I started doing stand-up paddle board yoga, and have become hooked on it – SO fun!

We spent the Independence Day holiday in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where we went tubing down the Yampa River multiple times.

My husband and I bought a house last year, and the best thing this summer is I got to have my first ever backyard BBQ for my birthday. It was so much fun!

I just got to spend the weekend with my family! We’re pretty spread out, so it’s exciting to get us together!

Chicago Street Festivals are the BEST – I’ve been to several this summer. And Jeni’s is opening in Chicago next month – I can barely contain my excitement!!!

We’ve been taking our girls to state and local parks almost every weekend. The hiking has been a blast but my wallet is aching from all the ice cream stands we hit on the way home. Would love, love, love to cap off our sweet adventures with homemade sweet treats of our own!
We just went to see horse races this weekend – plus between races they races camels, ostriches, and zebras. It was fun to see.
We went on a cruise to Bermuda to celebrate our 25th Anniversary…..gorgeous place-wonderful time!
I did my first Mud Run with girlfriends…LOVED IT and addicted because we are now signed up to do another in Sept and Nov! :-) We also had a week long celebration for our son’s 9th birthday…everyone had a blast! :-)
This summer is my first one married! And my husband has been so encouraging in helping me start to run so we have been enjoying exploring our neighborhood and surrounding areas while running!
My husband and I went to Falling Water in PA, it’s a unique house to see.. everybody should visit it !! :)

4th of July was my favorite part of the summer so far! I love fireworks, and my neighborhood has a big get together with snow cones and watermelon!

The most fun I have had this summer is just watching my two little boys playing outside, esp. on the slip-n-slide. But I have to say, I did have an amazing night the other night. Saw Chonda Pierce (Christian comedian) with two of my girlfriends and had my first hibachi grill experience! Great food and laughed til’ we cried. It was the best time I’ve had in a long time. :)
Went to my college roommate’s beautiful summer wedding held in a rustic outdoor amphitheater in front of a gorgeous lake.
The most fun thing I’ve done all summer is keep my grandson overnight. So sweet.

We introduced my 1 year old daughter to the beach at Isle of Palms, SC. We spent the week of her birthday there and she loved the beach, the aquarium, and she REALLY loved her first (Tinkerbell) smash cake!!!

For my birthday, I decided to make hi hat cupcakes. I was worried that it took my professional baking to make them, but they turned out gorgeous and better yet, scrumptious!

My family met at a Cabin on the 4th of July and hung out tubing and just visiting. It was nice because my 5 brothers and 1 sister and their families are spread out and was so nice to catch-up with everyone!
I dyed my hair pink and blue this summer and I’m working four jobs to get enough money for college!

The hubs and I just returned from a 7 day cruise to celebrate our 10 year anniversary!
I moved to Chicago. Absolutely love this city. It has turned out better than I could imagine.
My big event of the summer has been a massive garage sale that our whole condo development held. We had massive amounts of people, got rid of our cluttered garages full of stuff and made some fun money for our pockets. I have always wanted an ice cream maker and this one looks great!
Watching my grandchildren swim in the ocean and go crabbing has been so much fun. And making s’ mores and watching fireflies and a new moon.
I found out I am pregnant with my second child – that’s pretty fun :)
Went for a short hike at a nearby lake, then watched fireworks over the water on the 4th!
I am going to watch my boys play in their first tennis tournament starting tonight. I am so proud of them for working hard and having such great attitudes. They are great athletes but even greater people and I love to watch them play.
In two days I’m Florida bound to visit a friend!
Can’t wait for our vacation and get cooled off by the beach!! But… Right now it is 105* here in our home town !! This would be something to help us cool off!!!

An big bunch of us chipped in to rent a beach house on Jamaica Beach in Galveston, TX. We spent a long weekend visiting, eating great food, having cocktails, and laughing a lot! Already planning for next year’s beach trip!!!

