  1. This summer, I went hiking with my best friend. Our moms had each other in the same hospital just a few days apart. She is older than me by 2 days and currently lives in SoCal, so it was really nice to see her and speak to her again.

    This is the highlight of my summer because my best friend has changed so much through the years that I have known her. She makes me want to change to become a better person for myself and for the people I love. Just seeing her makes me very hopeful of my future and what I can accomplish. I just love when she comes back to visit because I hear all the stories of her great adventures and life changing experiences of her reinventing herself and finding her purpose in life.

  3. This summer, I been working with the girl scouts and coming up with lesson plans for them. I love working with kids so it doesn’t feel like a job to me.

  19. We went to FL and I got to watch my husband become a board certified chaplain.

  20. I got to go to work for a week in Pittsburgh where my cousin lives. We hadn’t seen each other for 35 years, so it was an emotional but really fun week!!! Ice cream is my favorite food, so making it myself would be a real treat!

  37. My mother and I spent a weekend on Pensacola Beach, rode the 360 (before it relocated to Atlanta!), had a lovely seafood dinner and on Sunday morning I made us baked French toast! It rained the entire weekend but was a wonderful “girls” weekend nevertheless.

  48. The best thing that happened this summer is that I received my UNIVERSITY DEGREE & GRADUATED! I had the BEST red velvet cake with my family celebrating it.

Would love to win this… The best moment so far this summer was my when my husband decided to take me on a adventure exvursion which included crossing 5 hanging bridges, one rappeling session and one zip line. To top it all off, when we commented our plans to my parents, they decided they wanted to go.

  61. I am 8 months pregnant, so my fun has been taking my kiddos to indoor activities such as jump parks, children’s museums and other fun activities.

  62. I have enjoyed playing with my grandkids who live a LONG way from where I live, and enjoyed a week with my husband being kids in Disney World.

Totally lovin’ it so far, later this summer I’m gonna go to this gorgeous beach house out in Wells, Maine and go to Old Orchard while I’m out there! I’m so physced! :D

  94. This summer I went to a pizza farm! They grow/raise all of the ingredients for the pizza right there on the family farm and cook it in a huge wood-fired pizza oven behind the barn. So amazing.

  95. The best thing I did this summer was bake a Red Velvet cake from scratch! I spent vacation money on a new KitchenAid mixer!

  96. There is an awesome candy store here–almost like a warehouse–that I finally took my husband to. The sheer joy was adorable.

  97. Other than working, I haven’t done much! :( But we did take the kids on a little harbor cruise in our hometown, got an ice cream and went out to lunch. Trying to keep things simple and fun!

  98. My family and I went to Hershey Park. We rode water slides, screamed on rollercoasters, and ate chocolate!

I think the most fun thing I have done so far this summer is a few days in southern California with my family. We had two villas at a resort. We ran around all the time – so not much cooking. We did have 2 nights when I barbecued at the pool (so nice) and every morning I made fresh muffins for the crew. It was a great way to start the day!   143. Last month I escaped the Michigan heat and flew to Seattle to visit my family. My father and I ran the Seattle Rock n’ Roll half marathon. We liked it so much that we’re planning on doing the full marathon next year.

  144. Went to the farmers market with my girlfriends. YUM!! Also I’ve dropped my youngest off at camp then gotten to see the smile when we picked him up, sat in the ER with my oldest son, then through surgery for his hand. Not fun but thankful he still has his fingers :)

  145. For the first time in many years Great Britain was graced with lovely summer temperatures! So many family barbecues and get togethers took place and it was fantastic to be surrounded with the people I love most! And I would love to present them with some homemade ice cream at the next one!

  148. The most fun thing I have done this summer, is with out a doubt, seeing my unborn daughter in the sonogram screen, and preparing for her arrival this september. Designing the nursery is so much fun :-)

  153. I went to the very, yummy Salt and Straw in Portland Oregon and tasted their wonderful, unique varities of ice cream like the Salted Carmel! I would love to try some of these at home since they are too far away from my home!

This summer has been a lil different from the rest of the summers in my life, it is the first time im working so there’s no summer vacation like the ones u get use to while studying, so as a recently graduated from graphic design college I didn’t let being an ADULT to steal the fun from my summer, this summer I did I went to visit my parents for just a weekend and of course I had to do some baking which I LOVE and invited my mom to help me out, we liked expending time just like that it was so fun :) And I would love a device this this one would make having ice cream a non-guilty pleasure cuz I could use all natural products and no sugar added, which its always a good thing :)

  175. Sweet! I would love a new ice cream maker. We have an old fashioned wooden one but its 15 years old and it leaks. Plus the recipe book would be fantastic!!!
    We went to Ocean Shores, Washington. It’s near where the “Twilight” books are based from. The Interpretive center was great and the kids got to touch everything! They even got to pick out a free sand dollar at the end. We also we to the Oregon Zoo and saw the new baby elephant. Her name is Lily and she’s adorable!!! She even waved at us with her trunk. Sooo cute! Hope you’re having a great Summer!

  176. My husband would love this! WE just got back from vacation at Myrtle Beach where we indulged in lots of cold treats. If we won this it would be vacation all the time at our house!

  192. My 10 year old and I just got back from NC visiting Grandma and Grampa. We helped them paint their porch a nice new color! Southern food, the beach and a wonderful time together – priceless!!

  198. I discovered a skating rink last week with a friend. The owner agreed to stay open an hour later and we had the entire rink to ourselves. It was great (and fun) practice!
