I looked for a new flat this summer – and found one, which made looking a lot more fun in retrospect. Oh and last weekend I visited a medieval fair – that was awesome!
I love to sew, so I challenged myself this summer and made a skirt out of a pair of pants! It came out great and it was so much fun, my husband told me that it takes talent to pull such a project off and I was thrilled!!
I’ve been making jam and jelly again. I have a batch of pear jelly that would be great as an ice cream mix-in for a fun flavor, in the transition from summer to fall.
I moved to Atlanta which was super fun! hah
Hmm … went to Niagara falls with some friends for a Stagete party and we had such a fun time … just the girls!
We just bought a small camper and we plan on going camping soon!

Just last weekend we went to Corpus Christi, TX and played at the beach, caught sand crabs, fed the sea gulls, and built sand castles!!!

Well, we spend the 4th of July in the mountains to escape the Vegas heat. All was good during the fireworks… until it started to rain. We watched fireworks while huddled under umbrellas!

I have always wanted an ice cream maker!!! One of my favorite memories from this summer (so far!) is hiking with my family and boyfriend on the 4th of July.
One of my favorite parts of this summer so far is that I have explored all of the cool things to do right here in my own city! It’s amazing how many places I’ve been missing out on.

I moved 2300 miles from home to sunny Southern California and started a new job. That was fun!
The fun thing I did this summer, was to introduce my first grandchild to my friends and family and a backyard get together this past weekend. My daughter & her husband flew to Massachusetts from Arizona with my one year old, very petite grand daughter, Gianna! We took her for her very first day at the beach too. What could be more fun than that?
I went to Taiwan with my hubby and celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a relaxing trip in a beautiful onsen hotel with all the pampering.

We took the boys to the lake! The best part was seeing my two year old jump off the boat over and over again. We also took him fishing for the first time. When he helped his daddy reel in his first catch he had the BIGGEST smile!

This summer I went to Salisbury beach here in the east coast and totally skipped the sunscreen and got sunburnt. But, the beach was very enjoyable and the water was just cold enough to cool me down from hanging out in the sun! It was great!

I finally surprised my husband with a birthday party that had ALL our family & friends there! Oh, & took my chi-wi to see the ocean for the first time ever & made Bunny Cake Pops for Easter! Now, it’s summer & the perfect time for Ice Cream. ;)
My family loves ice cream! We go to our local park in the summer for band concerts every Sunday night and we take a picnic, invite friends to go and usually see friends at the concerts that we haven’t seen for a while. Very relaxing and its free!
For date night a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I had a ‘Chopped’ night (like the Food Network show) where we each had 20 minutes in the grocery store to pick 5 random ingredients for the other person to make into a meal. Once we revealed the ingredients we had 5 more minutes to grab any other ‘pantry’ ingredients and then it was off home to cook dinner together. He had the entree and I had dessert- it was such a fun night although his food ended up being way more awesome than mine!

Something fun I’ve done this summer is gone apartment hunting for my first own apartment!
This summer I went to a concert all by myself since no one else knew/liked the band. Rock and roll!
We just celebrated Jaclynn’s 3rd birthday with a Robot Party. We have this really nifty robot cookie cutter that lets you change the heads, middles and feet, just like those fun books for kids. We figured out there could be 64 different cookies by rotating the parts in a systematic manner so we ended up with all one of a kind cookies for everyone at the party. We even used the sugar cookie dough you posted to make them!! Our favourite one now because you don’t have to soften the butter beforehand!! All the kids and adults had a ‘robot-terrifice’ time!
I went home to visit my family. It was pretty darn amazing.

We moved into our dream home (a fireclosure) and have been fixing it up and doing a LOT of DIY work to save money. Now it would be great to have that cute ice cream maker and have ice cream socials at our new home. :)
This summer I actually got time to spend with my grandma! I know it sounds silly, but it was probably the most fun thing to do after not getting to see her much with my last crazy semester of college.

I hosted a huge family get together for my nephew who redeployed to Afganistan. We hosted his family, wife and new baby, to a shrimp boil and ice cream feed. A local sign company made a wonderful banner for the party too in his honor. Come back safe, Brandon!
Sat up all night on July 11 to await the birth of our first grandchild. Well worth the wait.

Took a spur-of-the-moment road trip on the 4th of July to a BBQ restaurant in South Carolina that my husband remembered from his childhood. It was still there in operation. Our children loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Perfect timing! I just got home from a weekend with a pair of my closest friends. We spent the first night feeling nostalgic and watching old episodes of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”, and the next afternoon we went to lunch and then went off-roading in their Jeep. We ended up at a beach, and walked along the shore of Lake Ontario until the sun started to set.
Definitely the best weekend of my summer so far.