This summer my husband and I went to Niagara Falls, it was my first time seeing it and it was so impressive and beautiful..
i made cake pops with my little princess & we went to jungle island.
We decided to take a family day and rode the ferry over to one of the islands (that neither my hubby nor I knew anything about!) in the Sound and screwed around for the day. It was really relaxing and nice.
I just spent Wednesday through Sunday at San Diego Comic Con. My pregnant body is beat, but I had a blast as always :D
We went to Hershey park for the first time!
We took our twin two-year olds to the beach. They enjoyed running from the waves and eating sand.
We hosted 2 inner city girls in the Fresh Air Fund. My girls and their new friends had a wonderful time. Will do it again next year.
My best adventure so far this summer has been a day spent in San Francisco, ending with a night at the ballpark.

I participated in a 5K, the Color Me Rad race. Amazing, so much fun!

I took my daughter and some of her friends to a One Direction concert!
Well I don’t know if it counts since it’s in the future, but in a few weeks my family will be going camping with my best friend friend of 27 years and her family.
No vacation yet, but been busy with baby shower cake pops for my niece and 4th of July pops for friends. You’re an awesome inspiration!

I went to So. Cal. for 2 weeks to visit family and friends. Got to meet my new granddaughter. She is beautiful and I enjoyed getting to know her. Lots of good food and good times were had by all.

I surprised my fiance (who lives in England, as he’s English) with a 30th birthday trip to Tulum, Mexico! We spent an amazing week in paradise :)
Vacation in Hawaii, loved the sunsets!
Just moved at the beginning of June so we’ve been exploring the local area – finding Farmer’s markets & baking up a storm.
I made 500 plates last year for a fundraising event this summer. The event is called Salad Days, and it was AMAZING. Everyone loved the plates, and had a super great time.
I have also been hanging out at that residency (for ceramic artists), and have been doing lots of fun things.
I saw the sun rise at Pemaquid Lighthouse in Maine. Went to an amazingly old-school mini golf place(twice!), have gone swimming at the local water hole, and have met lots of wonderfully amazing artist. There is also a lot of great homemade style ice cream up here. I would love to make my own black raspberry ice cream at home!
I am able to go to First Decents. It is a cancer camp for young adults. I am a stage 3 melanoma survivor. We are going to Estes Colorado to hike, mountain climb….. And most importantly heal and be around other survivors!! I really hope to win this Ice Cream machine…. making my own fresh ice cream would be much healthier then anything I could ever buy in the store…. Plus ice cream is good for the soul!! last week was my Bday so i did have fun with my friends from Thursday to Sunday…. all weekend long bday :) dinner thusdays, family friday more friends and love saturday, recover day with my love on sunday… it was awesome!!!
This has been a busy July! So far we’ve traveled from Georgia to Pennsylvania to visit family, New Orleans, and Chicago! Looking forward to enjoying August at home in our backyard!
I am about to go to San Francisco for a vacation with my family, where we will hopefully get some great ice cream!
This summer I painted nearly every surface in my house and went through a full kitchen renovation!
I’ve signed up for my first 1/2 marathon and started training this summer! Super excited!
I been to see a couple of my friends in nearby communities and have spent time in the sun at the beach and indoors baking – which is one of my favorite things to do. They both have young children in their lives. It would please me to be able to bring homemade icecream when I go to visit.
I’m on maternity leave for a year (Canada) so I get to spend the whole summer with my five year old daughter and 5 month old son. I’m teaching my daughter how to ride her bike and she likes to spend most of her time running through our sprinkler and playing in her kiddie pool. Not exciting or sexy but I appreciate that this will probably be the only summer that we will be off together. So it’s special.
Any time spent with my boys is always fun :)

I took care of my two and a half year old twin granddaughters for eight days while mom and dad took a much needed vacation alone. We did a picnic, watched movies, made cookies and played dress up. Everyday we had ice cream! It would be nice to make it fresh for them! Great giveaway!
I just got back from visiting my sister and her family in Chicago! I got to see lots of baseball and softball! LOVED IT!!!
We to the OC Fair. I love county fairs-they make things feel like it is just a bit smaller than it really is. The quilts, the baby animals, the different hometown groups who perform.

