Pantastic!

I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.

I love this store.

PANS

The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.

But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.

Loaf Pans

There are loaf pans…

Bread Pans

… not to be confused with bread pans.

Bundt Pans

Bundt-style pans in various designs.

Angel Food Cake Pans

Angel food cake pans.

Tartlet Pans

Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)

Doughnut Pans

Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.

Square Muffin Pans

How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.

Small Graduated Pans

But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.

Graduated Pans

And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.

Heart Pans

But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.

Teddy Bear Pans

But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.

Shaped Pans

What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?

Ice Cream Cone Pan

Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!

Mini Pans

Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!

Cookie Sheet Pans

What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.

Number Pan

And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.

If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.

It’s a Pick a Pan Giveaway!
  • Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
  • Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
  • Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
  • Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
  • Deadline to enter is Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m. TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.

* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.

Good luck!

Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…

Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.

  34. I believe you have found mecca! I don't know about everyone else, I have so many pans – hearts, rounds, minis, elmo, etc – but isn't it funny, you never seem to have one to make the shape you want at the time. The pan I've been keeping my eye on for the past few months is a half-size bundt pan – I have 3 full size pans, but when the holidays roll around, I can never have enough:-)

  54. Well I was just told about your site and I would have to say that by looking at all those pans it makes me want to go and bake something. Just looking at all that stuff inside that store just makes so happy. Love that store btw!

  63. I have twin girls turning 3 in September and they're already talking about their Dora party. So a Dora pan would be great. I would also love the Strawberry Shortcake pan (not the NEW Strawberry Shortcake)(The SS from the 80s). I had that birthday cake with I was 3, I think.

  64. I'd love a set of round graduated pans. I want to attempt my fate for the first time with fondant.

  65. would love giant muffin pans and donut pans! i make lots of muffins and i don't eat deep fried foods anymore but love love love donuts! and maybe another cookie sheet. and i also need a new bundt pan, as my old one stopped being nonstick and the cakes stopped coming out whole. now that is disaster! ok, i better stop now!

  160. I LOVED the little cupcake ice cream cone pan, so I would like that one. And if there's $$ left, I'd probably get an assortment of little pans!

Thanks so much for a great post and a great contest!

  161. I would love the donut one. My mom has a set but I never realised that their for donuts! You could do so much! I wish we had a store like that in BC Canada.

  162. My daughter has caught the cupcake bug and would love some of these pans for inspiration. She is 14 and has been making rainbow cupcakes with white cake mix and food coloring. I'll have to show her your website! Thanks.

  163. OOOH!! I have a pan fetish!! I would love the one with blocks that you can move around – How cool!

  167. The ice cream cone pans are adorable! I need to visit that store. :)

  168. As a brand new grandmother, I think I'd get years of smiles out of that ice cream cone pan…at least I'd have a hoot with it!

  169. I would love to have a cute bundt pan! I don't have any bundt pans. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  170. I'm totally a cupcake girl. But the heart shaped pans and hexagon pans look adorable. Plus- with a hexagon pan it's sure to be easier to cut slices!

  171. Those mini pans for petifores are great for my lover.

    Vict0rlai@yahoo.com

  174. Ummm, how could I ever choose one kind of pan?! Graduated maybe, a tart pan, a fancy bundt pan…. any of those would do… or any at all!

  175. I am a big fan of yours from Singapore ever since I saw you in the Martha Stewart's show. I am amazed by your creativity and you bring so much joy and cheer to my days when I see your pictures. Just incredible ideas! I wish I have your imagination and skills for going into small details. Keep up the good work and know that you have fans over this part of the world. BTW, I saw this latest post on pans and thought I would enter the contest since we don't really have a variety of pans available here. As I bake cheesecakes and mousse cakes, I would love a heart shaped removable bottom pan. Unfortunately I do not have a blog so may qualify. It's ok! Hopefully someday I will get to the US and visit one of these shops. I think I will go MAD!

    Regards,
    Rosa

  176. What a fun store! I would love a set of graduated round pans so I can make an attempt at a tiered cake!

  179. OMG! Those mini pans are too cute and the possibilites are endless! That square muffin pan is great too! I think I would have to get a second job if I had a store like that near me. Can you ever really have too many different cake pans? Thanks Bakerella for all your great stuff.

  180. I've been wanting to get a set of round graduated pans for a while..so that would have to be my choice!

I love that store! I so need to find one like that around where I live!

  181. I would love to have some round graduated pans in odd sizes. If there aren't any, those hexagon pans would do.

Thanks Bekerella for giving everyone to have the oppurtunity to join this contest.

  182. I want… no, NEED, a cheesecake or tartlet pan. Pretty please?78cahoon78

  183. Thats a lot of pans :O … I would love to have all, but if I had to pick, I would get an assortment of round pans…

My second choice would be an assoritment of mini pans… they look sooooo cute, and already have so many ideas for them lol.

  184. Wow I would have a tough time choosing.

  185. I would definitely go for some graduated round cake pans, since I do not own any true cake pans…here's hoping I win!

  186. That ice cream cone pan is just too cute and that square muffin pan.. I am so jealous of your store! The selection you have over there is absolutely amazing. We have nothing like that here in Sweden

  187. I really like the graduated cake pans and the loaf pans.

  188. I think the ice cream cupcake pans are so cute!
    melanie.tauscher@gmail.com

  189. I would go cross-eyed in there – so fabulous!
I think the pans I would really have fun with would be the graduated rounds – imagine the possibilities!!

  190. Love bundt pans!!!! I especially love the one with the flowers on it you took a picture of! I would actually like to start a collection…and this is a good way to start!

or a tart pan for well..tarts! and cheescakes =oP

  192. The ice cream cone pans are genius! Love them!!

  193. Wow – I didn't know there were actually "bread" pans. I've been making bread in loaf pans all along. Sheesh. Well, bread bans would be an important pick so my bread would look like bread instead of loaf. But more importantly, I love the ice cream molds. So fun.

  194. I have a soft spot for pans that make your cakes look like other items, such as a castle pan, the ice cream cone pan, butterflies, etc. They're all too cute!

  195. I could really use an extender or two for my half sheet pans. but if they didn't have those I would settle for a half sheet rectangular cake pan

  196. As someone just recently getting into baking goodies, I think I would love to experiment with the doughnut pan. Knowing me, I'd probably try to cook round cupcakes, or blueberry muffin doughnuts. :)

  198. holy cow! that's some pans man! Although I'd like to say I really want them all, to narrow it down, I think I'd like some good quality graduated cake pans. Somehow I never have the size I need.

  199. Oh how fun your life is Bakerella! I would spend hours in a bake store like that! But what to get??!! I make a great pumpkin spice bundt cake that would love a new cute pan, or some fun muffin tins for the kids breakfast treats… oh I just love surprise too!
