I welcomed my sweet baby Owen in June. I can’t wait to watch him and his big brother Parker grow up together! There will be plenty of milestones and birthdays to celebrate. I can’t wait!

I’ve done a lot this summer. My husband & I went home to Columbus, Ohio and visited our family whom we hadn’t seen in over a year! We also stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming and picked up a friend and brought her back to Washington with us to visit.
I planned a spontaneous vacation trip to Florida for the hubby and I. We are not the type of people who look at another and say “let’s go to Florida” on a whim. but life is short so off we go!!

I went to the California Wolf Center in Julian, CA and learned a lot about wolves!
Took my daughter to MSU orientation for her first year in college. Exciting but also a little sad that my last child will soon be out of the house. I need some ice cream!

The kiddos went to g-ma & g-pa’s house for a week. I relaxed and Hubby and I drove up to Lake Tahoe for the day. We visited his cousin and ate at Cold Stone! It was so wonderful!
My boyfriend and I moved in together and we’ve been using most of our free time playing in our new game room (the room that is supposed to be the master bedroom…). He still can’t admit I’m the house foosball champ!
Went on a Caribbean cruise for my birthday! Sigh. Wish I was there again.

This summer I went to Governor’s Ball and enjoyed some excellent music, despite having to traverse some massive fields o’ mud.
This summer we brought my 3yr old son on a nice long weekend to Lake George and went to 6 Flags, Magic Forest, and the arcades which were his fave!
I went to DC and got to visit one of my closest friends for a few days, who I normally don’t get to see more than once every couple of years. :)

My family and I went to a Florida beach for a week! Beautiful white sand and blue water! I miss it already. Priceless to see my kids building sand castles, catching crabs, and sea shell hunting!
I went to Disneyland with my family on the 4th of July and we ordered a couple of huge, yummy ice cream sundaes!

I took a road trip to Maine to see my parents and my grandmother whose health is failing. I took my 13 year old daughter along (no one else could get off on short notice) for company. I got to see some cousins I haven’t seen since I was a little girl AND got to see my daughter swim in the cold clear water of one of the local lakes. Being from TN, it was a shock for her!
I’ve been working on finishing up a quilt I am making for my baby niece, Cora. Started it the month before she was. Orn and I hope to finish it before she is two years old!
This summer I baked a bunch of your goodies and then enjoyed devouring them with others. I hope I can finally try some making homemade ice cream and enjoy devouring that too!!!!!!
So far the coolest thing I have done is attend my first food blogger conference, Eat Write Retreat.
I’ve had lots of fun at the farmers markets and….I’m getting ready to visit Chicago and dip my toes in Lake Michigan:)

I went on a road trip with my husband from vegas to san fran to reno and back to vegas. In the 5 years we have been together it was our first trip together that was longer than 2 days.
I started a new position.
I hosted a girls day in where we crafted cards for the next events we were attending! It was so much fun. I made some iced tea but next time, I hope to make a fresh batch of ice cream!
We took a quick trip to Palm Desert (just before the heat wave hit and a couple of weeks before the fire). Never been there before and had a great time!

I ran the 10k race for life and raised nearly £200 for cancer research! X

We just went on the Heber Valley Railroad with my entire family over the weekend. It was awesome!
We’ve made it to the beach or zoo for the past four weekends and just wrote up our summer manifesto with more fun “goals” to achieve over the next two months.

The whole summer with our new Golden Retriever puppy (she’s 4 months old) has been fun – Watching all of her “firsts”. The best was watching her getting her first attempts at swimming at the lake.

The summer is just starting here in the UK, schools break up tomorrow and we have lots of fun stuff planned! I am most looking forward to a cake pop workshop I am running for the kids at my daughters holiday club!
We have had a blast camping this summer. we have gone 3 times so far.
I love summer! It means camping trips with family and friends! We just got back from an 8 day camping trip up north. We rented kayaks and a paddle board. Both the kids and the adults had a blast spending the day on the lake!

My family got together for my son’s graduation from Law School. This was the first time in 9 years that all the mom’s in my family were able to have Mother’s Day together. Lots of celebrating that weekend!

I’m also practicing cake pops for the baby shower. I cannot wait. This has been an exiting and fun summer.
We spent two weeks on Marathon in the Florida Keys! The different shades of the blues and the greens of the water are absolutely breathtaking!
I’ve gone to lots of family bbqs and made lots of fun memories. I tried homemade ice cream a few weeks ago and really hope I win this so I can experiment with making unique flavors.

We have been very busy this summer. By far my favorite thing to do though has been spending time with my family, even if it is just sitting around doing nothing. We can sit outside and eat ice cream and just enjoy each other’s company.

This summer I had the amazing pleasure of baking my best friend’s vegan wedding cake and cupcakes. So fun and so delish!
I’ve been going to ballet intensives, working and baking during the nights. Haven’t been getting much sleep, but summer is all about that!!!
We went to mother/daughter camp out. So fun to see my little one so excited about sleeping outside and roasting marshmallows!
I went to a 4th of July parade with my 3-year old daughter. This was our first one together (and my first in many, many years).
We’re about to renovate a bathroom. I don’t know if I’d call it fun, but it’s the most exciting thing I’ll do all summer. Other than that just been going to the movies, eating all those bad sugary things you shouldn’t and trying to stay cool in this 100+ heat.
We are closing on a fixer upper/huge project house tomorrow. Thus, i have been spending the summer designing my new kitchen!

I went berry-picking with some friends a couple of weeks ago (and got really sunburned), and today I got my first smartphone!
I got to take an amazing trip to the Brazilian Amazon with a wonderful group of people. We served a lot of poor river families and went camping in the jungle. It was awesome!
We haven’t taken any vacations this summer yet, but many fun weekends on the lake!

What I did for fun this summer is when I went to Hawaii! I Love Maui and the best vacation to date.
We got to spend three fabulous weeks with my parents! It was a two week family reunion…and we even got a little extra.
I went swimming in the evening in a freezing cold river and went off the rope swing!!!! So fun!
We spent a week in the Texas Hill Country at Canyon Lake and then a week in the Rio Grande Valley with a day at the South Padre Island. The kids had a blast!
Ran is a race with all my girl cousins and moms for our oldest cousin/niece who is battling breast cancer!
TOOK ALL FIVE GRAND CHILDREN TO DISNEY WORLD.

I made homemade ice cream for my mom’s 58th birthday TODAY in an old Rival ice cream maker. I was just thinking how great (and faster) a newer model would be. We also cooked out and my sisters and their kids all came home to celebrate including the newest grandbaby who is 4 days old.
I made some delicious treats including my first attempt at mint chocolate whoopie pies! Mmmmmm! Delicious!!!!
This summer our family went to LA for one week,went shopping,and visited our friends!
I took my Mother to go and visit my daughter in Myrtle Beach, SC and it rained on us the entire time we were there. We managed to have a great time anyway!

My one fun thing I did this summer was take a trip to Boston. I never been and always wanted to go so I decided it was time to take that long awaited trip. It was awesome filled with eatting from various places in Boston.
This summer I’ve been swimming and baking, my two favorite things to do!
I flew to AZ and visited my son and his girlfriend for 4 days. I had not seen him since Christmas and was missing him badly. We had a great time!
We got a new pop-up camper this year and we have gone camping 3 times so far this summer, and have two more trips planned! Love camping!

I rode the Ducks with my family in Seattle (they are amphibious vehicles) – it was a blast – although my twin nephews might disagree :)
I am expecting my first baby in August and have had to cut out all sugars because of gestational diabetes and I would love to celebrate the little guys birth and say good bye to diabetes with some home made ice cream!
