Last fall during the book tour, I visited a bunch of cupcake bakeries and sweet shops in just about every city I passed through. Miette was one of my favorites in San Francisco. If you get a chance, make sure to give them a visit.
They have two locations. One in the Ferry Building and one on Octavia Street. They also have one in Oakland and another opening later this year in Larkspur, California.
In San Francisco, the one on Octavia Street is bigger than the Ferry building location, but both are just as cute as can be.
I loved the colors and the display of sweets. So did Julie.
Everywhere you turn are the cutest treats with adorable packaging.

Miette recently released a cookbook filled with recipes of their signature sweets.
Pretty awesome.
And pretty cute. I love the scalloped pages.
It ties in beautifully with the shop accents.

I made the Tomboy Cake. So good. It’s made with chocolate and cocoa.
And I must say, it feels good to feel like baking again.

Ironically enough the last cookbook that I had purchased was Cake Pops! Not to brown nose or anything, but, it is FANTASTIC!! My next purchase I would like to possibly get The Pioneer Woman. I’ve seen mention of Miette before and Oh My Gosh their cakes look amazing and girly and fabulous!

The last cookbook was My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness by Gwyneth Paltrow, which was signed by her. The next one would be Local Flavors: Cooking and Eating from America’s Farmers’ Markets, for my summer cookbook.
The last cookbook I bought was “Just a Bite” by Gale Gand. I went to a fundraiser in Chicago, and she was there making her “Lemon Cream Daisies”. Afterwards, she sold a few of her cookbooks, and signed it for me, too! The next cook book I want is “Our Best Bites”, I’ve followed their website for awhile and drool over their food quite often. I just bought “How Baking Works”, which is a book about the science behind baking. I want to understand what I’m doing, not just throw a bunch of ingredients together in a bowl! =) I also recently purchased a Professional Baking textbook from Le Cordon Bleu and The Cake Bible. I can’t wait to get my hands on this Miette cookbook! If not this one, I’ll definitely seek one on miniature desserts, I’ve been obsessed with your cake balls lately! =)

The last cookbook I got was our new church cookbook. And although I would love lots of new sweets cookbooks, I don’t think I will be able to purchase any anytime soon. :(
What an adorable shop! The last cookbooks I received was on Mother’s Day..What’s Up Cupcake and Cake Pops by Bakerella! I just took a trip to Oregon to visit friends, they both insisted I teach them how to do it! Thank you for your fabulous recipes.

It’s sad to say I can’t remember the last cookbook I acquired, however, I have the next small batch baking cookbook coming this week from Barnes and Noble.
I want this one! I love the scalloped edges and I am a sucker for smaller scale items!

I just purchased Martha Stewart’s Cupcakes. I haven’t tried any of the recipes yet but just flipping through the pages makes my mouth water!

It has been so long since I have gotten a new cookbook, but I would like more baking cookbooks. I am a caregiver for my mother who has Alzheimer’s and I bake on my free time because it is my zen time. Friends and family purchase my baked goods which gives me extra spending money to do fun things with my family. So baking is a win win situation for me. Any new baking cookbooks would be very helpful.
I haven’t gotten a cook book in years because I travel so much and try to keep everything on line, but I really want this one! It’d be worth toting around for sure

Just purchased Cake Pops by you Bakerella in June and made the cupcake pops. They turned out great. I just love the look of this new Miette book and think I will purchase it next. Maybe I will win it!!!

I went to New York this spring, for the first time. My mother purchased her treasured copy of “The Joy of Cooking” thirty years ago, on her first visit to the Big Apple. She suggested that I do the same, since I love cooking and baking just as much as she does, and because “the Joy of Cooking” has taught her so much over the years. So I purchased my very own first copy this spring, from a bookstore right on Fifth Avenue, in the hopes that its pages will one day be filled with all the same scribbles, sticky notes and stars that my mother’s is filled with, and that one day, I can pass along this tradition to my own daughter.
I recently bouth Pioneer Woman’s Cookbook…LOVE IT!! I would also want to give a copy of Cake Pops to my daughter!

The last cookbook I received included a sampling of Asian cooking from about 10-12 different countries. It was a gift along with a wok.
the last cookbook i acquired was one that i helped put together with some friends–now we all have a copy and it’s so fun to have a copy of 300 favorite recipes from people i know and love!

The last cookbook I received was more for my husband- it was a charcuterie book. :( I would absolutely LOVE to get my hands on the Miette one, though. I am afraid it will cause me to quit my job and start a bakery!
