This summer, I’ve been teaching my 2-yr-old how to swim, create sidewalk art with chalk, teaching him the sounds of nature and who’s making those sounds (roosters, woodpeckers, locusts, frogs, crickets, etc). I’ve been spending all of my free time with him, being a single mother, and I wouldn’t have my life any other way! Thanks for the giveaway!

Well, it was work related but I was able to go to London for a week. It was my first trip across the Atlantic and I LOVED London. I want to go back again.
I’ve been to a music festival for six days in which I slept in a tent and went to great concerts all day!
My husband and I drove to Fishing Creek, MD the other day to explore a seaside seafood restaurant that is supposedly a local favorite – we had crabcakes, stuffed shrimp, and steamed shrimp that was seasoned with Old Bay. Everything was fresh and the food was pretty solid. The restaurant was right next to a creek, making the scenery very quaint and tranquil. We love going on adventures to find good food, whether it’s 5 minutes away or takes a few hours to drive to it!
We took an amazing roadtrip through Austria and Germany!
I had a picnic with friends and family, the first picnic in ages. It’s normally too hot here to be outdoors, but it’s been a little cooler the last few days, so I took a chance and it was splendid.
Spending time with kids is the most fun things to do. Hope I can make then an ice cream too.

I have achieved so much this year!! I took my mum and my 4 younger brothers and sisters to Disney land Paris, it was fabulous!! Then i completed a 5K run with my best friend and her daughter and then my gorgeous boyfriend whisked me away for a stunning holiday to dubai!! I have had the best year ever, finally all my hardwork and commitment has paid off and i couldn’t be happier!!! Xxxxx

Hubby and I went to a Fleetwood Mac concert @ Jones Beach outdoor/marine theater last month….Great weather with gentle sea breezes, full moon glistening on the water,and awesome sounds………. but a bowl of fresh made ice cream would sure help us deal with this heat right now,,.,, thanks for the chance….

This summer, i work at a pastry shop on sylt, a little island in germany. In my freetime i can go to the beach (two minutes from where i live) – it´s great! So, some icecream would be nice…
I have been patiently teaching and supporting my dog to cope with blindness (it was diagnosed with blindness not long ago) .
I took it to the park to play and spent a lot of time making gourmet food for it. :) Had fun taking care of my dog!
Ooo I would love to make home made ice cream,and that book is an added bonus! I went hiking for the first time to University Falls,and going back to the car uphill was a struggle! If I go again soon,I would surely reward myself with some nice home-made ice-cream! :D
Me and my boyfriend picked wild stawberries, and made the tiniest little pie! It looked really cute, but it we found out that the stawberries were best when they where not in a pie.
Spending a lot of time doing fun stuff with my daughter after a stressful few months exam wise, my favorite thing. we went on on submarine ride. Experience of a life time.
This summer we had our family reunion! Lots of family, lots of food, lots of FUN!

Spent a few weeks in DC touring all the wonderful sites with my two little boys!
I made frozen yogurt for the first time this summer and posted a photo of it on facebook which led to an impropmtu “FroYo-Party”. Had several friends and family members show up. The dog thinks it’s delicious too!

I am pregnant with our second child and due to lasting sickness I haven’t really been up to doing anything fun so far. But I did start writing LONG lists of all the parties, family reunions and dinner parties I want to give when the baby is there and I can finally smell and eat food again! An ice-cream party would be a great addition to that list!
I also started doing a table and a seat with recycled materials, plastic bottles and carton inside, looks just like any other bought at a convenience store on the outside
Although our summer so far has been awesome, the best is yet to come. In two weeks we are heading to Disney world. I’ve waited 41 years for this and am so lucky to spend it with my awesome 8yr old daughter and amazing husband of 12 years. The giveaway would cap off a perfect summer! Thank you.

So far this summer all of my children have been very ill. Saturday was the first day some of them had left the house since the end of June. We have lots of things to catch up on so we will be enjoying our summer at full force now that everyone is healthy again (Thank the Lord).
This summer I got a new puppy and home-schooled her to be around me at the apartment: to pee in the right place, get in and out of the elevator and to walk by my side :) it was fun to get to know more about Doug’s behavior, believe it or not, they’re a lot like babies!
OMG! I will love to have one of them. Now in summer I am always making ice cream, so it will be perfect for me!

So far, nothing out of the ordinary :( but next month we might travel to turkey or the greenery side of Oman.
I took my almost 3 yr old granddaughter to Cherry Berry (a self serve frozen yogurt shop) and let her pick out the flavor of frozen yogurt along with any of the toppings she wanted! She came up with a crazy combination but she ended up eating it all so I guess she liked it!
We went to Pakistan for holiday and had lots of laughter moments with our cousins!
I took part in a burlesque dance show after training for 3 months. I’ve never done anything like this before and used to be painfully shy! It felt amazing and was a great personal achievement to have gained so much confidence :)

