This has been our summer of travel. We’ve been to Toronto, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Nebraska, and the beach.
I’ve spent most of the summer on my back porch with a drink and an otterpop and no one can tell me I wasted my youth.
I took my girls to my aunts house on a lake and we had a double birthday for my daughter and cousin. We also played on the beach! Love spending time with my girls!

Just got back from California’s, Universal Studios and Sea World. I have not been there for at least 22 years!
I’ve been doing weekly hikes in the local mountain ranges by my city. Embracing nature is so beautiful :)

Spending time with my daughter who has just returned from her freshman year at college – and I now get to explore the wonderful foods of a vegetarian (but not a vegan so ice cream is still on her list!)
Took my little girls for their first road trip to the zoo!
We just returned from our bi-annual family reunion. There’s nothing like boating, grilling and little nephews to make the summer feel complete!

I went to Nebraska and soaked in the 100 degree heat! Also made my kids homemade popsicles and took them swimming countless times.
We had a family tent week, went to visit family in the south, and had a Tour de France breakfast party.

I went to the Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z concert at Yankee Stadium this past weekend… AMAZING!!! Also, I went to the MET and Guggenheim museums.
Made a campfire and roasted potatoes!
I went camping with my husband and some friends at Devil’s Lake State Park in Wisconsin. I even climbed two mountains, despite being afraid of heights!
Oh yes! We’ve been having a blast this summer visiting family!
I kicked off the summer by going to Grand Cayman with my girlfriend to meet her dad. We came back with a fantastic souvineer…we’re due early next year.
Have cared for my mother who is slowing leaving this life. She has been a joy. Also helped husband care for the chickens and made several quilts.

We made homemade ice cream on the 4th of July! Certainly nothing as fancy as what this is but we put fresh bananas in it & it was **amazing**.

After 13 years, I finally made a trip out to South Korea!
So far it’s been a lot of working, but I managed to find a moment to have a picnic in the park this summer! Beautiful weather and good company, it was tons of fun :)
On the 4th of July I got to spend the entire day lighting fireworks. On the beach. YES!

Joined my husband on a business trip and took my toddler to Magic House in St. Louis. What a place! All hands-on fun, for all ages of kids. A most memorable experience.

This may not sound like fun, but I helped my mom and dad while my mom recovered from open heart surgery. I am so thankful that the surgery was successful and she is making a full recovery.

This summer my husband and I took an early wedding anniversary vacation to Cancun, Mexico. We met some incredible people and instantly gained new friends in Texas! I guess I know where we will be headed next!

went on a motorcycle ride with my husband and stepson and his wife to niagara falls…it was a blast…even though it was painful as all get out for my knees…it was a good time.
We have been very busy getting the guest room ready for our friends visiting from England! They will be here Wednesday, can’t wait I am so excited! You scream, I scream, we all scream for Ice Cream!!! Yeah!!!
this summer i signed up for kickboxing so i could burn off all the calories from all the ice cream i’m going to eat!

We just went on our annual camping trip with friends. So much fun!

i went camping with the rest of my cousins and family members to a lake where we all had a lot of fun. we went swimming and had, of course, SMORES! the best part of camping was the smores, so i was pretty happy with my weekend. :)

I went to three awesome locations. First, I went to a chocolate factory. I bought all kinds of chocolates ranging from white, dark and milk chocolate! Then, I went to Petrosains, Suria KLCC. There was a robot t-rex that speaks with an astonishing size! Then lastly, I went to a waterpark. There were all kinds of waterslides and fun stuff to do! That was the best day ever for me! :)
I went to see (and meet!) my favorite band from the 90s. Got to rock out right in front of the stage!

Rode the Ferris Wheel and swings at Navy Pier with my husband for our 7th anniversary.
We welcomed our second child at the end of May!

We spent time with family at the lake, joined a science museum, and have done lots of fun crafts.
Took my son to our local library’s summer reading program. Broke up the monotony of the summer days and got him reading even more.
I went white water rafting in June, and I’m graduating from grad school next week!
I went to the beach with a group of friends, including my best friend and her son. We brought a bunch of floaties and buckets for him to play with, but I’m pretty sure we got more use and were more excited about them! Perhaps if I’m lucky, I’ll be serving up some homemade ice cream when we celebrate his 3rd birthday and my own 22nd next month :)

I spent the summer finishing my degree work at UC. I am 20 days away from being a graduate with my master’s…the end is so close that I can almost taste. Having ice cream would make it all the more sweeter!
I held a “picnic in the park” at a downtown park for some of my younger cousins. Then we ate a lunch of burgers and milkshakes at The Shake Shack.
My family is relocating to the US. We stopped in NYC for a week of sightseeing which was great but the heat wave was rough. An ice cream machine would be a lovely addition.

This summer I took my son to the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina
I wish I stayed home making Ice Cream the Saturday after the 4th of July. Instead I tried water skiing after not doing so for some 50 years.. Since I knew how to do it when I was a lot younger, I thought it would be a piece of cake.. ha ha ha! I tend to think young and some say I look young, but the body tells a very different story. I tore the tendon from my hamstring muscle. OUCH!! In spite of my injury I still had fun trying.. I was up.. What a great feeling!!! Now I would love to try my hand at making ice cream with the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and Jeni’s splendid recipes.. my grandchildren love ice cream!! I think I will leave the water skiing to them!
I took my seven year old son to visit family in Oklahoma and Texas. He came back dressed like a cowboy and is the new Sherrrif in our town due to my sister-in-law buying him a new badge. We live in Florida and eat our fair share of ice cream here. It would be great to make it ourselves!

i have been tending my vege garden. my cucmber plants have been hyper productive. this past weekend alone, i canned 8 jars of pickles, with more planned for next weekend.

It’s very short, and is only a few feet from people’s homes, but that little bit of tree cover and dirt and such a joy! I can imagine that I’m further out and away from the day-to-day, and I can put the jets on and run fast on its twists and turns.

We’ve been going to short day vacations quite frequently c: 5 to Austin, 1 to San Antonio, and 1 to Lousiana. I live in Houston, Texas so it’s no big deal, but before the summer ends, we are going to Florida and a cruise. I would love the ice cream machine cause it reaches up to 114 degrees in Houston on the worst days…
I just had family visiting from out of town. It’s never a dull moment when my family is in town.