I’ve been getting to explore the beaches up here in Seattle! Being from the southwest, these aren’t exactly the smooth sandy California beaches that I’m used to, but I’ll take what I can get!
I’m leaving this week to go to Las Vegas (for the first time) with my husband and 5 month old son. My sister and her husband live there now and we are taking their nephew to meet them :)

this has been such a fun summer. Best memory is a trip to the beach. We tricked our girls into thinking we were on a beach with buried treasure. We went hunting for the X and my littlest one found it. They dug through the sand and found the container filled with tattoos, stickers, necklaces, gems and “gold debloons” ;-D

My friends and I went on a scavenger hunt around our city. So much fun!
Ooh yum! We just had ice cream last night to celebrate National Ice Cream Day! :-D This summer has been crazy for my family because we’re waiting on our house in NE to close so we can buy a home where we are now. So while waiting we’ve been in hotels, not the greatest when you have 2 toddlers. To keep us busy we got season passes to Six Flags! The kids love it and its great watching them have such a fun time and my husband and I take turns going on roller coasters when it’s not busy during the week 8)
We planned our first family reunion in 10 years! It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. I now know for the next family reunion to also plan a spa day. :-)
We had the best day this past Friday! Spent time with my teenage brother and my teenage daughter. If you know anything about teenagers, then they don’t always want to spend time with us boring adults. We shopped, we ate, they did MagiQuest (while us boring adults shopped some more!), then we had a relaxing time at the waterpark. Everybody got to do what they wanted to do and yet we all felt like we spent some quality time together. These days won’t last for too much longer so I’m going to enjoy them while I can! Oh, and it would be so much fun to win this because even though they are growing up, WHO doesn’t love making their own ice cream?
Enjoying our summer at our family cabin with our daughters, son-in-laws and grandson! The highlight was when we were told that we would be expecting our second grandchild next year!
Enjoying every minute of summer. Favourite things are watching the vegetables growing in our garden and harvesting the rhubarb!

I went to China to visit my best friend who has moved there! I’m TERRIFIED of flying and this was my first trip alone on a plane! I survived – yay! I then spent three weeks adventuring around like a teen should with the world in my hands! I tried all sorts of foods I never would have braved before! I’m a really picky eater so when I reported back to my mum she didn’t even believe me! The best thing I tried was an ice pop made ENTIRELY from green beans, it was crazy and amazing and I would love to try to make it again! We hosted a BBQ with the whole family and during the BBQ my son was in an ice cream eating contest at a local ice cream shop so we all drove down and watched him win first place! One and a half pounds of ice cream with toppings in 3 minutes and 27 seconds. He won ice cream for a whole year!

My family took a vacation to Chattanooga. We had a blast at Rock City and Ruby Falls. Not a whine out of either child (5&8). We also made our own glass ornaments at Ignis Glass. Soooo fun!
I have had day camp for my nephews and granddaughter with swimming, hiking, and adventures. Love my family!
We spent the 4 th of July (my daughter’s birthday at my parents house in California, and since then spending lots of time ferrying my daughter to camp and to the pool. Looking forward to less time in the car for the rest of the summer!
The most fun thing we have done this summer is snorkeling. Our family loves to snorkel and see the amazing life under the sea.
I went to friends wedding in Jamaica which was amazing!! It was rainier than I expected, but we had a wonderful time, and she was a beautiful bride.

Where to start? So far, lived in France, visited Ireland and England, visited family in CA and CO, and drove completely across the country (2,300 miles) to GA where my new husband and I are getting are first apartment. Life can’t get much better, and if it does I might burst with all the happy!
I was able to go to the beach with my entire immediate family and their spouses. We had a blast and laughed so much! It was good for the soul.
