I’ve mostly stayed home so far, went to some movies, hung out at food trucks. But i have a trip planned on Labor Day I’m really looking forward to.

I just bought a large jam pot… so looks like I’m gonna try to make a batch using fresh fruit from the farmers market.
We have been spending all day outside..plastic pool, popsicles, and bbq! Fun!
My hubby and I brought out 1 1/2 year old to the beach. The look on his face when his feet touched the sand for the 1st time ever was the best moment ever! The icing on the cake preceded immediately after when he had an absolute ball in the water. Thus making the 6+ hour drive all worth it :)
Not going anywhere this summer because granddaughter had to have surgery but I have had a great time helping her pass the time, and Im getting really good at pretending almost everything! lol
I have gone swimming every week! :)
I tried, (and massively failed) making some healthy gluten free, happiness free, blueberry muffins. It was a wonderful experience, especially since we had something to hammer nails into the wall. :) We will try again on those muffins!
I expanded our urban garden together with my kids and I have delighted in watching them getting really involved with the whole growing thing!
We have been spending everyday outside. Swimming in our little plastic pool, eating popsicles, and barbeqing!
Taught summer school to the special needs kids that I love dearly!!!! Now time to make a visit to old college friends!

This summer I took cake classes and had several water balloon fights.I have been busy baking for family and friends.
We went to Seattle for a week and had some great caramel sea salt ice cream (and saw the Mariners play).

It’s super hot where we live so we are stuck inside a LOT. We’ve done lots of puzzels and cooking around here lately-always fun;)

I loved skiing in the bay!! I live in Monterrey and our summers get to 110F every day!! i´d love the ice cream machine!!

I swung off a rope into a waterfall and then had beers at a bar in the middle of the ocean at the pelican bar in Jamaica.
I held a cooking/baking class in my house with my 8yo daughter and her best friend-we made 4 different types of cookies. Next time we will cook dinner and dessert together. She loved it as her parents are not into cooking-lots of fast food.
Went snorkeling with some friends from work in the keys!
We took our daughter to Chicago to see “The Book of Mormon” on stage, for her 21st birthday!!

I ran a 10k that climbed 80 vertical feet on the 4th of July, and it was the FUNNEST. I’ve been wanting an ice cream maker … only ever used the old hand-crank kind my parents used to have.

I finally made my way to Fredericksburg, Texas and walked around the city. It was a great change of pace from Austin!

I started a new job this summer!
I went to the beach for the first time in years.
My husband is deployed to Afghanistan and I drove 700 miles to go visit my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law for the 4th of July with my daughter and little dog. They always have a family reunion over the holiday and I didn’t want my daughter to miss it. It would have been much better had my husband been there :( we took a photo holding signs saying “WE LOVE YOU” and I’m sending it to him for his birthday this Friday :)
Just this past weekend, I made cupcakes and cake pops for my friend’s bridal shower and is looking forward to the bachelorette party in August!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE making homemade icecream!! Whether it’s chocolate, or vanilla or strawberry! I love making mango too! I hope i win!!
Well, we haven’t gone yet, but we’re taking a family trip to Florida!

I celebrated my parents anniversary with family.
I’m going on a food exploration where I’m trying to eat whatever food I haven’t tried before wherever I go. For example, I’m trying out new booths at my city’s food fair, and at farmer’s market, and the food trucks at work. It’s fun and terribly unhealthy.
Well this summer hasn’t been too excited, but my birthday was the 13th and my boyfriend and I went to Kelley’s Island (island in Ohio in lake Erie). And then this past weekend we went to Columbus and ate our weight in Jeni’s ice cream lol. LOVE the one at the North Market, but we also ate at the Short North location and Easton town centers lol. We really like her ice cream and macaroon ice cream sandwiches! :D

Our summer fun started June 1 with the Atlas ride for the Texas 4000. We sent our son off with 68 of his friends and class mates from University of Texas to ride to Alaska. (It’s the world’s longest charity bike ride.) We’ll end our summer by meeting the group at the finish line in Anchorage. Can’t wait to see them there!

