Last fall during the book tour, I visited a bunch of cupcake bakeries and sweet shops in just about every city I passed through. Miette was one of my favorites in San Francisco. If you get a chance, make sure to give them a visit.
They have two locations. One in the Ferry Building and one on Octavia Street. They also have one in Oakland and another opening later this year in Larkspur, California.
In San Francisco, the one on Octavia Street is bigger than the Ferry building location, but both are just as cute as can be.
I loved the colors and the display of sweets. So did Julie.
Everywhere you turn are the cutest treats with adorable packaging.

Miette recently released a cookbook filled with recipes of their signature sweets.
Pretty awesome.
And pretty cute. I love the scalloped pages.
It ties in beautifully with the shop accents.

I made the Tomboy Cake. So good. It’s made with chocolate and cocoa.
And I must say, it feels good to feel like baking again.

I ejoy your websit-Blog. I am a Newbie to the computer…my son said you “CAN” teach an Old Dog new tricks…so he’s experimenting with me and this computer. I believe my last cookbook was “Christmas Cookies” by Flower Pot. But the book by Miette is so beautifully written & the photography is fabulous.
Those are adorable! My very first niece was born Wednesday (the 6th) and I would love to make something from that cookbook for the mom and dad! Those are sooo freaking cute.

Can you say “ice cream”? I’m reading through my newest cookbook find (a gift from a very generous friend) JENI’S SPLENDID ICE CREAMS AT HOME. Yummy and fascinating. Just this morning I had my eye on TART AND SWEET: 101 CANNING AND PICKLING RECIPES FOR THE MODERN KITCHEN. I probably wouldn’t use both of these cookbooks on the same day…unless I was expecting!!
The cookbook I want next is Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home.

Last one I got was the Silver Spoon Pasta book. Can’t live without my pasta. I have been eyeballing a Jamaican Jerk BBQ cookbook because I’ve been craving the spicy lately.
The latest cookbook is a little self-published cookbook from the Kitchenette Restaurant in New York City. It has the most darling recipes and sayings from the two owners, Ann and Lisa. And, it is always fun to have cookbooks from places you have actually visited :)
Pioneer Woman’s cookbook. I love that thing, the pages are already sticky from splashing stuff on it. There are so many cookbooks I want though, especially the Bakerella cookbook and the Baked cookbooks!
My favorite cookbooks are by Taste of Home, usually ones for the holidays. So a Taste of Home cookbook will probably be my next one too.

I had a chance to visit when I was in San Francisco last year and was pleasantly surprised by all the amazing flavours and choices I had to choose from. Great place to visit and even better to shop for little mini cakes.

I got my last cookbook for my birthday from my boyfriend. It is a re-edition of a very old and popular (in my country) cookbook. My boyfriend heard me mention it when I read praise about it in a cooking magazine about a month before my birthday, but I had forgotten about it immediately, so it was quite a surprise :-)
I really don’t own too many cook books. I’m a youngin (23) wanting to get my collection started and this book looks so awesome. The pictures, the pages and of course the different treats I’ll be able to make! =)

Oh how I love Miette. I just got “Top 100 Baby Purees” so Miette’s cookbook with some very grown up recipes would be a nice change!
The last cookbook I acquired is “Cooking With Italian Grandmothers” by Jessica Theroux. The story line around the Italian Grandmothers involved inside of this book is so amazing you actually feel as if you have stepped right into their kitchen when you create their special recipes, and feel you dont want to fail in the execution…wonderful cookbook!

The last cookbook I got was actually YOUR cakepop book! It was a gift from a dear friend and my daughter’s teacher. I’m not much of a cookbook kind of girl, per se. When I cook, I throw in what looks good or sounds like it would taste good. Usually it’s a success. Baking is different. There’s a science to baking. I’d probably buy some sort of baking book? Maybe a bread book since I really want a new bread machine too? Not sure.

The last cookbook I bought was the 125th Anniversary of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church, Adams, North Dakota, pop. about 150. I absolutely love church cookbooks. Always great recipes to be found in them. I grew up in this small town located in the northeast corner of North Dakota. The potatoes grown in this area of the Red River Valley are the best potatoes I’ve ever tasted.

The next cook book I want to get will be all about cookies! I am still reading reviews and trying to determine which one, but it needs to have healthy cookies, fun cookies, easy to make cookies and some complicated show-stopping cookies!

I just purchased Sundays at Moosewood and my next purchase was going to be Miette so I guess if I win I can splurge on the new Penguin line of classic cookbooks.
I purchased the book PLENTY! I had to wait 2 LONG months for the book to come back into print for my copy! It is excellent. Love it!

Last cookbook I bought? Goodness, it’s been way too long. I picked up a copy of The Complete Seasonal Cookbook – but as that was over two years ago, I’m due for getting a new cookbook! Funny thing is that I buy cookbooks for other people and always think, “I should pick up a copy for myself too!” but then end up not. My next purchase I haven’t decided on yet, but I’m thinking the Cake Pops book would be a great one to have! So many fun ideas!

I bought the two cookbooks from the guys who own Baked in Brooklyn! Their cakes are so yummy… I’ve actually been wanting this cookbook & I want to buy a bread making cookbook since that’s the one area of baking I haven’t gotten into very much.
