  2. Ice cream is my favorite thing!! My husband & I went to Gettysburg for the 150th anniversary and we stopped at every place that had homemade ice cream that we could find. I think my husband thought I was completely crazy but he went along with it.

  3. We’re just finishing up our homeschool this week. We’ve done year-round school. So our summer fun hasn’t really begun yet. But we stood outside in a crazy storm in order to watch fireworks. That was fun!

  6. We, along with our extended family, took an annual trip to WI to go ATV’ing. It’s always a lot of fun, quality time, and memories made. We also eat a lot of homemade food, cookout, and of course a few yummy drinks. Some cold ice cream would top off the meals!

  11. This summer I’ve taken the kids on a day trip to the beach. For the rest of the days I supervise our little pool while the kids splash and play, and unknowingly teach themselves to swim!! Thank you for the opportunity. Never made homemade ice cream before . . . .

  16. Ooh, fun! I LOVE homemade ice cream. One fun thing I did was go to Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. That place is awesome! Incredible water slides.

  26. I had a baby girl and are currently mat leave so I’m trying to do a bake a day lol .as it turns out more like 2bakes a week just trying tarts and I made flour-less orange and almandine cake the other day.:)

  62. I’m spending a month as a residential counselor at an English Immersion summer camp for kids. Some days it is extremely challenging and exhausting, but then someone will do something little, and suddenly everything is amazing.

  64. I made chocolate lava cakes and some muffins this summer. They turned out pretty well and my family love it.
    Since I live in Indonesia, where summer happens throughout the year (lucky me!), I think an ice cream maker could be a very great thing to have on hand! :)

  67. The best fun I’ve had this summer ao far has been spending more time with my kids. Going to the park more often and spending time in the pool. I live in TX & we’ve gotten up to 108 degrees so far.

  76. I shot in a few archery tournaments this Summer, I also thought keeping in line with being from South Africa and it being Madela Month, if I have to win I would make Ice Cream for all my Archery friends at the tournaments, so that we can all share in the fun and love of Ice Cream!!

  83. My fun day this summer was 4th of July. My family and I did everything outside. We went out in the yard at about 12 noon; cooked, had the pool & water toys for the kids and cool drinks for the adults. We finished the night with glow sticks for everyone & a few fireworks. Simple fun. I love my family.

    Something fun I’ve done this summer:
    I walked 160 km in 4 days last week – the Nijmegen March in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, there was no ice cream involved…

  104. I was at the beach with my mom and my dog. Well the weather was nice so we thougt we should go into the water and as we looked back we saw our dog comming along with us. She really don`t know that she can swimm because of that she just goes in till the water reach her tummy (let me say she is just 40 cm big XD). While going into the water she tries to get her legs above the water insted of just going (it`s so funny to look at). When we came out my dog laid on my towel and wouldn`t stand up >.<.

  112. I went to a summer camp and we hiked up the Grand Canyon. It was so hot we went and got ice cream to celebrate after! :)

  118. This summer included a 8 day camping trip to the Kaibab National Forest, a visit to Williams to see the gunfights and show put on in the streets. Of course we found a old fashioned Ice Cream Parlor and had to step in for some fantastic Ice Cream. After a good nights sleep off to the Grand Canyon and take the grandkids to hike the Canyon. We hiked Bright Angel Trail and it took over 4 hours to hike down and 8 1/2 hours to hike back up. We had a blast. Had to keep stopping to rest from all the laughing, singing and elevation lol. There was lots of shade, water and utterly fantastic scenery. The kids want to go again before school starts!

  147. I know this might not sound fun to most people, but this experience I have recently had will make my life more fun. I just received a pancreas transplant this month and have been home from the hospital for two days now. I am extremely grateful to my donor and their loved ones. What a gfit to give someone. Four years ago my wonderful husband was able to donate a kidney to me and my life has been more fun since then.now I have come full circle and and I am ready to take on the world full force. I know your story and advocacy of organ transplantation and I am inspired by you. You are an amazing woman and I wish you the best.

  148. Watched our youngest son (18) graduate from high school; my husband and I took our first trip ever alone together. . .one night in Boise, Idaho and went to the Farmer’s Market, was the best time ever!

We have not had a chance to do anything this summer. The month of June, we were all sick with the flu.This month I’m battling shin splints on my left leg and a broken toe on my right.
