I just took my lab puppy swimming for the first time in a friend’s pool. She was adorable, splashing around as she tried to figure it out!
Fun thing I did this summer: spent oodles of time with my children while they discovered the world around them. Life is great with an 8, 4 and 11month old!
I don’t if it is really interesting but I have spent some time traveling with my dad to museums in Ohio.
Hosted a DIY grilled pizza night/dinner with our neighbors…fun, fun, despite the pesky mosquito’s :D
I took my my kids to a local waterslide park and then enjoyed movie night in the backyard.
I went home to visit friends and family, had a really great fun time, just too short a visit though :(
Watching my 1 year old twin Grandsons while my son is running half marathons and this week going to see my nephew receive command of his ship in the NAVY down in San Diego of course with the grandsons in tow! I know they would LOVE some Homemade Ice Cream it would be their first time haveing such a delicious treat!

We moved from the beach area in January to the foothills. It usually never was hotter than 70 degrees. Now where we live we hear it will be 90-100 degrees in aug. and sept! I’ve been hot in this july 80 degree weather! Ice cream everyday sounds good for the kids and I….

I went to the Smoky Mountains and jumped at the Sinks. A 15′ + high cliff to freezing water. Too chicken to do it two years ago. Brave and exhilarating.
I have taken my dog to the beach! He loves it when you throw his stick into the water and dives to get it! Bringing him to the beach was first to escape the heat of the summer, but when I realized how much he loved it we turned it into a three times a week event :) Ice cream is also a great way to beat the heat this summer :) thanks for the opportunity to win this machine, Bakerella!!!!

We went to San Diego to greet our son’s ship returning from his first deployment overseas. We went to the San Diego zoo, Sea World, the Wildlife Park and ate at some incredible restaurants. Because we missed his birthday, we had a special meal at Sullivan’s steakhouse and at our son’s seat they put a brass nameplate that said “Our Hero”. So very classy!
this has not been a really fun summer. I had shoulder surgery and have been hanging out at home, reading blogs, watching movies sitting in the sun…..
Actually, that all sounds better than it really is! I am so bored!

I’ve been traveling… pretty good summer.
My 2 year old and I are making her first batch of cookies right now! She’s learning to cook!
Ice cream is my favorite food. Sometimes, I eat it for dinner! Once, my ganddaughter told her mom, “Mamasita let me have ice cream and pretzels for dinner!” We had a great family vacation at my parents house in Pensacola over the 4th of July. Both of my mom’s kids (one is me), 3 of the 6 grandkids, 1 great-grandkid and some friends went down there. We had all the beds full plus 3 blow-up beds. Wall-to-wall people. It was a very exciting time for everyone! We had ice cream every night for late night snack!
This summer I got a new job and moved – scary but super exciting!
It hasn’t happened yet, but my husband and I are going to visit my friend in Maryland in a few weeks!
I think the most fun thing I’ve done so far this summer is take my 13yo niece on a photo walk. She’d never worked with a dSLR, so we took our time, went for a walk and she absolutely loved it.
I went to the shooting range for the first time!
Had Jeni’s ice cream for the first time at Easton in Columbus, OH. That was fun… and yummy!

We went camping to celebrate my uncle’s 70th Birthday. The whole family came and it was a blast!
I planned a trip to St. Augustine, FL for me and my boyfriend over the Memorial Day weekend. We visited the St. Augustine Lighthouse first thing when we got into town, and it was amazing! When we got to the hotel, we found out my reservation had been messed up and there were no rooms available for the weekend. I broke down crying, thinking our special weekend was ruined. But my boyfriend said, “Let’s go to Savannah!” We started calling hotels all over Savannah, GA, and found a great one not far from the Historic Downtown area. We spent the next two days exploring the historic district, trying new foods, and just marveling at all the wonderful stories of this beautiful town! The weather was perfect for us, and it turned out to be a wonderful weekend that I will not soon forget! And we can’t wait to go back either!! :-)

We went camping in beautiful Big Sur CA this summer and the weather was amazing! We stayed in a cabin overlooking the ocean and if we had this ice-cream machine, we would’ve made some homemade ice-cream! This summer my husband and I have started driving more..it’s random..just for the heck of it, get in the Jeep and drive more than we have to. For the fun of it, for the thrill…it sounds weird but we have enjoyed it. We don’t go to the theater or eat out really so the gas isn’t “wasted” it’s our treat. Driving under the stars, taking turns at the wheel…just because.
I moved to Toronto! Living right by Blue Jays stadium and the water and I’m loving it here!

I work in a bakery so everyday is fun! I am getting ready to sprnd a week, here in las vegas with my best friend. We are going to a concert, getting our first tattoos and going to have a blast. We are celebrating our 20th year of friendship this summer!! Whoot for summer!
I took a car trip with my two kids and my mom from Arizona to Kansas to see my dad, sister, and brother. Boy was it a long drive! But we had so much fun out there, my kids didn’t want to come back! Not to mention teaching my nephews some new recipes (including the homemade strawberry ice cream!). We made some great memories!

