I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.
I love this store.
The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.
But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.
There are loaf pans…
… not to be confused with bread pans.
Bundt-style pans in various designs.
Angel food cake pans.
Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)
Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.
How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.
But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.
And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.
But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.
But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.
What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?
Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!
Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!
What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.
And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.
If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.
- Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
- Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
- Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
- Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
- Deadline to enter is
Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m.TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.
* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.
Good luck!
Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…
Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.
Ohhhh, I just started a cake decorating class so this would be great!! The graduated pans would be lots of fun!
zeelandchick@sbcglobal.net
Oh, how cool! I love love that store now. Wish I could go there.
I would choose something like the doughnut pans, or ice cream shaped cupcake pans, or a small set of graduated pans. All so lovely.
I think a hexagonal shaped pan and maybe a ice cream cupcake one.
I'm still so amazed by this store. I would choose springform graduated pans, if those are available. If not, graduated pans would be just fine (I've just been waiting for the chance to buy springform pans for years, haha)
After reading all these posts I've managed to convince my boyfriend that he must take me to this store! We only live a couple hours north so it's not that bad. But I'd love to get a set of graduated square pans. I have to have them for a baby shower cake in September (whether I win them or not) but it'd be oh so nice save that money to spend on other cakey goodness.

Pick a pan?!?! I love cake pans…I have to try and resist the urge to buy them so my husband won't complain! lol But this would be a perfect Birthday present for me seeing as it is my birthday the day you pick the winner! I would love to do hexagon pans. I found this really cute design for baby shower cake for my best friend with the hexagon pans. Thanks, Kelly thekysers@zoominternet.net
I'd love a set of square graduated pans. One of my best friends is getting married next month, and she wants a square tiered cake for her shower. It would be great to suprise her with the one she showed me online!

I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw the square muffin pan. I've been needing something like that for a baby block cake I want to do! I also love the small number/letter pan…oh, the possibilities!
I have used and abused my cupcake pans and I'm in desperate need of a pan that holds more than a dozen! Get the job done in a faster manner!
hamcelheny@comcast.net

Personally, I would love love LOVE to spend all my money on the tinier graduated cake pans. :)
I love all the pans that you showed. Everytime I go to the store I try to buy some sort of pan whether it'd be cake pans, muffin pans, or cookie sheets :) But i have to admit I love the cake pan with the blocks in. I also love the small little cake pans.

melinda@keywood.us
I would love a tart pan with a removable ring….but any in that store will make me happy :)
Sorry- I forgot to tell you that I would really love a springform pan…I have all sorts of pans (bundt, round, square, mini cheesecake, muffin, tart, tartlet, mini bundt, etc.) but I have no springform and I want cheesecake- not the little ones I usually make but one big honkin cheesecake to eat- yum!

How thoughtful! I would be interested in the ice cream cone cupcakes:) Though, there are probably more…I'd go broke if this place was near me!

tiger73180@gmail.com
O.O So many lovely pans! If I had to choose, and Lord knows I could spend hundreds of dollars indulging, I'd have to go with the jumbo muffin pan, the 24-count mini muffin pan, and the 6-count mini loaf pan! *.* oh the possibilities… ^^V
I love the funky-fresh designs on those bundt pans! :)
Holy cow! I can only wish I had a store near me that had those kinds of pan choices! I would never leave if I ever walked in there! That or I'd be completely broke! How would one choose? How very generous of you to do this! Thank you for the opportunity! Best of luck to all!
I dont think there is anything better than a giant gray aisle of cake pans….ok maybe a giant aisle of sprinkles, or cupcake wrappers or food coloring or piping bags…..ok just this entire store is my idea of utopia!
Thank you for posting!
Well, I need a new dozen muffin pan, and more mini muffin pans, but I would ask you to pick some essentials for me. My daughter is almost 2, so it's getting to be time for me to bake cupcakes and birthday cakes.
I just love the hand-held set of graduated pans! Think of the adorable tiered cakes one could make with those!
Oh, I could spend so much money there…I'm probably lucky I live so far away! The graduated pans are a definite possibility…or, do they have mini springforms? I'd love to be able to make a bunch of little cheesecakes to give to my girlfriends! I don't know…which would you suggest?

Your cake store is so much bigger than mine! I'm so jealous. I think I would have to get some of the round graduated pans. I'm thinking of tackling a large tiered. cake soon, just to see if I can.

So many beautiful pans! After seeing some of the things you've posted on this blog and drooling over some various cake decorating sites, I would love to be able to try my hand at making cupcakes! But alas, I have no cupcake pans. Having an assortment of various sized cupcake tins would be heavenly.

I think those ice cream shaped cupcake pans are Dahhhh-rling! (it's the south!) Of course I'd love ANY of those—and I'm sure these wouldn't be practical, but it's like a present—presents shouldn't be practical, right? :)
