Made dark cherry vanilla bean ice cream with some of the 20 lbs of yummy, sweet dark cherries I bought from a local fruit stand. The rest of the cherries got pitted and frozen or dehydrated…..
I made clover flower necklaces and watched shapes in the clouds with my boyfriends little boy this weekend. I felt like I was 5 again!
I drove my kiddos across the country so they could spend an entire month with their grandparents they rarely get to see. It was super fun and ice cream would make it even better.
My husband and I are going on a two week vacation to Hawaii!! Woo-hoo!!
I’ve loved going to the Farmer’s Market this summer and stocking up on locally grown fruits and veggies!
Recently rode the Mind Eraser roller coaster at the local theme park and went white water rafting down the Colorado River. Both were awsome and scary but exhilerating.

I’ve been hanging out with my youngest and just chill-axing. I have stared dreamily at various ice cream recipes when I have come across them but, alas, no ice cream maker…
I had a girls vacation in San Diego with my sister and 2 nieces!
I went to Santa Barbara and spent half my time wine tasting and the other half lounging by the hotel pool.
We spent a great amount of time with family this summer poolside. I think this is the best summer yet since we haven’t seen them for over six years!
Went swimming with friends and their kids!
Took my grandkids to Legoland. They loved it.
Some people in other parts of the world think Canada is cold even in summer. Well it’s been STINKING hot here (over 90 at NIGHT!) so we’ve been at the water park and the local splash pad plenty of times already this summer. FYI, where I live is more southern than of some parts of the US!

Went to Vegas!
We were able to visit Washington D.C. for the 4th of July. It was unforgettable!
We went camping at a gorgeous lake in Washington State, it was so peaceful and relaxing but I’m craving some more summer fun, an ice cream maker would be a real cherry on top of my summer ;)

I went to family Y camp to the Sequoias with my extended family for a week!!!
Up till now I’ve been working, but today vacation starts and we are headed off to the Oregon Coast for beaches, whale watching ,kite flying and glass blowing! I can’t wait!

Ooh, i love, love to make ice cream at home! This summer has been filled with adventure including a kitchen remodel! I’d love to add homemade ice cream to my list of things to make in my new kitchen.
We took our kids to Kings Island to celebrate our oldest becoming a teenager.
We went to France and had a really great time on the beach. Our dog went in the sea for the first time and he really enjoyed, it was so much fun!!!
Pick Me, Pick Me, lol. This summer I went to the worlds largest bake sale and met with some awesome bakers. Not to mention I purchased some items since the proceeds went to feeding children world hunger. I love kids, gotta help them out whenever possible.
My husband has had to work too much to get any time off, but the kids and i have had the opportunity to travel with him on a few of his trips this summer. :)

I visited my friend who is a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, and we traveled all over the country and had lots of adventures!
I took my daughter to Santa’s Village! We had a blast!
I just moved into a new apartment this summer. :)
My family and I went camping and my son found his first four leaf clover! He came to show me and then asked if he could have ice cream (before dinner). When I said “no”, he told me that his lucky four leaf clover was broken!! :)

I went Go-Karting this summer! I haven’t done that since high school and it was SO much fun!

I hosted a 4th of July BBQ this summer and made my favorite childhood treat – cupcakes in ice cream cones! I made confetti cake to resemble fireworks and bright blue and red frosting with sprinkles. So adorable! So delicious! I wish I could eat them everyday!
I made raspberry jam with my mom for the first time. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
I went stand-up paddleboarding for the first time!! It was in Hawaii & had a great time. Even took my little daughter for a spin.
So much canning and baking with my husband. We have a lot of fun together. We renovated our kitchen recently and are finally pushing it to its limits.
Took my kids to eat McDonalds’ Happy Meals and ice-cream sundaes, simply quality family time!
My favorite part of my summer has been watching my 10 year old son participate in a long course swim meet and making personal records in all his events! He has been working hard all summer and to watch that was a very proud moment!
I spent a week in Tybee Island, GA and then visited Savannah for a few days.
We went to see the giant sequoias – they are gigantic!

I went to Amsterdam with my boyfriend, and hey, when you’re in Amsterdam you have to go to Red Light District. So there we went, arm in arm like true lovers, looking at… prostitutes :P
We have had an awesome summer! We rented a cabin on a lake for a week, we camped for a weekend, we’ve done the beach and waterpark, berry picking, and more! Would love to use some of the berries on ice cream!
Took a family trip to the beach yesterday for my dads birthday and this weekend (Sunday) will be my 25th birthday so there will be lots of fun this weekend too!
My family (hubby, 4 year old and 9 month old) and I traveled to Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. It was so much fun for everyone and we are all looking forward to our next vacation.

