Got to see the Beach Boys in my own town of Big Sky, Montana. Felt like I was 17 again! Wow, it was so much fun!

Just got back from celebrating my brother’s wedding in Brooklyn– and it was so hot there that all I could THINK about was diving into a tub of ice cream!!
I spent all day of Fourth of July at the beach soaking in the sun, and getting sunburnt. Then I managed to skip most of the next day at work!
My little cousin is out visiting, and my girls are having a good time!
We spent the day at the beach with the family. Would love to come home to an ice cream maker after a long day at the beach!
I have watched my 4-year-old become an amazing, fearless swimmer, jumping off the diving board and even doing flips!
I ran the SF Marathon- my very first 26.2!
I haven’t done it yet, but I get to go to Hawaii in two weeks for my brother’s wedding!!
Finally, for the first time ever, made fresh squeezed lemonade. Wow, it was worth the effort!

I just sent my daughter to her first dance class!! She’s been asking for them for a while and she got to start today!! Melt my heart

This summer I FINALLY went to a concert (for the first time) with my husband. It was soooo fun because there were a bunch of bands that we’ve both loved for ages and hadn’t heard in years.
I also co-hosted a Summer Solstice party with my neighbors, and it was a ridiculous blast. (We made over 100 jello shots.) :-)
Spent a few relaxing days in Colorado – paradise!
I am going to Hilton Head in three weeks! Not that I’m counting or anything.
Getting ready to move my daughter across country for college, so treasured our spontaneous day boating with friends and watching her tube over the wake at high speed with a joy of life smile on her face.
I went line dancing…and discovered I have two left feet!
Visited with family and friends after graduating from law school. An ice cream maker would be a sweet reward after the bar exam next week!
I’d have to say the 2 best things I did this summer were taking my new beau to meet my family and they LOVED him! The other best thing I did this summer was to go to the drive-in movies with my beau twice!
Went on a poker run on our party barge with 8 friends. Also co-hosted a party for the completion of my neighbors back yard bar. Now we have parties a couple times a week.
I spent a good portion of the summer with my best friend in another state! In fact, it was so fun, I’m going to be going back to spend another few months later this year. :)
I ripped apart my bathroom!!!!! Time to renovate our master bath! How fun is that?!
I went to a Pat Benetar concert at Thunder Valley Casino and plan to attend a Berlin concert at the same venue. I love my music…and my ice cream too!
Spent the day at Bear Lake yesterday.
We bought a house and went to Disneyland!
We bought an RV and took a trip to the beach. Can’t wait to go again. The ice cream maker would make a perfect addition to our new home on wheels!
Started scrapbooking 10 plus years pictures of my kids! Obviously pretty behind but getting it done now and LOVING remembering all those sweets moments!
Well this Summer me and my family move from Puerto Rico to NJ and we are so happy. After 7 months away from my husband we are all together again. ;-)
Well, I haven’t had the chance (or money) to go anywhere, but the most fun thing has been meeting my new niece! It’s great to finally be an Aunt :)
ICE CREAM! This summer I drove north to San Simeon to see the elephant seals. They were stinky and loud and I loved them.
We spent Jul 4th at a nice hotel and they had their own fireworks display. It was awesome!!
Hightlights of the summer have been the birth of our first son and spending countless hours watching my husband and 2 year old daughter draw with sidewalk chalk, build sand castles and run through the sprinkler with a constant sound of laughter

I went to Europe for 2 weeks.
Doggie sat my daughter’s dog while she went on vacation, lunching with friends and working on my beading projects in the air conditioning. My fun trip to Europe will be in October.

We took our daughter to a natural history museum and visited grandma in Florida.
I, along with my mom, sister, and the rest of the bridesmaids, threw my sister two bridal showers! One where we live and one for our family in Massachusetts. The best part: BOTH were kept a secret and she had absolutely no idea!
We spent the Fourth of July with my brother’s family out in Sag Harbor. We just hung out at the beach and did nothing. Some homemade ice cream would have gone well with the hot weather we had.
I got a new basket for my bike and use it to haul veggies home from the farmer’s market.
I’d love love to get this! I have a little sorbet-maker but it is never enough… the crowd is always demanding more ice-cream!
We have had a relaxing summer. Making crafts, doing projects and sleeping in!
The most fun I’ve had this summer was when I took off to the Caribbean and got married!

My family and I recently did our yearly camping trip to Yosemite National Forest & hiked to Pot Hole Dome in Tuolumne Meadows. It’s beautiful there!

Last week for family night we went to the fun outdoor pool. I’m not big on getting into a swim suit, it doesn’t happen very often, so it was a big deal. And it was fun, I couldn’t get the kids of the big water slides.
We had a huge, fun 4th of July party! It was wonderful! And yes, of course, ice cream was served with our selection of pie!
Spent a week in Yellowstone with my kids and grandkids.
Any day with sunshine, ice cream sandwiches in the backyard, and my kids is a good one! Love the long, lazy days of summer! The cookbook looks amazing!

I am about to spend a week in Rhode Island with my whole family (18 of us including 8 kids)! What could be more fun than a huge family vacation!
I helped my husband build a tree house for our daughter this summer! We all love it and have lots of fun in it!

Besides all of the hiking we’ve done this summer, I dragged the family to a musical for their first time (Oklahoma!) and they actually liked it!
We went to Normandy in France a few weeks ago. It was awesome!
My mom and I rescued a kitten that someone just dropped off in our yard. He was very tiny, dirty, malnourished and afraid. After we worked on him for a while he came up to us and after that first time holding him and petting him, he wasn’t afraid anymore. 4 weeks later he’s running around the house like a crazy little thing.
This summer I went to the drive-in with my friends and had the most amazing time :)
Had a mafia-themed class photoshoot complete with water and nerf guns!
We have been re-doing the outside of out house. Stucco over brick, new siding, new roof. Lots of work with exciting results.
I just had a baby, so besides spending all my time with him the next greatest thing I did was get a pedicure.
I am enjoying my daughter’s last summer at home before she graduates from university. We have had a lot of fun together!

