I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.
I love this store.
The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.
But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.
There are loaf pans…
… not to be confused with bread pans.
Bundt-style pans in various designs.
Angel food cake pans.
Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s
… they even have a cute name.)
Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.
How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.
But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.
And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.
But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.
But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.
What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?
Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!
Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!
What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.
And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.
If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.

That pan aisle is a dream! I'd love to try the graduated square pans.. I'm dying to try to stencil some garden murals on the side of a cake .. sort of like a terraced Italian garden.
My second choice would be a cheesecake pan to work on those Autumn cheesecake recipes I'm dying to try.. I would love to try a Gingerbread cheesecake or an Apples and Cinnamon.. it all sounds so good!

Ohhh, it would be such a hard choice. I think the tulip Bundt pan is super adorable and right up my dainty-and-flowery alley. But then I'd love a set of graduated square pans. Or a tart pan! So I'd have to let you choose one of the three. :)

Those graduated round pans are something I've wanted for a long time! I'd love them in various sizes. I have 9" rounds, but would love one larger and then smaller ones so that I could make tiered cakes. I'm drooling over that store, btw. :)

1st thing I would have to get is another 8-in circle pan because lately I've been making 3-layer cakes and only have 2 pans so it's a pain. Then, I'd look for a 4 or 5 inch circle pan. And I might have to sneak one of those cute mini pans in just for fun too!

I am looking for a cupcake tin that is somewhere between a mini size and regular size…I've had cupcakes this size at bakeries, but haven't been able to find pans this size–help!! I think you can!
I am so jealous! There isn't a store like that around here, and I actually made a huge list of everything I would buy if I was there! I loved the ice cream cones pan, but with so many options it would be a hard decision. Thanks for sharing!

That is a cake baker's heaven! I love the graduated pans best, but those tartlet pans with the fun name look super cute, too.

i think i'd experiment with anything.. i don't have lotsa pans and the ones i do have, have been passed down from my mom… which is still in working order.. lol. anything… just anything…
I would LOVE some square cake pans. I think the Fat Daddio ones that are 4 inches tall look like some serious pans!

I would like either normal cupcake pans or cookie sheets. I don't have either of those, and I tend to like to make cupcakes/eclairs/cookies sometimes.

Ah, I never knew such cake pans existed… Except the circular and the angel cake ones. I would probably go with the teddy bear pan. Because I'd have so much fun with it :)
I would love the graduated round cake pans. I am just beginning my kitchen and setting it up so I still need some basics. I would be on overload at this store! :)

I would love a store like that to walk into… i need to travel and explore… follow the passions… lol. i think i'd enjoy some decorative bundt pans… and the tartlett pans… and the doughnut pan looks very interesting… i'd try anything!!!
I love good quality cookie sheets. Easy to store and the taste of perfectly baked fresh chocolate chip cookies…yum!

I love the looks of those pans…. I would choose an assortment of itty bitty pans, they are just too cute, and maybe we would actually eat a whole cake if it were cooked in one of those…. we just don't eat a lot of cake at our house, so itty bitty ones would let me bake up several and freeze them until I needed them.
I really like the ice cream cone cupcake pans. Hmmm but thinking of my family they would probably like to eat just normal round cakes so it's a tossup!
I was just drooling over a set of graduated circle pans at my local Michaels. I had to settle for two 9inch Wilton pans for $14 after I used a store coupon.