My summer has been filled with bachelorette parties and weddings galore! Which also means I’ve been busy baking lots of sweet treats for all of the occasions. :)

Our family has been going to Movie in the Park this summer. So much fun to see a movie under the stars!
We recently took our kids to Disneyland for the first time. And now we are impatiently waiting for school to start, lol.
How fun! We went to the shore and took our first plane ride with our one year old! She did great and we had an awesome time!
I think our best day this summer, thus far, has been my daughter’s birthday, which we spent at the San Diego zoo.
The best thing about this summer has been taking a break from cake popping to spend more time with my kids! Summer time + cake pops is not good for me anyway so it’s totally a win-win!

We went to Boston to visit my hubby’s 101 year old Nana. She is still spunky and such fun to be around! It was fun to show our 6 year old the Freedom Trail and go on the duck tours!
The best thing we’ve done this summer is buy a house!
We bought our house six months ago, so this summer I’ve been eating my own homegrown produce for the first time ever.
We went to Disneyland! It was the bomb dot com!
I got to watch my 8 1/2 month old daughter start to discover how great food is! She’s too young to have learned that she’s not ‘meant’ to like vegetables, so seeing delight on her face when chowing down on a courgette cake* is wonderful.
(*not actually cake. Obviously.)
This summer I turned 33 and went tubing with my 13 year old daughter to celebrate. We love spending time at the lake.
I went to see NKOTB/98 Degrees/Boyz II Men in concert, it was so much fun!

Finally went to the beach for the day – had a blast and played like a little kid finding all sorts of rocks and hermit crabs!
The funnest thing we have done this summer was to go to the bay….in fact, it was so fun that we decided to make it a weekly ritual.
I went to my first music festival on Randall’s Island, NYC at the beginning of the summer with a couple of my closest friends! It poured the first day, but the rain couldn’t dampen our fun…no pun intended!
I moved into my very own condo! No more rent to pay!!
I had a sleepover movie night with my 40+ year old sister.

Something fun I did this summer was… Get married! :D on June 8th I married the most wonderful man in the world, Lakshman! ^_^ oh, and then I’ve spent this past month and a half learning how to cook Indian food (his comfort food since he’s from Nepal) which was actually pretty fun too! ….he also loves ice cream. ;) lol.
Great giveaway! I can’t think of a specific fun summer thing that I’ve done. That sounds so sad! It’s practically always summer here, though. I guess the most fun I’ve had so far this summer is just decorating my new apartment and enjoying life as a newlywed! I sure could go for a Disney trip, though.
I spent a week camping with 160 girls and it included a 12 mile hike! It was a blast!

This summer we've been to Italy (finally!!) and visited Rome, Naples, Florence and Venice. Sightseeing = fun, but sightseeing with a slice of pizza, a sip of espresso, and a scoop of gelato = fun fun fun!! :)
I ran my first half marathon! Other than that I’ve been pretty chill. Hanging with family enjoying the sun by the river and lake.
We’ve just been spending a lot of time outside as a family and have completed several projects. I now have a huge, fenced in garden, Yay!
I went on a 12-hour road trip to Seattle with a pit-stop in Portland — escaping a 6 day heat wave of 100+ degrees in CA to high 70s in the Northwest :)

I just got back from two weeks in Dublin. It was amazing and my first overseas trip.
Just came back from a mini marathon mountain camping, dirt bike riding, playing at the beach week. One of the perks of living in Southern California!
We haven’t done anything SUPER amazing this summer, but we’ve done a TON of swimming! It’s been great!
We recently moved to a new state and this past weekend my whole family came to visit! It was an amazing weekend filled with fun a love! The ice cream maker would have made great treats, so it can be perfect for next year when we do our annual family trip again! Thank you for your generosity :)

I took a family road trip to Montana.
I learned how to make homemade bread this summer! And it turned out amazing! The hubby and I have also come up with excuses to have 6 BBQs so far this summer, too. :)
This summer I went up to Montreal to see the Grand Prix. Super noisy, but tons of fun! I’d definitely go again.
My husband and I went on our first mini road trip with the kids. We visited the Monterey Bay Aqauarium.

Moving! This might not sounds fun to everyone, but I’ve loved going through all of my stuff and packing some and throwing out some and give things away to friends and donating. Plus the end result is moving in with my fiancé whom I’ll marry in 2 months!

My family just had an awesome water balloon fight! I’m a stay at home mom and we blew up all the balloons and left them in a bucket for my husband, with a note that said “Here are your water balloons, we are armed with ours, come find us.” And we hid around the yard. He thought it was an awesome idea and we all had a lot of fun!
I’ve done lots of playing outside and biking with my little boy! It is heaven!
It’s been so humid, rainy, and stormy this summer all I’ve done is get in the pool and go to a couple mud bogs.
I flew my 80 year old grandmother with me to Iowa to see my aunt. She hadn’t seen her daughter in ten years and we surprised her at her work.
My husband and I took our honeymoon this summer and I would love to recreate the gelato we loved in Italy!