We went on a family vacay to Lake Tahoe. The weather was great and everyone had a blast.

I was able to take a week off work and spend it with my niece and nephew, something I have not been able to do in the past. It was such a blast taking them to amusements parks, the zoo, and pottery class.

We took a road trip from PA to SD and back! We saw museums on the way, at a lot of cheese in Wisconsin, tried some deep fried Spam curds in Minnesota, and got lost trying to find Dunes State Park in Indiana.
We’ve done a lot of swimming.

I took my daughter and two friends to a drive thru animal park in Port Clinton OH. The kids had a ball feeding the animals from the car, especially the buffalo and giraffes. And the walkabout and pig races were fun too! Great Day Trip!
This has been the best summer ever! I just got to witness the birth of our first grandchild. Rosemary Lavender came into this world July 20th at 1:51am! I am so in love with her, it pains me to leave her side!
Have not done anything extravagent but have been to some great jr. Tennis matches watched a fantastic gymnastic class and had the opportunity to see a beautiful summer ballet intensive recital
This has been a crazy summer but we are celebrating our baby’s first birthday! How much fun is that?! hehe
I’m starting my “stay”cation today. My hubby and I are taking a few motorcycle rides, one to the ocean and the other to the mountains. We’re working on the house and getting ready for my son’s return to the states, He was in Korea for a year. He’ll be bring with him his wife and 2 kids. I’ve only seen one as a baby! I’m supper excited that they are being stationed up here now. (JBLM).
I’ve been watching my three grandkids and having so much fun. They would LOVE to make their own sweet ice cream treats! Thanks for the opportunity.

The first fun thing I did this summer was visit New York with my family. The trip was a college graduation present! We stayed with family that lives in NJ, and we trained into the city everyday. It was fun to experience how New Yorkers live. :)
We went to CA for 2 weeks…Moro Rock, Morrow Bay….In and Out!!! Disneyland :)

We made ice cream in a ziploc bag, went swimming with friends, and have family movie nights at home.
This summer I went to Cedar Point for the first time and rode every single roller coaster!

We just got back from camping! So that was at least one fun thing we were able to do this summer!

Spent the spring and summer watching a momma Red Fox raise a little of kits in our barn. Watching them grow and play has been a real treat!
My husband and I took our sons to a fantastic 4th of July fireworks display! My kids have done lots of fun camps, been to the pool lots, and we have taken a few fun hikes so far!
The best thing this summer for my family was going to Cedar Point. My daughter LOVED the kiddie cars, the merry-go-round, and the rocket ships. This was the first time she went on rides without screaming! Even the penny horse ride at the grocery store used to make her cry.. so this was a big step :)
I participated in a Fourth of July patriotic cake contest and won third prize!
I have been spending as much time with my kids as possible, staying up way too late and getting up way too early to enjoy them while they are home. We need to find time to squeeze in homemade ice cream…this would help!

Went to a family reunion in far West Texas (EL Paso). Where it seems the sun shines brighter and hotter than anywhere else in Texas. But had lots of fun with family.
A few weeks ago, my friends, my brother and I got together and saw Despicable Me 2! We had an awesome time!

I performed in the Norfolk Comedy Festival last weekend! :) It was super awesome.
We took the day to go to Cades’ Cove. I loved watching the kids running around the park and exploring. The weather was gorgeous and moods were perfect!
To follow it up, my daughter had her first week alone with the grandparents and my sister. I was so proud of her!
This summer it has rained just about every day. We wait for the sun to come out so we can mow the grass!

OK, this is kinda dorky, but when we visited our daughter in Knoxville, we spent an afternoon in Great Smoky Mountain National Park crawling through meadows and alongside streams to take pictures of flowers, fungus and bugs (this is what you do when your kid is a biology major).
This summer has been awesome!
I went camping last weekend and sat in an ice cold creek drinking booze and it was so much fun!

Swimming and taking care of my little grand daughter is always a highlight to me! I love teaching her how to swim!
I traveled to Ireland and hiked the Gap of Dunloe (7miles) with my family in the pouring rain but enjoyed every moment of the beautiful landscapes! Sometimes it’s just about seeing the big picture.
PS. I love IceCream :)
I moved! Which doesn’t SOUND like fun, but we were in such a crappy old house and we moved in to a much better place, which has been so awesome. The kitchen is probably 4 times bigger than my old one which has been super fun for me.
Although I confess, my summer would be more fun had I been at a beach instead of moving….
We took our nieces to a waterslide park – the plan was to relax while they played, instead I went on every ride too! Had a blast!

Something fun I’ve done this summer is take a Mediterranean cruise with my sweet husband for our 30th wedding anniversary!
Went to Myrtle Beach with family :)
We have spent a lot of time at the pool, playing with neighbors and friends!
went to camping to the beach with my bfriend, was a very fun experience.
Went to San Diego!!!! Sea World was awesome! My 4 year old loved it!
I’ve been sewing and preparing to become a grandmother for the first time. It’s been so much fun!
Lazed away a hot midwestern day in a parking lot turned beach at our children’s museum with my soon to be 4 year old.
I hosted thirty-three members of my family at my home for a family reunion — including 14 children! The weather cooperated and most everything was outside. Great day!
Went to a local arts festival with friends, even taking a boat shuttle down the Genesee River to get there
Watched lots of baseball games!
I went to a Kiss concert! Quite the experience.