This summer my father and I built a small 4′ by 3′ wooden raft. We live right near a river so we all hopped on and paddled our way 3 miles down the river. Unfortunately we were sun burnt by the time we got back.
I got to spend a fun filled weekend with with family and friends going to see two of my favorite bands. What’s even better was that both tickets combined were under $50!
I slept until 1PM on Saturday. It was glorious. Fun for grown-ups!
Ate watermelon with my 6 month old son. He’s only just starting on solids and he loved the juicy fruit on a hot summers day.
This summer I’ve simply made the time to spend time with my littles doing things like family game night for a week or swimming. It’s been the best summer on record for us all!
Took my 6 year old son to Krispy Kreme donuts, let him pick out 2, then took them home and hung them by a string. We tied our hands behind our back and ourselves a little donut eating contest. He definitely won! Hey, cheap thrills, right?
I’ve mostly been working this summer, but I finally got to go down the shore the other day and it was wonderful.
My husband transitioned from one job that ended in May to a new job that started in July. We had the whole month of June to act like kids again. The entire month was totally awesome.
Took my kids to the city museum, zoo and grants farm in St Louis had a blast!!
I’ve gotten a variety of ice cream to try…especially with Sunday being National Ice Cream Day!

I made Pirate cakepops with my 3 year old niece (for her 3 year old Pirate themed birthday party). I let her dip all the red scarves and put the white sugar dots on. She loved it and they were a huge hit with the kids. Now every weekend she wants to bake something. Really she wants me to bake so she can decorate which is always fun. I really let her do whatver she wants! It’s all about the quality time together :) Ice cream would be another great add to our play dates….
Spending special time with my step daughter. We live in CA and she lives in TX. Since our move to the west coast seeing her is a challenge so when we do we love every second of our time with her.
We took our son who is 6 months old on his very first family vacation to Hawaii!!!

I went to my friends cabin on a river and we canoed! So awesome!
Took up running! Someone convinced me to sign up for a 5k fun run and I (rather randomly) agreed! I never thought I’d say this but it’s really not that bad… hence why I’m entering this competition, so I can have a nice ice cream at the end.
Took my 15 months baby boy to the beach fo the first time. He loved the sand and the water!!! We had a wonderfull time.
I’ve been wanting an ice cream maker for soooo long ;) we did a camp out in my parents backyard last weekend with my kiddos and my brothers kiddos;) complete with s’mores
I took a trip home to surprise my parents and meet up with a cousin I hadn’t seen in 10 years. We went to the local ice cream parlor twice in one day and don’t regret a bite!
I’ve never been camping and this week I’m leaving for a ‘primitive’ beach camp with my bf. Hopefully it’ll be fun, but I’m packing the aloe just in case!

I visited Hope, Alaska with a wonderful man and explored all over.
Took the kids to the pool & beach. Now I’m taking myself to Vegas.
I got to (almost) feel young again by spending a week at Youth Camp, chaperoning the youth from my church, tiring but FUN.
This summer I found out we’re having our first baby and we’re so excited!! The I’ve cream maker would be perfect for curbing cravings!
We went to Gulf Shores Alabama for 7 nights and did nothing but relax on the beach!!!!
I made awesome blueberry cheesecake ice cream in my Cuisinart ice cream maker for my college-age boys! They ate it up so quickly, I would love to have 2 of them, so I can make twice as much in half the time!!!
Bwhahaha – we just had an Ice Cream Social for our new pastor last night – boy this sure would have been handy dandy! I made blueberry muffin ice cream and mint chocolate chip from my herb garden!

We took a wonderful, week long trip to our hometown.
I have just sent off my brother and his wife on their honeymoon at the beach. We gave them the trip as a wedding gift, and they had to visit several family members to get directions. I was the last one and “saw them off” to the hotel via phone. They are super excited and very happy!
Spent extra time hanging out with my nephew, blowing bubbles, eating treats, colouring, movie night, playing with dinosaurs, anything he wanted to do.
My husband and I bought a new pre-owned car this summer!
Waking up as early as 4am to take an hour ride to the beach was a bit early, but being there with my hunny and going crabbing was tons of fun!!! We were at one of the worst destroyed places on the Jersey Shore, but it was great to see the beauty being restored and how it’s not stopping people from smiling and keeping to their annual traditions. Crabbing is our tradition.

After 44 years of avoiding lakes because of the mud on the bottom, I broke down and bought a pair of water shoes and a pool noodle with an alligator head and tail and have learned to love the lake. Kevin (my gator pool noodle) and I plan to spend many happy weekends floating together with our friends. This summer has actually felt like a real summer, not just a hotter regular work week.
