I got to hang out with my twin nieces for a few days! It was fun to braid hair, do facials and just relax.
My husband and I were attendants in his brother’s wedding at the beginning of the summer, which was beautiful and super fun! And the end of this week is my baby shower! Yay!! :)
This summer I threw my babies first birthday….it was ICE CREAM themed! Bittersweet day since she’s our last baby. We LOVE ice cream….especially homemade.
A riverboat dinner cruise last night with married couples at from our church.
And about a zillion ice cream shop outings….so this would be a fantastic prize.

My bestfriend, who saved my life 2 years ago, and I went to the beach this summer for the first time together. We had a great time swimming out in the ocean and picking up shells!!
We leave next Saturday for a family vacation to California.
In June, my husband & I flew out to Portland, OR to attend my niece’s graduation. She now has a master’s degree in Social Work!

We took our 18 month old swimming for the first time this season! She thought it was hilarious to drink the pool water – silly girl!
We hiked to Doughnut Falls in Utah and my soon to be four year old caught a butterfly on his finger. The butterfly made repeated attempts to tag along with our son but we finally were able to leave him in his proper home.
I knit my very first pair of fingerless mitts! The lucky recipient was my boyfriend, and he was so excited. It’s so cute.

I spent 6 weeks in North Carolina completing my internship! I had never been there before, so it was a completely new experience…

This summer I have gardened with my neighbor girlfriend and we are now eating and sharing lots of our amazing vegetables and the fruits of our labor. Ice cream would be the perfect finish.

We’ve done two mini family vacations. Our daughter and my parents went so it was a lot of fun watching her interact with her grandparents.

This summer I got to go to Thailand and visit my Uncle and my younger cousins whom I haven’t seen in years. I’ve never been there before and it was so much fun. A bunch of my relatives went to Pattaya and Bangkok together (the 10 of us) and it was so so so so much fun! The weather was great and the food was great too :)
I have never thought that I wanted an ice cream maker until this summer. While on vacation we had key lime ice cream from a little store in South Carolina. I would love to try and recreate it at home.

My six year old has been “practicing” for when she grows up and opens her own ice cream parlor, so we have been making different kinds of ice cream this summer. Sadly, my ice cream maker is very old and very loud, so it has to be done in the back corner of the basement. :) A new machine would be a lovely surprise!
I just got back from my cousin’s annual pool party. He usually has about 60 people there – family & friends. During the party – the pool is full of kids, and at night – those of us that are there for the week end, get to lounge in the pool, under the stars, with my cousin’s awesome tunes playing!

My husband and I traveled to Sicily for his sister’s wedding. We spent 3 weeks there. We went to the Aeolian Islands, visited family and friends and went the the amazing beaches. wish we were still there!

My summer fun included a trip to Chicago. My youngest daughter went to the Wilton Tent Sale, visited my son and my best friend and her husband. We had a great time and I found great deals at the tent sale!
My husband and I took a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, it was the first time either of us had ever been. What a beautiful place to explore and enjoy! We’re already saving up to go back. :)
We took a road trip through St.Louis and Nashville. We stayed with family and did lots of stuff!
I recently moved to Ohio from California and I’ve had a blast exploring this beautiful state!
We took the kids to Hershey Park and ogled the ginormous hershey bars for sale at the end of the Chocolate World tour.

I ran/walked a 5k mud run for Breast Cancer…my first mud run, my second 5k. I even got my mom to do the mud run with, she’s a survivor :D

Summer is so long , hot and boring here… I could definitely use some homemade ice cream!
Actually there is no summer in my country but the weather getting more hot everyday. I almost make any kind of refreshing drink everyday such as cold non alcohol mojito and lime sorbet. I also bake cheese cake with fresh fruit topping for my birthday and taste so good during the hot day.
2 weeks ago was my first experience to use one of these. Now have decided that it would add greatly to my kitchen. Thanks for the chance to win one.

Well – we have not been able to do much this summer since my husband lost his job. But we are trying to do things that are inexpensive to keep the kids entertained this summer. Spending a lot of time outside and this ice cream maker would come in very handy for these hot Florida days!

