Last fall during the book tour, I visited a bunch of cupcake bakeries and sweet shops in just about every city I passed through. Miette was one of my favorites in San Francisco. If you get a chance, make sure to give them a visit.
They have two locations. One in the Ferry Building and one on Octavia Street. They also have one in Oakland and another opening later this year in Larkspur, California.
In San Francisco, the one on Octavia Street is bigger than the Ferry building location, but both are just as cute as can be.
I loved the colors and the display of sweets. So did Julie.
Everywhere you turn are the cutest treats with adorable packaging.

Miette recently released a cookbook filled with recipes of their signature sweets.
Pretty awesome.
And pretty cute. I love the scalloped pages.
It ties in beautifully with the shop accents.

I made the Tomboy Cake. So good. It’s made with chocolate and cocoa.

I believe the last cookbook I got was actually Cake Pops back in January for my Birthday. I got it and got to make a few before I had to put my mixer and cookbooks away for a few months. Shortly after getting it we found out we were pregnant with triplets and it was out of the kitchen for me to take it easy! But have no fear,we have two little girls and a boy on the way, and I can’t wait to get back in the kitchen and cool with them!

There’s a burger place here in DC called Good Stuff that I am positively addicted to. As in, if I’m within walking distance of the place I have no choice but to eat there. It’s bad. Even worse? I bought their cookbook, so now I get the greasy goodness at home as well as when I go into the district! Score! Except not for my arteries! But still….SCORE!

As I read your post, I thought that I should look into finding this Miette cookbook because I enjoyed one of their delectable chocolate lavender macarons last summer in their Ferry Building location. Sweet memories — literally!! :)

My husband and I just spent our 10th anniversary hanging around the Ferry Building and then eating all of our treats outside overlooking the water. It was such a great day and we shared a mini lemon pound cake from Miette. I had to take pictures of their shop, it was so cute! My most recent cookbook is Our Best Bites and my mom’s cousin recommended Maida Heatter since I am loving cake baking these days.

I don’t really own a cookbook of my own, but back when I was vegan, I borrowed a vegan cookbook from the library and I was already cooking before that but it lit the fire (also literally) that got me baking and cooking. If I was planning to get one of my own, (and I should) I would get ‘Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World’ or ‘Ready for Dessert’ :)

I got two new cookbooks on mothers day, yours (LOVE IT, BTW) and one that is a compilation from our ladies at church. The next on my list is The Donut Book, by Sally Levitt Steinburg and I also will be adding the Miette one to my list!
I can’t wait to get my hands on the Baked cookbook by Matt Lewis & Renato Poliafito. I flipped through a copy from the library and fell in love!
The last cookbook I bought was your cake pop book. I waited for you to come to Washington State for your book signing at the Bellevue Mall=) I also recently became an organ donor because of you! Not exactly sure the next cookbook i’ll buy, but if I don’t win, I will most likely get that Miette book. It’s too cute not to have!

My last cookbooks I got at the same time for christmas, they are your Cake Pops book and The Pioneer Woman cookbook! My sisters and I are planning a trip to san fran next year and I was just wondering what little bakeries I should go to! This one looks amazing!

Wow, the last cook book I purchased was Paula Deen’s My First Cookbook for my eldest daughter. My next?? Miette…. I have to have that now that I have seen it!

I just got Sugar Baby by Gesine Bullock-Prado, and I can’t wait to make some of the candies in it!
The last one I bought was Veganomicon, which I love! The next one I buy may just have to be this one though! (If I don’t win of course!)

The last cookbook I acquired was from Jules Gluten Free. I can’t wait to see how the Miette recipes turn out as a gluten free for my son’s 12th birthday next week.

as for my last book, I bought the cakepops book. i’m living on a college students budget so i’ve resorted to online searching for recipes instaed of buy another book… can’t wait til that changes!

I’m so glad you are feeling well and baking again! My latest cookbook was Mark Bittman’s How to cook everything vegetarian. I bought it for my daughter. I might have to get one for me too, though.
The last cookbook I bought was a Gooseberry Patch cookbook at an outlet store! At $4 it was a steal!
I am looking forward to getting the Cake Pop book! My husband promised he would get it for me within the next couple weeks :)

The last cookbook I received was Ree Drummond’s — a pick-me-up from my mother after I lost my job last year.
A lot of the writers of food blogs I read are writing cookbooks right now — I think the one I’ve been anticipating the longest is from Smitten Kitchen.
The last cookbook I bought was a Taste of Home, I just let my mom borrow it last weekend. I had to get a bookshelf for all my cookbooks last week, this cookbook looks amazing though! I would love to go to this bakery some day!