I broke my leg while water-skiing in Lake Powell. And though the breaking of the leg was not fun, the water-skiing was!
It’s winter here in Australia right now but last summer my boyfriend and I went to Tokyo to visit his family! We walked his dog In shiba-koen, the park under Tokyo Tower, visited Tokyo Disneyland, and spent some wonderful quality time with his family. Nothing beats spending time with the fam <3

WOW – what a generous giveaway!
Last week I organized my little one’s 9th birthday party and first ever sleepover. The party had a Monster High theme – I spent days on Pinterest looking for ideas for decorations, games and food. There were 5 guests and I let them make their own pizza from scratch (I made the dough but they each rolled their own pizza), then there were homemade games and in the end there was a movie screened on the wall on our deck. The party ended at 23:30 and 2 friends stayed the night – they stayed up telling each other stories in the dark with a flashlight and talking until 3am! My little one was so happy!
We have gone hiking with our dogs. So nice to be able to enjoy the great outdoors
We just celebrated our Tabacco Hertitige days in Edgerton wi. Saw all the people we miss all year long. It was a fun weekend…
I went on medical brigades trip to Honduras where i saw some cool things, did some fun stuff, and met a bunch of really awesome people!

I have explored my new hometown of Richmond with guests and went to kings dominion!
I’ve been volunteering for this non-profit organisation since last week where i taught the unfortunate kids on how to read and write properly. I met the other volunteers, we organised some games and played it at the end of the lesson. We also made them Oreo cupcakes the next day, those were a huge hit!
I had so much fun in the end, the kids too!

Went on a great family vaca to Maine, to see my 3 year old great nephew enjoy the ocean warmed my heart. To see it through a childs eyes makes us a child again. He loves ice cream and when we ask what flavor he tells us a color (purple, green, orange) and that’s what he tries. He makes me smile just thinking of him

We took our son to Disneyland for a week to celebrate his 9th birthday. Then home for a week then he and I flew to the east coast to spend 5 weeks with my family. It rained the ENTIRE time we were there…fun at first (we live in the desert so rain is a luxury) but after the first few storms…not so much fun but the company and the memories we created were awesome!!! The most fun thing I have done is get my son’s former bedroom cleaned and painted. My youngest brother is moving back to Los Angeles from Texas. I’m so excited to have him close again.
I went ziplining in Hawaii! It was an incredible adventure!
Did some catch up viewings of my favorite shows I missed, swimming, worked out, swimming, pig out, swimming, tried new recipes, swimming and yeah, did I mention swimming? :) My summer was a blast! :D

I have been interning at a wildlife rehabilitation facility and having the time of my life. After my internship I will do some camping and travelling. In my free time, I’ve been spending time with myself, my friends, and my family…I’d say it’s been a pretty successful summer!
We have had a wonderful summer! We are getting ready to finish it off with a road trip from CA to Montana. We have 3 kiddos; ages 10 yrs, 2 yrs, and 8 months….wish us luck! ;)
I hiked my first trail EVER! It was 10 miles (so 5 in and 5 back). I trained and got my backpack ready and set off! It was glorious! I had a great team of friends who supported me and a fabulous husband who went with me and encouraged me the whole way! It was to celebrate that I am now CANCER FREE! I went to Fiji and built a playground for St John’s School :)
Yesterday was a huge fundraising event for our autism support group. A small group of us have spent the last couple of months organising the Summer Extravavganza and it was a huge success! Everyone had a wonderful day and we raised just short of £3000 towards a respite centre!
We spent fun days at the beach to celebrate birthday parties with our dear friends and will be going camping next month.
Haven’t done anything out of the ordinary, but we live near the ocean and have gone to the beach several times. That’s always fun.

Girlfriend and I went to Hokkaido to enjoy delicious uni (sea urchin). People were so friendly it made it hard for us to leave.
Its been a long, hot summer so far, fairly uneventful. So after listening to my hubby repeatedly grumble about the HUGE cat that keeps overturning our garbage can on the deck and rummaging thru the contents, I decided to stake out the can… from the safety of the kitchen of course! Boredom turned to excitement tonight, because the “HUGE cat” turned out to be a LARGE RACCOON!! (probably looking to lick the inside of the empty, store bought, ice cream carton in the garbage can!!) Not the first time we have had hungry raccoons around, but its been a number of years and I always get excited to see the wildlife that visits!
I’ve spontaneously got a europe tour train ticket and been crusing around europe for 3 weeks now ;)
Disneyland adventures were enjoyed with my niece and her son – my great-nephew. Yes, I’m that old! But young enough to make a rainbow variety of flavors from Jeni’s Ice Creams at Home in a Cuisinart =)
My son is 3 and a half months old, and we took him to his first trip to a water park. He loved the warm water in the children’s area and it was so much fun to hold him while he splashed his hands on the surface of the water.

Went to Chicago (home town) and spent time with my mom, my college roomie, my nephew’s family & newest baby (in from San Francisco), drove up to Milwaukee to see a bunch of cousins for the first time in 7 years, ate the requisite hot dog (topped with the traditional mustard, onion, relish, tomato), and brought back my husband’s favorite deep dish pizza (frozen for travel)!
I camped on Lake Michigan with my wife.
I began collecting vintage bakeware this summer.
