If not a springform pan, then I would love an oversized muffin pan!

I would love that little rearrangable block pan! I've also see the big one but never the little one. I would go crazy from the possibilities in that store because I love cute little pans. I bet they have the mini tier cake pan that I've seen in pics. I wish I lived close to that store.

Amazing how many types of pans are available! I'd probably go for another 9×13 pan and some novelty pans: graduated heart pans, teddy bears, etc., whatever you'd pick (surprise me)!

wish I had a store like this near where I live. I'd be spending all my time there. can't choose I love all the pans. but I'll try the mini square muffin pan. I love making muffins. the 3-1/8 x 1-1/2 siliconflex briochette bakeware. daughter just got married. hopeing for a new grandbaby soon. will make cute baby bassinets. I'm going to be be real greedy. the ice cream shaped cupcake pan for all my grandkids.

I make cheesecakes. Last Christmas I made 31 and a bunch of mini's. So a cheesecake pan, or maybe a cake pan for a water bath. I have been drooling on their site for 2+ years.

My mom had a care bear pan growing up and it was always so fun when she would make sure a care bear cake for our birthdays, it never got old. I have a baby boy. I am not sure him or his father would appreciate me making care bear cakes for the kid, so I would boy any other boy themed cake pan.
I have some kiddos who would be so excited for me to win the ice cream cone pan, but I think the mini tier cake pan is so incredibly cute, too! (Oh, and I had no idea there was such a need for "comma" cakes!)

i want/need (same thing, right?) some mini loaf pans, oooh and one of those cute brownie pans that already has the squares, and a new cookie sheet, and… just kidding. i could totally go on.
Oh how I wish they had a store near me…or maybe it's safer that they don't. I would love some different sizes of squares and circles. I do wedding cakes but only have one of each size and have to wash and re-use…takes a long time that way. Thanks for the contest, fun stuff!