My husband was diagnosed with skin cancer and he has gone thru 6 surgeries and six weeks of radiation. So going out or traveling has been out of the question. Winning an ice cream maker would be sweet. Love your blog!
We went to FL. West Palm beach to be exact. We spent sometime on the beach and went to Orlando to visit Shamu!!! Had a great time.

I graduated with my MS in Biology this past summer! I’ll also be going on vacation with my boyfriend before starting a job in the Fall!

I was able to get to several local farms for “pick-your-own” berries and peaches. They taste so much better when you pick them yourself!
Took my family (hubby, 2 boys, age 6 & 8) to play mini-golf!
Got wet with the sprinkler and my 18 month daughter loved it. Seeing her and her brother giggle and scream was too funny.
Took my kids on a tour of a local farm and picked watermelons right off the vine. :)
I took Mommy and Me swim classes with my 9 month old son this summer at the community pool.
I have been going to races and staying cool at the local frozen yogurt shop :)
I ditched my husband and baby for three days and went to a Justin Timberlake concert with my mom and sister.
Went to San Diego for my fiance’s cousin’s wedding!
Went to a hot air balloon festival with my three kids, husband, and parents. Had a blast letting the kids eat tons of junk food, and go on spinning rides until they almost puked. Just a good old fashioned day that was with family and not crazy expensive or over planned.
I went to Samaná in Dominican Republic! Great beaches and excellent food!
Went boating out at the lake. Enjoying the nice weather!
My friend and I slept in a treehouse 18ft off the ground in the middle of a forest in the Pacific Northwest. Falling asleep to the sound of the forest and waking up to the sun… I’ll enjoy that memory over a couple scoops of pistachio ice cream. :)
I have been going bike riding with my husband in the evenings and exploring our new neighborhood. It’s been a blast and good exercise too!
I am going to share my something fun, but I don’t need either the ice cream maker or the book – I have 3-4 Cuisinart canisters and the Kitchen Aid ice cream bowl and Jeni’s book.
This year I am pregnant, so for a party we threw in June I made pickle ice cream and it was a qualified success (people who already liked pickles seemed to like it fine – but it is admittedly a weird flavor for everybody else).
I took some of my students to Europe.
Went to a church social where they served ice cream sandwiches made out of cookies – fun. Not much fun going on at my house this summer – staying close to home with a bad leg and working on getting it better.
I have been baking a lot of cookies, taking in a lot of baseball games and doing my best to stay cool!
This summer has been glorious…fireworks, beach, barbeque, ice cream cake. :) I’m a happy girl!

My husband and I are expecting our 3rd baby on 9/1 so we thought it would be nice to take our 2 kids out to have some fun. We are in NY, so this past Thursday was by far the hottest day of the year, but the heat didn’t stop us from going to Sesame Place. The kids had so much fun playing in the pool and all the other rides that they totally weren’t bothered by the heat. When I saw my oldest child waving to each and every one of the characters during the parade, I knew immediately the trip was well worth it.

I traveled to Europe with my family and got to eat incredible food. If only I could make Ice cream with this that is as good as it is in Europe!
The funnest thing I have done this Summer, has been planning my wedding! It’s been stressful at times, but also very fun and exciting!
Well, I started a new job so no vacation time for me so my fun thing is getting my feet wet at my new job. :)

Unfortunately I was injured which has laid me up for the summer. But to make up for it, I’m going to Italy for 3 weeks in October.
I took my soon to be step-daughter to see the Eric Carle exhibit at the Tacoma Art Museum.
Moving my girls into their own new bedrooms with new paint. Both girls are thrilled!
The best part of my summer was hanging out with my cousins before they moved back to the philipines as missionaries.
Bought our very 1st sewing machine and made zipper pouches with my daughter.

Over 1500 submissions already: wow! Me-n-hubby just got back from the Kentucky Bourbon Trail! Kentuckians are very friendly & generous so I highly recommend checking out the Trail and Diamond Caverns.
This past saturday we make a great paella on the grill (it worked!!) in our friends little backyard and had a great time!
My daughter and I are just a few days away for our “only girl’s trip to New york city” (yeyyyyyyyyy!!!!).
I love making homeaid treats and would love to wipee up some ice cream with this! Went tubing down the river! Awesome!

My husband and I took a Bahama Family Cruise with our 2 adult children, 1 soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and 3 grandchildren. We do a lot as a family so we would totally enjoy making ice cream together! Hope we all win this!!

Love, love, love to have this! The fun thing I did this summer was have a girls’ weekend with my 8 year old. We went to the beach for 3 days and just laughed and ate every meal with our toes in the sand!
I’ve taken several mini-vacations and spent lots of time by the pool. It’s been so hot this summer that all I want to do is be inside or IN the pool!
I shucked littleneck clams on Martha’s Vineyard and trained for the San Francisco Nike Women’s half-marathon!
Went on a great vacation to Nashville.
We have done LOTS of fun stuff, but my favorite thing that we did was make GIANT water balloons out of regular balloons!