This summer I found out I had breast cancer. On July 5th I had a mastectomy started my new life, and to me the best way to help with the recovery and feel better is some nice home made ice cream ! Chocolate please
I worked a social service programme in a rural area in my country this whole summer. It was tiring but so much fun! We made a lot of cold drink for everyone after work but we never made ice cream since no one has the machine here :(
We spent the summer building and maintaining about 25 miles of trails in a state park in Oregon :)
This summer I went to the beach with my boyfriend and read Silver Linings Playbook while eating some delicious pineapple! Perfect day. :)

We took our kids to my hometown for the 4th of July festival that I always attended as a kid. The children rode rides, played BINGO, ate funnel cakes, and watched fireworks all in the same place I did when I was a little girl. FUN!
I just hosted my sister-in-law’s baby shower and made the cutest baby animal cookies for it. So much fun! My husband, son, and I love ice cream and this would get so much use in our house!
We went to the beach last weekend. Playing in the sand and the ocean, watching the kids play, walking around the boardwalk, eating clam chowder…best part of summer!
I moved into a new apartment and got a cute little bunny! There’s nothing he doesn’t love to chew, and he loves exploring closets and squeezing into tight, ridiculous spaces. Once he’s old enough for more exciting foods, I’ll make him yummy veggie juice popsicles and sorbets!
I’ve been working non-stop, but I did get to visit my grandma and stop by the local bakery. It’s the only place I’ve found that makes torchette. I bought a dozen and tried really hard not to eat them all in one go.
Other than that, I’ll be attending PAX Prime at the end of August.

This summer I went to a beer festival for my birthday. Over 60 local and international breweries gave out samples! Beer + food trucks= one happy birthday! ^______^.

So many cool things this Summer but a recent one was participating in the “Warrior Dash” with a group of girlfriends!
Decided to take a chance and move to the US to live. Sad to leave family and friends at home in Australia but it’s been an amazing 3 months so far :)
I went to visit my twin sister in Georgia and now she is visiting me in Utah!!!
Went swimming a few times (so far) to Sandcastle (water park that I live VERY close to).
This year, I went to Destin, Florida by myself- without son and husband. It was the most relaxing time I have had in ages! I enjoyed the quiet time by the ocean. When I came back home, I felt like a new woman with more energy to spend with my family.

I went to Morton’s Preserve National Wildlife Sanctuary on Long Island and fed chickadees, nut hatches, and chipmunks by hand.
We have seen Despicable Me 2 and are planning to attempt minion cake pops on the weekend!!!!!
Work a water race game at the carnival every weekend making kids and adults happy. Its fun every weekend.
We planted a big garden at our new house and have been enjoying the fruits of our labor :)
I am an ice cream FANATIC but a fun thing I started doing this summer is making homemade Dixie cup Popsicles with my three year old.
We aren’t traveling this summer, so we’ve been having tons of fun adventures in our city! Waterslides, beaches, parks…this weekend we went to a local blueberry festival and then picked up gourmet donuts from a cool new-to-us donut shop!
I’ve done nothing but baking this summer! I have attempted to bake some macarons, which turned out looking pretty decent. Thanks for this giveaway!
I haven’t done anything fun this summer because I sold my house, moved back into the city, switched jobs, studying for my recertification exam and planning a baby shower for a dear friend. I LOVE ICE CREAM though so I wanted to try and win that ice cream maker!

Wish I stayed home making ice cream on Sat. after the 4th of July.. Instead I tried water skiing after not doing so for some 50 years.. since I knew how to do it when I was a lot younger I thought it would be a piece of cake.. ha ha! I think young and some say I look young however, my body parts tell a different story. I tore a tendon from my hamstring muscle. OUCH!! In spite of my injury, I had FUN trying! Now, I would like to try my hand at making ice cream with the new Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and Jeni’s Ice Creams at Home book. My Grandkids love ice cream!! I think I will leave the water skiing to them!

We finally got a season passport to Lagoon (local amusement park). We have taken our 4 kids once a week since summer began! Wow! It’s been a great summer :) Lots of family time…the best time in the world.
I went home to see my daughter and when I walked through the door I received the biggest surprise, I found out I am having a new baby granddaughter due Christmas Day!!!

We are visiting my Okaasan (that’s Mother in Japanese) here in Japan! They have the most unusual sweets here and everything is so artistic!
I visited the University of Michigan campus and betrayed my family – many of whom are OSU alums. We’re all from Ohio and I bought an obnoxious yellow tshirt with “UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN” written across it. I’m wearing it to our family reunion in two weeks. :)