I finally started backpacking/hiking/camping this summer!! It’s been awesome and I hope to do even more in the future. Also… I’m going to Hawaii (for the first time) at the end of August :D
This is an awesome giveaway!!! Most Summer fun we’ve had was hosting my daughter’s Japanese Tea Party for her 7th birthday. She wore a kimono, all her guests got dressed upon arrive too. I made green tea cupcakes topped w/ orchids. My hubby made noodles & amazing ice tea blends for all the girlies to try:)
It was great fun to see my son graduate and my first grandson was born! Doesn’t get any better than that.

As a child, my brothers and I wanted to have a fireworks stand but we never knew how to do it. This year, as an adult with my husband and 2 children, we had a fireworks stand! Tons of work but lots of fun! Best part was being able to buy fireworks at a discount and we enjoyed some bigger ones that we never felt like we could afford in the past. We even served cake and home made ice cream to raise money for our 4-H clubs. Crossing fireworks stand off my bucket list!!!!!!!
I’ve been busy having a new house built across the street from my daughter’s family! Love being so close to some of my grandchildren!

I ran my first 5K Mud Run with my BEST friend and we loved it so much we signed up for TWO more obstacle races in the fall that are longer and even harder! :-)
Spending the summer with my boys and enjoying all of the festivals and fairs that Ohio has to offer!
We are growing sunflowers from seeds and watching our little 2 1/2 year old marvel in the wonder of life. :) It’s been fun to watch her reaction to the growing plants and seeing her amazement as they grow much taller than her or even us!
My friend and I went to a free concert in the park to celebrate Grenada Day. I acutually indulged in an ice cream cone filled with “Coconut” icecream. It was so delicious.
We were lucky to have gone to Vegas last month and it has definitely made summer home with our 4 kids a little bit easier!
We’ve been spending as much time outside with our daughter as possible. Trips to the lake, zoo, bbq’ing. It’s been great!
My girls and I have been busy with the new addition to our family – a baby boy born in April! – and helping Grandma move from 10 hours away to across the street! My girls couldn’t be more excited!
I’ve been to 3 great concerts already, and am looking forward to the next one in a few weeks!

I have been enjoying time with my daughters before they go back to college.
So far, we went on a tubing trip. In a few short weeks, my son is getting married so we have been busy in anticipation of a joyful celebration.

The most fun thing I did this summer was help my friend raise and care for her dog’s puppies! They’re bichon frise and absolutely adorable. Right now they’re only 3 weeks old so they do a lot of sleeping, but they’re starting to toddle around and play.

My husband, 2 year old son and I just got back from visiting my husband’s family in Ocean City, NJ. It was a 15 hour drive but it was totally worth it when I saw how excited my son was to play on the beach and in the ocean for the first time!
We went snorkeling for the first time, LOVED it!!!

I went to Bonnaroo for the 4th time in a row this summer. To say it was amazing is to do it no justice. It’s life changing, and seeing a Beatle live was one of the top ten greatest moments of my life :)
I have been gardening and baking….Made a wonderful Chocolate cake last night. For the fourth of July I made the red, white and blue cake balls.
It’s summer whole year round here in my country. In this kind of weather is perfect for swimming. We swim in our apartment pool all the time. My kids love swimming time and they’re happy so that makes me happy :)

My family went on a working vacation in southern Alabama. We toured with my husband as he entertained at several libraries in the area for their summer reading programs. We visited the lovely beach and took in some of the sites. Nice way to spend a work week!

I’ve been hard at work all summer rehearsing an outdoor play. We’ve just built the set and surrounding park into a theatre and we open next week! Some smooth homemade ice cream would certainly help with this heat wave we’ve been having in Ottawa!
I went to the most beautiful wedding in Rockport, MA. THe town was absolutely adorable and settled up right on the water. My boyfriend and I took a footpath that lead to a view of the whole town and the ocean! Literally one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen! A must visit!