I have Jeni’s book checked out from the library and have been making her recipes. They are really good. I am totally addicted to making ice cream now. My 2 year old has been “helping” me. Mostly stealing berries and licking spoons.
I work for universal studios Orlando, so the majority of the summer has been working. But it doesn’t mean that’s regarding fun, some of the best people come around for summer. I’ve been to a couple concerts, hung out with friends, and had date days with the hubby. Honestly, that makes me pretty lucky.

This summer, I have not gone anywhere as of today (although hubby and I are planning a trip to Miami!). So what I have done so far is work with children with Autism during the day, and swim and hang out with my adult girls during the evenings!

My mom got remarried, also I’ve been going to the lake and I lost a total of 85 pounds.
Travelled back home to Alabama and spent a full month visiting family and friends

I need to make ice cream. I live in Texas. Sometimes we just have ice cream for dinner. I’d love to make my own, especially coffee and cookie dough and caramel.
We went to Florida and rode the new Transformers ride on the very first day. One day at Disney, 3 parks, 3 days at Universal, 2 parks. One day at LegoLand, one day at the ocean and Kennedy Space Center. Lots of fun.
I’m about to take kiddos to Legoland and Newport Beach! Been waiting patiently all summer to get out of this Phoenix heat!! Can’t wait!
I have been enjoying my evenings sitting on the deck of the home my husband and I just built on our farm. It has been so relaxing compared to my busy days as an accountant.

Summer is TOO SHORT in these parts. My kids are going back to school in two short weeks. Boo! I do remember the days when I couldn’t wait for school to start, though! :o) Nothing spectacular stands out, but we’re going to camp this week, so that should be the highlight of our summer!
We just returned from a trip to Alaska to visit my sister and her family. We enjoyed family time, my daughters caught their first fish, saw bald eagles in the wild, a glacier up close and enjoyed several hikes in the great outdoors. A wonderful family vacation!

I have three kids and we made a Summer bucket list. We are slowly checking things off throughout the summer. We made our own bouncy balls, made a fairy garden, made dinosaur volcano land, had a fruit pizza bar, and made homemade bath bombs. We have had a lot of fun this summer and would love to continue that by making homemade ice cream!
So far this summer, I’ve read a few books, spent time outdoors, and went to Wisconsin Dells.

Secondly – taking my dogs swimming during the hot Texas summer. O.K. – boring to some, but I get a blast out of seeing them have so much fun. Two Labs, one German Shepherd, one Boxer mix and one Greyhound /Lab mix..but he opted to sit it out!

This summer it’s been very very hot & humid…my Amish neighbors do not have electricity–a couple of the kids were walking down our dusty road so I stopped & they all piled in & I took them for an ice cream cone!
We’ve been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity this summer to help build houses on the weekends. It’s been fun and rewarding!

I moved to Oregon! And this past weekend we finally decided on a place to get married, with less than two months left!
Went to Disneyland a couple weekends ago on a Sunday morning – and hardly anyone was there! It was awesome.
I was finally able to sit and relax in my backyard. My man set up my hammock for me with a little table, citronella candle, and a bucket of ice cold ones. It was nice to have some me time.
My grandson was just watching a show on icecreams and wanted to knwhy I didn’t have a maker lol.

I took my daughter to see One Direction in concert at Hershey. She is a huge fan and I knew all the songs since we listen to their music in the car all the time. They put on a very good performance.
Explored a little of New England on an impromptu roadtrip from Vermont to the coast of Maine!
This summer me and my family went to Northwest trek and Had fun.After that we went to mount Rainier it was really close to the Northwest trek

The best thing I did this summer was book off every monday and friday for July and August so I could spend more time with my son. :D

Summer in our country lasts from around mid March to April. The best thing I’ve done during those months was put up my VERY FIRST BLOG. I’ve always wanted to have one but I prioritized my studies first as I went to a university. I graduated by the end of March and just days after that I made my very first blog post. That summer was really memorable and together with some family members we did this road trip and went to beaches, a waterfall, a castle-like church etc with lots of ice cream in between! Great Summer. Lovely memories. :)

I have an exhilarating summer as I graduated from high school as salutatorian, traveled to LA and NYC, visit my KY family to go to Kings Island, and had my wisdom teeth out! That ice cream machine would have been a big help! The best part though is being able to sit outside at night by the fire with the family!
I went to a wedding in Pittsburg with my husband and got to see my family.
Spent my one week summer break at catering events just so I can gain more experience being around the pastry field.
